I decided to stop here for a quick brunch before driving down to the Petersen Rock Garden, largely because of the good reviews. I arrived around 11am on a Thursday to find the place absolutely packed with people! As a lone diner, they were able to fit me right in at the counter seating. I'm not a big eater for breakfast, so I was very relieved when they said they could do a half order of biscuits and gravy. Thank goodness! When they brought out the "half order", the singular biscuit was HUGE. And the bowl of gravy was generous. The biscuit was like a giant version of my Southern born grandmother's biscuits, and the gravy was very traditional and tasty. I looked around at my fellow diners' plates, and the portions all seemed incredible, especially for the prices I saw on the menu. The guy waiting the counter was super friendly and fun to chat with, as was another local to my right. This is 100% that local favorite breakfast place, as evidenced by the packed restaurant at 11am on a Thursday. It's down home and real. Nothing fancy, but the food is honest. read more

This is a wonderfully friendly restaurant. Jacob was our server and he brought everything that was needed especially spicy hot sauces. The corned beef hash has a great. We were visiting Oregon and decided to grab breakfast an d the write ups about this place was very good, so we decided to try it out. From the outside it looked like a family home and when you get in the place was pretty packed with customers dining and the staff was very friendly and got us seated and asked if we wanted to get something to drink, while we wait for our waiter to finish up at the other tables taking orders. While we were seated they brought coffee and ice water and a piece of coffee cake for everyone there. I ordered the omelette with roasted potatoes and coffee, it was very good an a good size portion. My wife ordered the waffles half order and it came out nice and crispy on the surface and just fight on the inside. Our daughter had the French toast and she also enjoyed her meal. As the portion was of good size we couldn't finish the whole meal. They do have a large menu, need to go back and try some of their other menu items. They have indoor and outdoor seating. read more

This place far exceeded our expectations! Ambiance, food, and service! We ordered chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, fried chicken and waffles, crepes, and kids pancakes. I had not read the reviews before coming here so it was such a splendid surprise to receive the complimentary coffee cakes. Coffee is great too. Not your typical diner flavored coffee. This is truly a hole-in-the-wall gem! Love the bar area. We were seated right away for a family of five. We missed the rush so that was awesome timing! Service was all around pleasant as well. Such a delightful place. Will no doubt be returning and rest assured we will become regulars here. I tasted everyone's food and my goodness, they were all scrumptious. My fried chicken was perfectly cooked, seasoned well, and my waffle was unique in that we've only had that type of texture and lightness one other time before in the pleasant SoCal city of Pasadena. We enjoyed the food and service at this little diner today . . . But I did not appreciate finding on my payment ticket after adding a tip that there was an additional 3% " service charge ". This was not seen until final ticket after tip was printed. No notice given, just found it there after all said and done. They ought to let folks know ahead of time with some sort of notice. We stopped in for breakfast and enjoyed a great meal with a very local clientele, which to us is usually a very good sign. We were quickly seated and coffee and tea was prompt, followed by what our server referred to as "breakfast chips and salsa" but was actually a delightfully light piece of coffee cake. I had the country fried steak with potatoes and scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy; generous portions and delicious. My wife had the florence italy omelette with hollandaise and thought it superb. We were crazy enough to order pancakes as well, and these and the biscuits were packed up for our condo later or probably tomorrow. The place was decked out with Halloween decorations and it was a fun dining experience. It's a good thing we don't live here or we'd be regulars and my cholesterol off the charts. While visiting Redmond, we decided to try this place for breakfast and that was a great decision! My husband had the country scramble which he said was delicious and he opted for the side of fruit to go with it. The fruit was fresh and good. The child ordered strawberry crepes and absolutely loved them. I ordered the Cajun catfish and eggs with potatoes. The catfish was cooked great but I felt could have used a little more seasoning. The eggs were cooked perfectly (over medium). Both mine and my husband's came with biscuits and gravy on the side. We took those with us as there was no way we could eat all that as well. Our waitress was pretty awesome and even joked a little with us. This place reminds us of one of our favorites from our home area. We love all the decorations added around the place, it gives it a nice homey feel. They even ask if you want a complimentary piece of coffee cake to start with. It was pretty good too. read more

