To my excitement I saw they had an Old Fashion on the menu for non-alcoholic, though it was $12. I decided to get it. First, the bartender looked at me like I was crazy for ordering it. Now to cut to the chase. She gave it to me in the plastic tumbler sized cup. Filled it with big ice cubes, and then poured my Old Fashion over the ice, it barely filled a 1/3 of the small tumbler. They have a lot of beer options, cocktails, and even mocktails and NA drinks. I got an NA cider that had a blueberry lime flavor and it was super delish. The DJ... the GFX on screen... the music. Everything was a 10/10. The DJ looked like he was having the time of his life and his energy was so infectious. One of the best DJs I've seen, I even said I hope I can get a DJ like this for my wedding one day because he was so so so fun. The crowd was having such a good time and so many people were dressed with the 2000s theme. The GFX on screen added to the night with hilarious 2000s throwbacks like Paint and WordArt. Plenty of space inside, there's an upstairs with tables and the bar and downstairs has more of a dance floor. Definitely recommend planning a night out here, you'll have so much fun!

The same cannot be said for Pearl Divers next-door (where the bathrooms are). Those bartenders put an unauthorized tip (while we were still there and before we had closed out the) on my girlfriend's credit card that was more than the amount of entire bill. This is currently under dispute with the credit card company, but it does not speak well for their honesty, integrity, or customer service at Pearl Divers.

We were surprised with a "Fair Wage and Inflation Fee (this is not a tip) (20%)" line in our receipts, which let's be real, most of that or at least part of it is very likely going to the owner(s) not the staff. On top of that, I know quite a few musicians in Denver and almost every one that has worked with Your Mom's House has told me that they had issues with getting paid. Parking is definitely a challenge, so I'd recommend taking a rideshare or the rail instead. If you want to avoid the crowds after the show, there are two bars right next to the venue where you can grab a drink, hang out, and let things thin out a bit before heading home.

I have been to the Ogden Theatre at least 10 times to watch a variety of different kinds of shows,…read moremostly metal, but also electronic and rock. The venue is very old, I think it's over a hundred years old or something like that, and it shows but I think it adds character. The sound quality there is good for how old it is at least for metal shows. The venue is consistently oversold to the point where the last few shows I went to, I was watching from the entrance area. The smoking area is also way too small. It's always shoulder to shoulder there. The parking there is always a pain. There is street parking but you have to get there at least an hour early to find anything around the venue. Otherwise, you'll be paying an arm and a leg for paid lot parking. This isn't the fault of the venue itself though. I am sure I will be back at the Ogden Theatre and hopefully they make some changes to enhance the show experience.
