Ordered bacon (just like the receipt says, and they gave me ham) the server wouldn't remove the $2.08 charge I got charged for the orange juice I ordered and never received. So she changed the receipt for me. Then I checked the second receipt and she charged us two coffees and we only had one. So had about $9 in overcharges removed off of our check. I was super kind about it and still tipped 18% vs 20% since she wouldn't remove the two dollar charge which made absolutely no sense customer service wise. First time and the last time visit here. Food was great. Just first impressions. Over a $2 charge, they lost a customer. And I guess that's what I get for being too nice. read more

My friend and I were going to have a late breakfast after playing pickleball at my place (Eagle Crest). My friend was generous to offer to buy me breakfast. My friend said he loved the bacon from the Original Pancake House at the Bend location and he was going to have some with his breakfast. He had scrambled eggs with bacon and pancakes. No complaints. I tried the ham and cheese omelette with pancakes. My omelette was overcooked . This omelette was odd shaped. Very well done in the middle with a large gooey ball of cheese also in the middle. There was too much of it along with a lots of diced ham. The pancakes were very dry even though I put a lot of butter on them . I don't use there syrup because I don't care for fake syrup. I'm into real maple syrup. I've had the Dutch Baby at the Bend location which was pretty good. I would go with that next time out here. read more

We took a friend to the airport late morning during a weekday. There was no wait. I've never been to one of these. I'm from the east where they have a resty called Bob Evans and I used to go there for their phenomenal biscuits and gravy. Been here in the Bend area for almost 3 months and have been on the search for that. Probably tried at least 7 Bfast places and still all have fallen short. I was very hopeful when I saw these on the menu and when they brought them out even more so. Alas, it was not meant to be, the gravy was thick but had slices of (sausage?) and some ground sausage as well. It had an off taste too it, like it was sweet. No matter how much salt/pepper I used I couldn't get it to my tasting. I also ordered 2 scrambled hard and "potatoes". Again, they seemed tasteless to me. My husband did not like the bed of bread aka the "biscuits" upon which the gravy was served. Bob Evans would serve the gravy in a bowl and you could dole it out when you wanted. I like that model because I eat very little bread but I also spread the gravy on hash browns and eggs, it tastes really good! Anyway the search continues. The hostess and the servers were all super nice ladies- I think maybe if I would have ordered their namesake maybe the experience would be better. read more

When you enter they have a hand sanitizer station and sign up sheet. Everyone their was very friendly and pleasant, we got seated and was greeted soon after with our waitress. The tables were properly distance with one way in and exit through another door. They also had outdoor seating available. The people here provide excellent service. The pancakes are the best. So far, the buckwheat pancakes and the 49er flapjacks are my favorites; but, there are still more on the menu waiting for me to try. Swedish pancake is like half pancake half crepe. They are thin and tasty. I put lingonberry preserve in this pancake and roll them up. The French toast here is different from other places but it tastes a lot better. Thinly sliced bread dips in the batter and cooks to the perfection is so good and we cannot stop eating them. The jam was was good on the toast. The waitresses there are so sweet. They put their hand on your shoulder and ask what you want to eat. They are very sweet and friendly. The omelette was pretty good. The eggs in the omelette were nice and fluffy and now over cooked. The waitress gave me a big eater to drink. She could tell I was a little parched. Food: Fine, for sure there are fancier places to eat in Central Oregon but this one is always consistent and a hangout for locals who enjoy being regulars and in a rut. This was honestly one of the best dining experiences of my life. I was in Madras for a wedding, and the day after, we had a group of 14 people heading to Redmond for the day. We gave OPH a call, knowing we had a large party that would be arriving with only an hour until closing. They didn't seem annoyed by this at all, and had our table prepped and ready to go by the time we arrived. Sheri was an absolute delight, she was so kind and attentive, and she really made the experience so wonderful. We were 14 slightly hungover wedding guests who needed good food and a lot of it, and OPH provided. Everyone there was so kind, they were seeing off one of their servers on his last day and even let us be a part of the celebration. We talked about Sheri and OPH multiple times throughout the rest of our trip, the service and hospitality stuck with us that much! While we wanted to make sure we didn't stay past closing, at no point did we feel rushed, or like we were putting out the staff in any way. Service was fantastic, food was delicious, and overall experience was wonderful. If you're in Redmond, I highly recommend. Ask for Sheri, she's the best of the best! read more
