    I am not someone who typically writes reviews, but my most recent experience at The Palm certainly deserves recognition. I went for a birthday lunch with family, and it turned out to be one of the most impressive dining experiences I've had in a very long time. From the moment we arrived, everything felt top-tier. The atmosphere was clean, warm, and welcoming, the service was incredible, and the food was honestly some of the best I've had at a restaurant in years. Everything we ordered was delicious -- full of flavor and perfectly prepared. Every detail felt intentional, and the quality of the ingredients was phenomenal. Several people in our group customized their orders, and the kitchen nailed every single accommodation. It's rare to go somewhere nowadays where everyone at the table loves their meal, but that's exactly what happened. Alex, the gentleman who took care of us, provided exceptional service. He was attentive, patient, friendly, and professional, and made us feel like we were his only guests in the entire restaurant. He provided great recommendations and was extremely knowledgeable about the menu (trust me, we grilled him!). That extra level of care made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Another thing that really stood out was the involvement of the general manager, Jared. He was walking the floor, checking on guests, helping the staff, and making sure everything ran smoothly. You don't typically see that level of hands-on management very often. It made fine dining feel more like fantastic dining. All of the employees seemed genuinely happy to be there, and when a restaurant has that kind of positive energy, it really speaks volumes. Between the amazing food, the outstanding service, and the overall atmosphere, this was truly a five-star experience. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend The Palm to anyone looking for a memorable restaurant experience that delivers both incredible food and exceptional hospitality.

    2.5 stars. Honestly, was excited to try out The Palm- but it definitely fell short of my expectations. Parking is complimentary valet or self parking at garage in the back for $$ (see picture). 1) food was bland and nothing special for the price point (parent compared it to Olive Garden -yikes). Out of the three entrees we got (Linguini with white clam sauce, shrimp sauté, and Sicilian Salmon), the shrimp sauté was the better one. Complimentary bread not bad. 2) wow- very loud, didn't expect that- nothing on the restaurant but we were yelling across the table to hear, and took a bit of adjusting to focus 3) server was kind- felt we had to flag her down several times for drink refills 4) soda was flat -for $5.25 soda, should have carbonation All in all, wasn't super impressed- don't think I'd make it a point to return

    I went to The Palm in Tysons Corner about a month ago for a work dinner, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Even without ordering appetizers, the meal more than delivered. For my main, I ordered the 22-ounce bone-in ribeye, and it was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and exactly what you hope for from a classic steakhouse. Every bite was rich and satisfying. On the side, I ordered the smoked bacon mac and cheese and the asparagus, and both were absolute standouts. The mac and cheese was indulgent, creamy, and full of flavor, and the asparagus was cooked just right. Everything across the board was truly a 10 out of 10. The service really elevated the evening. Our server was attentive without hovering, very personable, and had excellent interpersonal skills. They made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of, which is especially important during a work dinner. The food was so good that I am actually coming back this weekend with my parents, which says a lot. I would highly recommend The Palm to anyone looking for a high-quality steakhouse experience in the Tysons area. It is a great spot for business dinners, celebrations, or just an all-around excellent meal.

    I had the osso buco. It was delicious! The meat was super tender and the sauce was amazing. The mashed potatoes paired well - I exchanged pasta for this. I also had the blood orange margarita, which was a bit strong for my liking. Overall, delicious meal and good time!

    Delicious as always! My boyfriend works at Carahsoft and they always treat us great here. Fantastic service and delicious food.

    I went to the Palm with my mom and sister. We ordered the lobster special, which featured an appetizer, 4 lbs of lobster, and dessert for 2. Overall this was a lot of food and a fun experience. They brought out bibs for the lobster and the dish itself was huge. The only thing is the service was really slow so we were at the restaurant for over 2 hours.

    I was taken to the Palm for my birthday. It was our first time and we loved it! They handed me a birthday card when I walked in and we were seated shortly after. The atmosphere was classic and elegant, like "old money " (if that makes sense lol). The service was great. You can tell our waitress was busy but she made sure to stop in to check on us a few times. We didn't feel neglected or overwhelmed by her presence. She popped up the perfect amount of times. We didn't have to look for her and we didn't have to push her away lol. The food was great! Nothing we had was bad. I ordered the Bone-in ribeye with mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms. He had the lamb with tri-risotto and green beans with a side of creamed spinach. We had calamari and lobster bisque as starters. They also gave us a complimentary bread basket. It was really good! The pretzel was my fave The steak and lamb were cooked to perfection! The mashed potatoes were whipped and creamy and the mushrooms paired well with my steak. The risotto (which I don't usually like) was very tasty! The lobster bisque was velvety and flavorful, as well as the creamed spinach (it was some of the best I've ever had). My least favorite was the calamari HOWEVER, don't get me wrong, it was also good. I had the Paloma with reposado and he had the peachy keen, both drinks were good. We took desserts home, the chocolate cake and the carrot cake. Both was good, the chocolate was the better of the two. There was man there who seemed to be in charge of the floor who took our bill to comp my carrot cake for my birthday without me even asking. This place ran like a well oiled machine and they displayed great team work! I would definitely recommend 10/10.

