So we made a second trip and weren't disappointed! The pretzel charcuterie board was absolutely fantastic! I loved everything about it. Especially the pretzel with the beer cheese. My husband had a pork chop sandwich and said it was delicious. You certainly get a lot of food for your money. Matt was a beast behind the bar. We were absolutely amazed at how quickly he was making multiple drinks and getting beer from the taps. He gets five stars alone! He was very personable and funny. Him and his sidekick Ryan ("Matt Ryan" LOL). Good vibes and a GREAT beer selection too!! I would definitely visit here again when in town. Highly recommend! Go early, parking can be a little difficult.

Stopped in for dinner with my wife at this local brewery…read more The business is located close to the pier but not in the pier area. The business has a small parking lot it shares with other businesses, there is also a small gravel lot beside it that you can park at. If you go at a busy time, parking can be a chore. Upon arrival, the business was busy with both inside and outside seating filled but we were seated immediately at a table with both bench and chair seating that shared the bench with other tables. There is also bar seating and you can sit at a high top that borders the brew stations. It took a few minutes for us to meet our server who took our drink orders. Soda for her and non-alcoholic IPA for me. It took our server a while to bring our drinks and she forgot my IPA so she had to go find it. Once we had our beverages, we ordered our food. We started with the bacon wrapped blue cheese dates - the dates are served on tooth picks and looked great but the blue cheese overpowered the flavor of everything else. My wife ordered the special of the day (not on everyday menu) which was shrimp tacos with a black bean pineapple salsa and house made chips and fries. I opted for the house burger with cheddar cooked medium and chips and fries. It took a long time for our food to come out and after observing our server chatting it with a table of her friends who were behind us, I am pretty sure she may have forgot to order it in a timely manner. When our food came it was auctioned off to us by another team member (no server to be found). My wife's tacos were overstuffed and fell apart. I tried one and the fried shrimp tasted really fishy to me, not like fried shrimp is supposed to taste. My burger was okay but nothing special. Really wanted to like this place but it did not live up to our expectations.

Filled with jalapeños, green onions, bacon, and cheese, it was truly an experience. The maple brioche donut was light and airy, but despite that being the focus here, it did not compare to the biscuits. We came a bit in the off season, and the line was pretty long even 10-15 minutes after opening, but the staff is efficient and it moved quickly. The interior is retro with a small amount of seating. Dulce Dough is deserving of the hype and I would wait in line for their biscuits and donuts anytime.

Ordered pick-up from this local pizzeria located in a roadside shopping center on St Simons island…read more They do not offer delivery so I had to pick it up and it was close to my hotel. I placed a pick-up order for a large 16 inch sausage pizza and an order of 12 mild buffalo wings. The employee on the phone said it would be about 45 minutes and upon arriving, I noted that the business did a brisk sit down and carry-out service on a Friday night. The business has a walk up window to pick up carry out orders bc the interior is small but if the person who is working the window/ counter/ cash register is busy/ distracted it can take a few to get their attention. The young lady who took my order advised that my order should be up soon and I ended up waiting closer to an hour. When I got my food, everything was well packaged and prepared. They also gave me plates for my hotel room. Upon getting the food to our room, my wife and I dug in. The pizza was thin and crispy with sliced sausage and a nice pizza sauce that had a great flavor. The wings were crispy and well sauced. Their ranch is thick, flavorful and perfect for dipping wings in. I am pretty sure the ranch is house made. So glad we asked for extra ranch. We had enough for left over the next day and the food was just as good cold the next day. Good option for a pickup to go meal after a long day.
