My favorite breakfast place in Ogunquit! The corn beef hash is fresh, the food is so good. I watched Chef bobby make everything and i must admit it's entertaining. So good. We don't understand all the 5 star reviews. We drove 40 minutes to have breakfast here after reading them and about the new owners and it was a disappointment. First of all the prices were pretty shocking. $16.95 for an omelette is $3-4 higher than we see (even along the coast) in NH. And they include homefries. Homefries here are $5.45 extra! But we figured they would be amazing. Sorry to say no. Omelettes should not be brown. They should be light yellow and soft. My omelette was overcooked and dry. The cheddar was stringy--not just melted. My husband was suppose to have chili in his but could barely find a bit of tomato sauce, and he had to ask for the sour cream. To top it all off, we saw the owners sitting up front. When we left 10 minutes before closing, the place had quieted down and one of the owners walked out in front of us to take down the "open" flag. We both were shocked that neither of them greeted us or asked how our meal was. Nothing. They totally ignored us. I worked in retail and in restaurants (including breakfast) and that is unheard of. I hope you start engaging with your customers. It is a good habit to have. We ate upstairs because many years ago when I lived and waited tables in the area I used to eat downstairs. This is an amazing breakfast place. Delicious food, excellent service and large portions. Would definitely return if we are in the area again. I had the bacon and Swiss cheese omelette dry fluffy and packed. My husband had the shrimp and lobster omelette which was also packed. AMAZING!!! I got the lobster omelette with American cheese and I added spinach for $0.75 (very worth it). It was an extremely generous portion of lobster!! I was very pleasantly surprised. Amazing value for the price. The chef there is unbelievable! He's a super human. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar area and were in complete awe by the cook! It was truly breakfast with a show. I highly highly recommend checking this place out! This place was awesome--tiny dining area with excellent food. You could tell from the ingredients and presentation and warm, happy service that a lot of heart and soul goes into this restaurant. We waited an hour for our food, which would have been expected except everyone around (who arrived after) us was served before we were. Only a group of 4 and we didn't order anything crazy. It seems like orders that come through the web are given precedence over orders made in the restaurant. I'll update the review after we get our food (if we ever do) Update: After waiting 90 minutes, the food (waffles, omelettes, home fries, and bacon) was excellent. I would love to give this place more stars but I had a couple disappointments. We had a 25 minute wait, and then when we got in, our timing was lousy and then serving a party of 15 or so people majorly delayed us getting both beverage and food. They were apologetic but it was still a bit frustrating. I thought the lobster omelette wasn't cheesy enough, but it did have a good amount of lobster in it. I was disappointed with the stuffed French toast because it was kind of dry. The blueberry muffin and vegetarian omelette my friends got were the winners of breakfast. I tasted the toasted blueberry muffin and it was sooooo good! So you can give it a try if you like omelettes but lack your patience. read more

the worst breakfast that IVE ever seen first off, we got to the restaurant at 11:15, couldn't order until 11:30, even though it was take out, and then didn't get our food until almost 12:30. there was no one else here. what the heck third, a side of bacon was $6 for four tiny slices. four pancakes is $29. a chocolate milk was $5. it costs $2 for onions, tomato's, or any other add-on. they also charged me and extra TWO dollars for cheese that i did not buy. they even forgot to put bacon in one of my omelettes. dude. fifth, this place was not worth the wait, money, or stomach aches that we all obtained after eating here. i would highly suggest not coming to this breakfast place and instead, choose something better. our morals are just different. i will be taking my business elsewhere, and back to harbor candy store. read more

If in Ogunquit the Omelette Factory is a must stop. The Amazing Bobby is the chef and makes 100% of the food. Omelettes are the specialty and I have never seen a menu with so many options for an omelette before.. Amazing Bobby makes them filled and fluffy. Just watching him make the food was worth the stop, but the food was really excellent. But you have to get their early as they are open from 7am to 1pm. read more

We bought our summer home here in 19997 and I still remember where we sat and what we had. Simply the best, fluffiest Omelettes you'll ever have. It's been here since 1983 and the atmosphere is bohemian and laid back. Coffee is great, the homemade strawberry jam is insane, and the Belgium Waffles...couldnt beat them even if you were in, you know, Belgium. My wife and I were here for Labor Day Weekend from Massachusetts and decided to stop here for breakfast on our way home. I ordered the western omelette. I'm not even exaggerating when I say it looked like a work of art. Like when you see a photo in the menu but it looks completely different when it's in front of you... this looked better than any photo in any menu. It was big and fluffy and took up half the plate, leaving room on the side for a slice of toast and a slice of an English muffin. It tasted amazing! I had to stop myself from licking the plate clean. Cute little breakfast spot. There are about 50 different omelettes to choose from plus croissants, pancakes and French toast. Hubs opted for the standard bacon eggs and home fries. Chef Bobby prepared them perfectly over medium with crispy bacon and delicious home fries. The French toast is rather large but it looked so good i had to order a piece to try.
