We have dined at the Tyson's Corner Palm for several years but our most recent visit was considered the best experience ever due to the excellent service by long time server MISHKA‍ Mishka knows the Palm menu and cuisine as well as how to size up a table and serve accordingly. Our linguine w/clam sauce and jumbo Maine lobster were delish, complimented by the special blue cheese dressed salad. Thank you Mr Mishka again....‍ read more

Went here for the first time to celebrate my dad's birthday on a Saturday night, and overall we had a really nice experience. Right from the start, the hostess was very attentive to detail - she noticed our request for a brighter dining area near the window, and also acknowledged that we were celebrating my dad's birthday. We were seated in a spacious booth by the window, which was perfectly lit while still keeping the ambiance of a dim dining environment. The restaurant also offers complementary valet parking, which made arriving and leaving much more convenient on a rainy Saturday evening. (Alternatively, you can also self-park at the garage adjacent to the restaurant for a fee, or park at Tysons Galleria, walk through the Ritz-Carlton, and walk across the roundabout.) The restaurant was extremely busy for a Saturday night, and you could definitely tell the servers were constantly running around trying to keep up. Because of that, service was a bit slower at times, but the staff remained friendly, energetic, and attentive throughout the evening. We started with warm focaccia bread served with a side of olive oil/parmesan while waiting for our order to be taken. After kindly refilling our bread upon request, another server came by to take our order. We ordered the Tuna Crudo, Lobster Bisque, Shrimp Sauté, Wagyu Lasagna, 12oz Filet Mignon, 14 oz Prime New York Steak and Lobster Mac & Cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed the filet, which was tender, juicy and cooked to the perfect temperature; however, the tuna crudo appetizer was not as expected - it seemed more like a seared ahi tuna dish than an actual crudo. The shrimp in the Shrimp Sauté dish was very decently sized, although the linguine was overcooked for my liking. Also, my dad requested his New York Strip to be prepared medium-well, but it came out closer to medium-rare (though honestly,'it's much better for a steak to be undercooked than overcooked). The wagyu lasagna had an interesting presentation, but it could have benefited from a bit more seasoning, as the flavor came across somewhat mild. After dinner, our server surprised by dad with a complimentary dessert for his birthday, where he could choose any dessert on the menu. He chose the carrot cake, which was a bit too sweet for our liking, but it had real shredded carrot pieces throughout the cake, which was a nice touch. The staff also packed up all of our leftovers, and despite how busy the night was, our server never forgot we were celebrating. One of the sweetest details was that they even gave my dad a handwritten birthday card with "Happy Birthday" stamped on the envelope, which made the experience feel extra thoughtful and personal. Overall, this was a great first experience here for us. Despite the slower service due to how packed the restaurant was, the hospitality, atmosphere and quality of the food made for a memorable birthday dinner. We will definitely be returning in the future. read more

The dinner I had here was great. The lobster ravioli was delicious with a good sauce. The ribeye was cooked well and was flavorful. And all the drinks I had here were great. The service was good and the restaurant had a classic ambiance. read more

I returned here after a while for another group dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly, attentive service. Instead of my usual staple - the steak - I decided to try the chicken Parmesan. It was delicious, and the portion size was massive. The tomato soup was fairly average, and we finished the meal with the tiramisu, which was decent but probably not their strongest dessert. Overall, it was a great experience. As a huge bonus, the complimentary valet service is incredibly convenient and a massive time saver. Just remember to tip the attendants! read more

2.5 stars. Honestly, was excited to try out The Palm- but it definitely fell short of my expectations. Parking is complimentary valet or self parking at garage in the back for $$ (see picture). 1) food was bland and nothing special for the price point (parent compared it to Olive Garden -yikes). Out of the three entrees we got (Linguini with white clam sauce, shrimp sauté, and Sicilian Salmon), the shrimp sauté was the better one. Complimentary bread not bad. 2) wow- very loud, didn't expect that- nothing on the restaurant but we were yelling across the table to hear, and took a bit of adjusting to focus 3) server was kind- felt we had to flag her down several times for drink refills 4) soda was flat -for $5.25 soda, should have carbonation All in all, wasn't super impressed- don't think I'd make it a point to return read more

