Discrimination by staff and bartenders. I do not recommend going there if you are a minority.

Love this place and love the staff. Stopped in before a twins game and to watch jeopardy-every Friday it's fun to sit with all the smarties here! I ordered a hand mixed margarita and the loaded tots. Both were delish and super fresh. The marg had the perfect amount of tequila and the tots were super yummy. Only disappointment is they removed nachos from their menu! Booo read more

I came here with a group of friends this past Friday night. It was roughly just for a quick stop, but service was super quick. We were able to sit at the bar. Ultimately we were able to re-gather ourselves and get ourselves ready to hit up the next local spot. Definitely would recommend it to others if you need a break away from the chaos of the area. read more

Total little hole in the wall but it was absolutely perfect for what it was. Was wandering around downtown Minneapolis on Sunday before Labor Day just trying to find a bar to sit down and be able to talk and have a few drinks at without a cover or a ton of crazy college students. Stumbled upon this gem and it was perfect! Got 2 shots of Teremana and 2 mixed drinks for $40, I think that's a great price.. Was able to sit in a nice little booth, decent music playing, decent crowd, good bartenders. Good ambiance for a little dive bar, what else can you ask for?! Something that is good to keep in mind for the future! :) read more

A north loop favorite. Fun dive bar atmosphere with an outdoor patio. Decently priced drinks, friendly staff, and decent menu of typical bar food. read more

I've never had a local before. Love having the office in the neighborhood and the burger is soooo good.

Great place for a drink and to watch a game. Especially great for Michigan State University fans, as this turns into a MSU bar on Saturdays crying the fall so we can laugh, cheer and cry about our Spartans, lol. They even have green MSU shots for the rare times when we score a touchdown. Cori is a great bartender! read more

My friends and I witnessed a drug deal and drug use in the bathrooms and out on the patio. what was more shocking was that the bartenders didn't seem to care. The one female bartender tall blonde she seemed drunk and also partaking in the drug use. This bar is trash and I am glad we got asked to leave because moments later a fight and argument broke out between the drug dealer and another customer. I would suggest going to any of the other great bars in the north loop. read more

Love it-great tap selection, bartenders super quick, food was great! Can't ask for better service or food. Loved it and will definitely be back. Thank you! read more

Sketchy customers. Not women friendly. Rude service and management. Dozens of better places to go in the neighborhood.

While visiting Minneapolis from Houston, my wife and I wanted to enjoy a spot to watch the World Series (Go Astros!) The first spot was too cramped and the TVs were small. So, we did some quick research and found this absolute gem of a bar and grill. They had a pretty good craft brew selection. The bar area was the most comfortable bar I've ever sat at. The bartender was fantastic. What we were not expecting was how great the food was. I ordered the dry rub wings. The flavor and texture was unbelievable. The hand cut fries were also amazing. They managed to keep hand cut fries crispy, which is no easy task. read more

So the was our last stop on saturday night. The place was kinda dead no ladies in the place it had a bunch of guys when we walked in. As I walked in the place felt like a strip club or a part of de ja vu. It had alk types of flashing lights on the bar. I was waiting for someone to hop up and dance on the bar. The service from the bartenders was exceptional they were Johnny on the spot and kept my drink full. After 2 drinks 2 ladies came in but the place had like 90% guys. There seem to be some regulars at the bar. Come on people take some pride in yourself and at least put something decent on when u go out on a Saturday night. Over all the place seemed to have a high energy feel but I think some of the clientele scare away others read more

Amazing place for games. Amazing service. Not too big, not too small. The brew selection is terrific and the burgers are on point! read more

I've been here a couple of times and had similar experiences both times. The service is a little slow and there can be some strange characters inside. The bar itself is pretty big but they keep the lights so low that it feels dark and smaller than it probably is. They have a decent amount of tap beers and a full bar. Happy hour drink specials are from 9-11 every night which is a great deal on the weekends. The food was better than I expected. We got the Bbq chicken nachos and chicken tenders. Both portions are huge, especially the tenders. They come with 6 giant tenders in the appetizer order. The nachos were piled high with salsa, corn, black beans and chicken. It was really nice that they serve the sour cream and jalapeños on the side because not everyone likes those. If you come during an Ohio state sporting event it will be packed. Apparently it's an Ohio state bar which is fun! read more

Y'all, I'm at The Office nearly every single week. Come here on Wednesday nights for trivia! If it wasn't for the fact that a friend hosts the Wednesday night trivia, I'm not sure that I ever would have been at a place that advertises "it's okay to stay late at The Office!" because it reminds me a little too much of my actual job at an office and that makes me a little sad. Needless to say, the trivia is fun, burgers hit the spot, and the food isn't bad. I'm not quite sure what this atmosphere is like on the weekends (I can only imagine herds of bros who miss being at the actual office), but it's bearable on weeknights. I have to give a shoutout to Carley, our favorite server there. I'm fairly sure we became "regulars" about the second time we were there, and she usually knows what we'll order. She's super nice, checks in just enough and not TOO much, and always brings us our checks before the end of the night so we can get out on time. She's wonderful. Food-wise - skip the sliders & turkey sandwich, go for the burgers (any of them, really), and their fries are AWESOME. read more