Where do I start with Mo's?? The atmosphere is very homey and warm. The staff is so nice and definitely makes you feel welcomed. Food - steak and eggs, cinnamon roll French toast and blueberry pancake with ricotta cheese. ALL of the items I ordered were AMAZING. The steak could have been cooked a little less but it was still seasoned well and flavorful. The blueberry pancakes were fluffy and made to perfection and the ricotta was a nice touch. But the show stopper was the cinnamon roll French toast. It was so sweet and the perfect comfort food. It's as if Cinnabon made a French toast. Definitely will be craving this one for a while. They have plenty of items of the menu I wanted to try from breakfast to lunch/sandwiches. Can't wait for my next visit read more

What an excellent place to satiate your breakfast appetite! Cute farm house decor add to its appeal! Mo's Egg House offers more than breakfast fare, in fact, their menu is vast! Very much a diner style menu! Lots to choose from AND a free piece of the most delicious and warm coffee cake as an "appetizer"! The 2 egg sausage omelette was huge and way more than what I could finish. It came with hash browns (nice and crispy just like I asked for), and a side of biscuits and gravy. That's the side I chose, there are other options as well. The biscuit was huge and tender. Very good. And the gravy was sublime. Not overly salty and it had nice chunks of sausage in it as well. Everyone enjoyed their orders! We left with another days worth of food! The waiter was fun, too. Two big thumbs up for Mo's. If I lived close, I would be a regular. I opened the menu and thought, "wow, these are premium prices". Then I saw the "breakfast special": several choices of entree, PLUS COFFEE, for $13. Then, as if it couldn't get better, they brought a surprise free coffee cake. Apparently it comes with every order. This will be the 8th or 9th attempt at finding delish biscuits and gravy. The restaurant is tiny so go early or you will be waiting. Our wait was about 15 mins. The husband ordered pancakes that came with eggs and bacon. I ordered the early bird special big biscuit that came with egg and meat of choice and also complimentary coffee cake and coffee. First bite was the gravy was good and thick and tasted decent. The biscuit is a large slab of bread; similar to what we've had at several other b'fast spots here in Bend. The scrambled eggs were hard as I asked, and the link sausages were really good. My husband is a coffee nut and he said the coffee was good. Me? I'm good with instant so what do I know? He said everything was good; for me I ate very little of my meal, and turned my attention to about 1/4 of the DHs pancakes, they were yummy!!! Anyway, I might have to abandon my search for the perfect biscuits and gravy and just concentrate on the basics. That had been my single yardstick for all of my breakfast reviews since moving to OR from VA. I did want to note that everyone was super nice, and the cost was less than I've paid for b'fast at any other place I've reviewed here in the last 3 months. I live in South Carolina and was looking a good breakfast place for my in-laws who live outside Redmond. I found Mo's on Yelp. I was able to purchase a gift certificate for Mother's Day in 2024 that they mailed to her. My in-laws visited for the first time and loved this place. So I purchased another gift card this year for her birthday. Mistakenly, it didn't get mailed out. A week later I called to see what happend and spoke to the owner, Mel, and she was so apologetic. No worries, things happen. But what suprised me, that same day they hand-delivered the gift card to my mother in-law. What customer service!!! I love supporting local businesses. The food and the people are good. Can't wait to visit myself sometime in the future when we visit the Redmond area. read more

Food was ok nothing special the service is hit or miss they are very long lines out the door very busy for breakfast/brunch. Not worth the wait unless you know a worker that works there or you're a special regular. I also have lived here over 27 years I'm not new to the area. We enjoyed breakfast at this popular spot on a Saturday morning. The wait wasn't awful (they have the buzzing coaster to alert you when your table is ready so you can wait in your car)...maybe 10 mins, and they are pros at turning tables over. Great staff (friendly, attentive, and accommodating) and the food was fantastic. We ordered a few French toast plates (the Elvis and the stuffed with ricotta blueberries) and a monte cristo. It was all delicious! Fresh squeezed OJ, good coffee, great ambience, and plenty of parking! Will go again when we visit Central Oregon! read more