After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

The butter for the bread basket was half liquid when we received it. The chicken sandwich was bland. The lager wasn't anything special. Crab cakes were as good as they should have been... for the market price of $36. But how do you totally forget about one of our orders? The staff tried to fix this by offering a free round of drinks or a dessert, but we already had enough to drink and the limited dessert menu only has three items. Hats off to the staff for offering, but with so many servers/staff constantly buzzing around and checking every table, why did this even happen? Nobody is perfect. Well, Mike's American, Silverado, and (the AMAZING) Carlyle are close. Compared to those restaurants in the same portfolio, Coastal Flats in the Tysons Mall is unbecoming of a Great American Restaurants establishment. We were disappointed and won't return. We suggest to everyone who has invested the time to read my review: go to any other of the Great American Restaurants, but SKIP Coastal Flats at the Tysons Mall as they might SKIP putting in one of your orders.

My husband had a non-alcoholic Stella Artois. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated immediately. Having looked at the menu before arriving, we each knew what we wanted. I chose to try the "Blackened Pan Seared Yellow Fin Tuna" which (supposedly) consists of: "Topped with jumbo lump crab meat, sundried tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, creamy lemon sauce served with rice." My husband chose the "Shrimp platter," which (supposedly) consists of: "crispy beer battered shrimp, coleslaw and chipotle sauce served with hand cut French fries." It was more like a miso-flavored sauce. Hard to say if the menu got changed, but no new menus were printed up to fix it. Or was it that the young man who cooked the food wasn't familiar with the entrees? Still, despite the discrepancies, I did like this dish, although it would have been even better if they had prepared it correctly. My husband noticed that there was no Chipotle sauce on his dish. Instead, there were two small containers: one with ketchup and another with tartar sauce. He, too, thought that his shrimp was well prepared, although the breading didn't cling to the shrimp. This experience left us with mixed feelings. On the one hand, we appreciated the friendly, attentive service. Yet, on the other hand, we wonder whether it's worth going again, given the possibility of not getting all the ingredients for one's entree. We liked the ambiance, which evoked images of the beach. They have some nice paintings on one wall depicting the seashore, a lighthouse, and beach houses.

Something is very off with the (lack of) protein quality at the Falls Church location. The head-on shrimp were smallish - some were 21-25 count, some were 26-30 count, and all had an off-putting *green* poop line. The clams were inedible and tiny. Half of the clams were missing from their shells. They shouldn't be sold. When I showed the poor quality of the clams to the server, they offered a 20% discount - clearly they don't get it. What keeps me loyal to the brand is their signature Hot N Juicy Special sauce (mod: extra garlic). No other Viet Cajun (even in Houston or wherever) comes close to the depth and complexity of the Hot N Juicy Special sauce. For now, the winning move is to order a some sausage in a cup with Hot N Juicy Special medium sauce w/extra garlic TO GO, and sautée it with a bag of defrosted Costco head-on 16-20 count shrimp, or a few dozen live Cherrystone clams from HMart. There is so much potential here. The sauce is boss. Solve your protein problem!

We ordered: - the honeydew mocktail (this was so good, I haven't had a mocktail that I enjoyed so much in a long time now) - the assortment of dips (delicious and paired so well with the bread) - a side of toum (this is an essential for me at any restaurant) - the ottoman rice (my family's favorite) - brussel sprouts - cauliflower (our server's favorite) - Adana kepab - the small lamb shoulder dish (really good) - branzino (sooo good and cooked perfectly) - pistachio soufflé (like a chocolate lava cake but with pistachio inside--soooo fab) We absolutely loved everything that we ordered and the bread that they served the food with. The service was so attentive. The vibes were really nice and not overly fancy. My family and I thought it was one of the best Turkish/middle eastern meals we've had in a while (and we thought this was much better than Zaytinya). Overall I cannot wait to return.

I got the Thyme to Bloom and it was good! We got the Mucver, Hummus, and Grilled Chicken. The Mucver texture wasn't my favorite but the sauce it came out with was yummy. Hummus and grilled chicken were good- not the best I've had but decent. The vibe was nice and I liked the decor. I'd come back to try their happy hour!

Our dinner last night was disappointing, and it was the worst of the many we've had here. The service was slow. The food was tasteless. We had to delay our departure while they corrected our check. The details are below. Maybe the first clue was when a waiter dropped a butter-coated knife on my back right after I sat down. That would have been a good time to cut our losses, but we persevered. , and it was the worst of We sat for a while before anyone came by to take our drink and appetizer orders. 15 minutes after that, our drinks and four slices of bread arrived. My Trio Manhattan tasted pretty good. (Hold that thought.) 15 minutes after that, the manager stopped by and told us that they had sold the last of the appetizers we ordered and asked us to order replacements, on him. (Hold that thought.) The replacement appetizers arrived. Our beef carpaccio had almost no flavor, except for the drizzle of sauce on top. We ordered our main courses, sides, and another round of drinks. The food showed up, but not the drinks. After asking several waiters, several times, my second Manhattan was delivered. It was warm (probably from sitting on the bar, waiting to be picked up for half an hour) and nowhere near as tasty as the first one. (You can let go of the first thought.) Back to the food... My Boneless Ribeye was boneless and also flavorless, except for the salt they had sprinkled on. The whipped potatoes were OK. The Jumbo Asparagus was asparagus and anything but jumbo. When the check finally arrived, we had to send it back (probably should have done that with much of what had been brought to our table during the meal) because they wanted to charge us for the appetizers that the manager said were "on him." (OK, you can let go of the second thought now.) To me, it's never worth paying for bad food. Being expected to pay a premium for it makes it an even worse value. This place, last night, was a complete waste of money.