Black Friday lunch is perfect if you want some alone time, or some focus time from the bartender. Place was empty, had the games on, and was great. Ordered the White Chicken Chili and a burger. The chili was great - lots of good stuff and came with a pretzel - skip the tortilla chips (they looked good) but the pretzel was great with the chili. Also had a mushroom / truffle / swiss burger. As expected and good. Messy with goodness and cooked perfect. Fries were solid. I'll definitely be back, except when OSU is playing. They are a Buckeye bar and good food only goes so far. read more

I can only review atmosphere and service. The Friday evening when I stopped in after 7 and before the night shift was weird. The bartendress was a plastic barbie doll, but a very pleasant one. The bar too was trying too hard to be something it wasn't , and fell squarely into an identity crisis between Hooters and a dance club. All of this would be really entertaining, especially if I had someone with me to people watch. When I saw my beer was $7 plus tax, I decided I was way too simple (and poor) to stick around. Maybe they have a good happy hour? read more

Food is good. Service is great! Patio is the best in the neighborhood! Love The Office!

This place used to be a favorite stop when going out but lately it has become so sketchy, the male clientele that i assume are regulars are very rude to my girl friends and myself when we come in. the female bartenders hardly paid attention to us and then the one male bartender was hardly behind the bar. i wish i could comment on the food but didn't get a chance to order any due to the one female bartender telling my friends and i that we should go somewhere else if displeased by harassment from male customers. like i said down hill, never had issues before now it seems to be filled with drug dealers and thugs who think it is ok to call women they don't know names from across the bar. the fact that the staff brushed it off and told us we were the problem is a big issue. Such a shame. there used to be a Brad guy working there that really made it worth the stop. now its awful to say the least. read more

This place is fantastic! I just moved into the neighborhood and I've been coming here for lunch a bunch. Service is always quick and speedy and the waitresses are super friendly. The place is never too crowded, so if you are in hurry during your lunch break that place will definitely work for you. The decor inside is a bit dark and kinda give the vibe of a boy's bar/ man cave but food is phenomenal . The dry rub chicken wings are amaze balls as well as the strawberry chicken salad. Their food in inventive and creative and no your average bar grub. They have a great huuuge outdoor patio, that's heated btw... read more

Recently went to the Office with some friends who live right up the street. We chose the Office due to the ability to walk and good word of mouth. Inside there is a large bar area with table seating featuring lots of televisions. There's also a large patio with table seating and additional televisions. During this visit we sat outback on the patio. The menu is primarily pub fare like finger food, burger, and sandwiches. Our server was nice and attentive and we ordered an appetizer and various sandwiches. For an appetizer we had the cheese dip which came with soft pretzels and tortilla chips. It was good pub food nothing more or less and the soft pretzels were especially good. For entrées I had a burger and my wife had falafel. The burger was okay nothing to write home about and I was disappointed that it did not have a hand formed feel. French fries that came with the burger were good and indicative of quality along with the sea salt used to season them. My wife does not eat red meat but said that the falafel was great and she did enjoy the presentation and the flavors. Overall the Office is an updated restaurant featuring a traditional pub style menu. However, with the town having so many divergent food options the Office may struggle because it's not necessarily doing anything great. read more

When I first saw this place I immediately thought of Father's Office in Los Angeles and had to check it out. The food (we had burgers) and drinks were great. The staff and the manager were very friendly. The lunch hour seems like it is not very busy so it is a great time to try it out. I plan on trying one of their salads next time, if I can show some restraint. They give you a small bite of desert at the end too. Love it. read more

Always my go to spot in the north loop. I love the patio in the summer time along with the comfy chairs along the bar.