I went to The Palm in Tysons Corner about a month ago for a work dinner, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Even without ordering appetizers, the meal more than delivered. For my main, I ordered the 22-ounce bone-in ribeye, and it was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and exactly what you hope for from a classic steakhouse. Every bite was rich and satisfying. On the side, I ordered the smoked bacon mac and cheese and the asparagus, and both were absolute standouts. The mac and cheese was indulgent, creamy, and full of flavor, and the asparagus was cooked just right. Everything across the board was truly a 10 out of 10. The service really elevated the evening. Our server was attentive without hovering, very personable, and had excellent interpersonal skills. They made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of, which is especially important during a work dinner. The food was so good that I am actually coming back this weekend with my parents, which says a lot. I would highly recommend The Palm to anyone looking for a high-quality steakhouse experience in the Tysons area. It is a great spot for business dinners, celebrations, or just an all-around excellent meal. read more

Lovely Easter dinner with my daughter and granddaughter. Service was friendly and attentive. Food came quickly - almost too quickly, since they weren't busy. The menu is a fairly standard old-school steakhouse with some Italian dishes as well. Something for everyone. All the food was well-prepared and tasty. Caesar salad - generous and fresh; just what you expect from a Caesar. Calamari appetizer - generously portioned and plenty of fresh calamari in addition to some peppers and lemons. My daughter loved the aioli and my granddaughter the marinara. Filet with bearnaise sauce - perfectly cooked and tender, and the bearnaise was creamy and luxurious. Shrimp with pasta - a nice, lighter dish for my granddaughter who wasn't hungry from all the Easter candy she ate. The dish is quite simple but she liked it. Lobster - I had a 3 lb lobster. It was wonderful and perfectly broiled. They help you get the meat out of the claws and it is served with fresh lemon and drawn butter. It was more than I could eat; had I eaten the entire thing I would have needed more butter. Au gratin potatoes and bacon mac&cheese - rich and decadent. Tiramisu - huge portion and quite light and tasty. The girls lapped it up. I don't understand some of the recent negative reviews. I used to go to The Palm for work quite a bit, but it's been over a decade since I worked in Tysons. The high quality is still the same. Of course, if you are looking for trendy and inventive food, this is not your place. But if you like a traditional steak house, The Palm is quite good. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the restaurant is fairly pricey for the location in an office building, and the menu could use a bit of an update. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and all the friendly people who work in the restaurant. read more

I had the osso buco. It was delicious! The meat was super tender and the sauce was amazing. The mashed potatoes paired well - I exchanged pasta for this. I also had the blood orange margarita, which was a bit strong for my liking. Overall, delicious meal and good time! read more

We had a great time for a birthday lunch! Bill was extremely helpful and very nice with the best chocolate cak :)

The Palm is certainly not what I remember from years ago. Atmosphere was noisy. There was no ambiance for a very special birthday. Sides were warm and not hot. The portions for the sides were plentiful but they weren't that good. The mushrooms were overcooked. The mashed potatoes were watery. The creamed spinach was good but tasted very much like you get at the grocery store in the frozen section. The rib eye steak was tough. Lobster tail was tasty but chewy and a small portion. It was embarrassing to pay a high price for an evening that we looked forward to that turned out to be such a disappointment. The restaurant was barely full for a weekend evening. That must tell you something. However, on a high note the service is very good. read more

May be the best service we have ever had. Mishka is a true gem and makes you feel like one of the family. In what's a fun, old world feel, but certainly not stuffy dining experience you do feel like you have walked into an early twentieth century steakhouse/itlian restaurant for Sunday night dinner. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and seasoned well. The brussel sprouts and hashbrowns were excellent, and very large portions. The bacon Mac n cheese was also good but i think i would skip it next time. I'll tell you what's on my eye is the wedge salad and the chicken parm, both look incredible and like must try's. The Palm is a win all the way around, highly recommend. read more

Mishka consistently provides one of the best dining experiences I've had at The Palm. I went to the Palm with my mom and sister. We ordered the lobster special, which featured an appetizer, 4 lbs of lobster, and dessert for 2. Overall this was a lot of food and a fun experience. They brought out bibs for the lobster and the dish itself was huge. The only thing is the service was really slow so we were at the restaurant for over 2 hours. read more

I think this restaurant is just being kept in business by the offices that surround it during the week. Gone are the days of the true Palm. Service was impeccable (5-stars) as always but the food was just so disappointing I don't think we'll ever come back. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday - the steaks were not seasoned and not cooked properly for a steakhouse. They even looked sad & colorless. The lobsters tasted frozen and boiled. Just not worth it anymore unless you're going for drinks. Super disappointing. read more