A group of us (6) met before the Garth Brooks concert. Food was delicious. Drinks were great. But only having one waitress for the whole place was crazy. She was working like crazy, and only able to get back to our table a time or two. We ordered drinks twice. Both Times the drinks and wine rang up at different costs then listed in the menu. A 9 dollar glass of wine was ringing up at 12 dollars. So watch your bill if you do go. I do not want to leave a negative review, but some of the experience was a bit negative., our waitress was amazing and she was trying. And the computer system is to blame for the wrong price. So it is recommended, just pay attention when the bill arrives. read more

I love the decorations of the office the heated patio is very cool except the constant smoking but I can deal with it but the ash from the cigars is getting in my drinks and on my food. There was not a lot of vegetarian options. The wasted guest here are annoying. The service here is amazing and they are very nice I also came here to watch the game it's a great place for that. Not to mention the hammer guest are smoking and swearing but I know that is ok since it is a bar overall I think the place is a very nice spot. I ordered the nachos and it is probably the best nachos I have ever had. read more

My fiance and I went to The Office this past Sunday to have a couple drinks and relax. While we were sitting at the bar, a group of guys--all of whom were completely hammered--came in and sat/stood next to us. The drunkest of the guys repeatedly bumped into my fiance, to the point where we had to move to different seats. Then this guy ordered multiple rounds of shots (one of which he just dumped on the floor). Regardless of the fact that he was visibly drunk, the bartender continued to serve him. All of this happened without any recognition from The Office staff of his drunkenness and how it affected other patrons. (Others in the bar noticed all this going on.) We quickly got the tab because we wanted to leave before anything escalated and saw that one beer was $7. Way overpriced. We'll never come back, which is disappointing because we leave just a few blocks away and were hoping for a new regular spot. read more

Came here and was hungry....service was great! Had a couple of beers and the bacon cheese burger with fries after traveling for 12 hours. I'd give it a better rating but the burger was nothing special. I mean I spent over $30 for a burger and 2 beers! Also, a homeless crackhead came and sat beside me and told me it was his birthday and asked me for some cash...the folks working here did nothing about it. It's across the street from a great upscale hotel. Next time I'll just eat at the hotel. Too bad...lots of potential but something is off with this place. It was 4:00 pm and only 3 people aside from myself in the restaurant...again, eat at the hotel! read more

The service on Wednesdays is less than stellar the server is either up on her phone at the bar or nowhere to be found leaves empty drinks on your table. On Wednesday night there's hardly a full restaurant so the lack of service is unacceptable. read more

Stopped in with a friend on a Thursday night around 7pm for food and drinks and wanted to sit outside. Good thing we did because their patio is awesome. There are large TVs, plenty of low tops and high tops, part of its open roof and part is covered. Now, the food...very good. I had the falafel sliders which are served on pita like a little taco. There are tomatoes marinated in balsamic (I think) on top along with a refreshing cucumber sauce. The fries are large and more square and you get plenty of them. My friend got the chimichurri pork sliders and he said they were great. There's habanero jack on them but they weren't too spicy. The service...also very good. Our waters were always re-filled, the waitress stopped in often but not too often. I do think the beer prices are kind of high (Bell's Oberon pint was $7) but it is downtown. Overall, I'd say The Office is a good place to just hang out any time of day. Especially while the weather is still good on the patio! read more

Great food! I had a burger and it was delicious. I also ordered the Jalapeño Poppers and they were delicious as well. The place was empty, not a bad thing for me. I had the steak sandwich with fries last night. It was amazing. They used a fresh firm pretzel style bun and loaded the sandwich with delicious tender steak, peppers, cheese and onion pedals. The steak was cooked perfectly, not a single chewy, fatty or gnarly piece in the whole sandwich. The fires were fresh and hot "Texas crisper" seasoned cut between a regular straight FF and a Steak fry. They were crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. My friends had the dry rubbed wings. Although I did not try them they looked and smelled amazing. They looked fat and juicy with nice crispy outside and moist tender inside. All this at a packed bar during a Vikings game! Server was great and kept our drinks coming even with all the hyped up Vikes fans. After reading through some of the other reviews I fell that I must take exception with the lame people who gave poor reviews. It's not the bar's fault if you're an ugly fat white chick and come in alone to sulk and cry into a beer. If you are incapable of reading a menu DON'T BITCH and complain about the price of a beer. The beer list on EVERY TABLE has the price clearly printed after the description of every beer on the menu. And if you're in the north loop you should expect to pay $7 for a premium craft beer. There were plenty of beers at $5-6 to pick from. Maybe fatty should have stuck to a mich ultra or Miller Light. This place is a sports bar with very nice, for a bar, large Samsung tv's everywhere. The entire bar has a scrolling stadium style scoring ticker that circles the bar. I did not find it bright or annoying. In fact I thought it was a sweet idea. You can keep tabs on other sports as the ticker scrolls above the 55" TV you're watching. PS it's a sports bar, I expect to see more dudes than hot babes hanging out at a sports bar! Bottom line, don't bitch if your fat, ugly and lonely and give the bar a 2 star review when you never had food and can't understand the theme of the restaurant. Or mark the place down when you're trolling for chicks in a sports bar. read more

The worst service I have ever had. Don't know what the bartenders are doing or who is bartending. More consumed with talking to each other then doing their job. Sat for 30 minutes with an empty glass in front of me and no one said anything to me. Absolutely terrible service! read more