The Palm has been my favorite restaurant since I was 16 years old. I LOVE the Palm. I've been to every single one in New Jersey, New York and this past week and my husband took me to Tyson's corner for a weekend birthday celebration and let me just tell you it is still as fabulous as ever. It's absolutely my favorite steakhouse, nothing compares and what really took it to the next level was Bill our server. Service was impeccable. I shared that I was a big birthday and not only did he recommend the most fabulous glass of Chardonnay. He knew his wines. He also gave me a carrot cake for a birthday dessert and it was incredible. It always is lol I love the Palm, but Bill really kicked it up, as we had shared with him we were going to a concert in Baltimore, which was going to be a crazy drive so he had our food arrive perfectly cooked. A perfection got us in and out with still an exquisite dining experience. Nothing felt rushed at all. It was so perfect. We fell in love with the Tyson corner and will be coming back again very soon for another phenomenal ribeye. And a glass of wine and would love to have Bill as our server as he was wonderful I can't say enough about this establishment and their quality of food and their staff. If I could give this 10 stars, I would it was that fantastic. Thank you read more

I was taken to the Palm for my birthday. It was our first time and we loved it! They handed me a birthday card when I walked in and we were seated shortly after. The atmosphere was classic and elegant, like "old money " (if that makes sense lol). The service was great. You can tell our waitress was busy but she made sure to stop in to check on us a few times. We didn't feel neglected or overwhelmed by her presence. She popped up the perfect amount of times. We didn't have to look for her and we didn't have to push her away lol. The food was great! Nothing we had was bad. I ordered the Bone-in ribeye with mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms. He had the lamb with tri-risotto and green beans with a side of creamed spinach. We had calamari and lobster bisque as starters. They also gave us a complimentary bread basket. It was really good! The pretzel was my fave The steak and lamb were cooked to perfection! The mashed potatoes were whipped and creamy and the mushrooms paired well with my steak. The risotto (which I don't usually like) was very tasty! The lobster bisque was velvety and flavorful, as well as the creamed spinach (it was some of the best I've ever had). My least favorite was the calamari HOWEVER, don't get me wrong, it was also good. I had the Paloma with reposado and he had the peachy keen, both drinks were good. We took desserts home, the chocolate cake and the carrot cake. Both was good, the chocolate was the better of the two. There was man there who seemed to be in charge of the floor who took our bill to comp my carrot cake for my birthday without me even asking. This place ran like a well oiled machine and they displayed great team work! I would definitely recommend 10/10. read more

The Palm continues to stand out among the many steakhouses in the DMV. While it may be part of a larger group, the team has retained a genuine sense of uniqueness--and that starts with Alex behind the bar. Whether I visit weekly or once a month, Alex always greets me with a warm smile, remembers our last conversation, and asks how I've been and how work is going. His ability to manage a full bar while making each guest feel personally connected is truly masterful. It's nice to have that neighborhood bar feel. read more

I was in town for business and staying at the hotel next door, so I decided to stop into The Palm on a Sunday and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I sat down at the bar, Alex made the experience exceptional. He was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and took the time to walk me through the menu with great recommendations. It's always a great sign when someone genuinely enjoys helping you have a good experience, and Alex absolutely delivered. The steak was beyond amazing...perfectly cooked, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for from a place like this. The atmosphere was equally great...comfortable, lively without being overwhelming, and the perfect vibe to kick off a work trip. Overall, a fantastic experience. Starting with the valet parking, my friends and I were utterly spoiled at my birthday luncheon. We were greeted and escorted to our table where our waiter Alex recommended an incredible peach martini made to perfection. There was a shrimp appetizer special that melted in your mouth, accompanied by calamari, oysters on the half shell, lobster bisque and focaccia to die for. I had the surf and turf and definitely had the best of all worlds. I loved the Brussel sprouts in the pomegranate sauce almost as much as I loved the scalloped potatoes. We had a really positive experience coming to the Palm for an early dinner. Our waiter as attentive and dealt with our indecisiveness and our banter. We started off with the shrimp casino and the prosciutto with sweet pear, both were great. They don't have any draft beers but they make a good dirty martini. I got the chicken parmigiana which was huge but had no pasta. That was ok as we had order a ton of sides for those who for steak- creamed spinach, hash browns, and au gratin were all sides that were definitely worth it. The steaks all looked great and were cooked to order- order the Pittsburgh style for a great crust. We finished the night with some awesome carrot and chocolate cake! Ambiance is nice here but quite loud! Not a great spot for a first date. They do not validate parking. read more

Had a great experience at the Palm! Went for Mother's Day with my mom. All the food was good from the soups which were creamy and not too fishy for being lobster bisque and clam chowder, to the steak which was cooked to perfection (medium rare), to the tiramisu which was rich, creamy and delicious! The service was ourstanding. Even though it was crazy packed that evening, our server John was extremely attentive, nice, and took great care of us.
