Cuzzy's is a dive bar with vibes for days, from the money pinned all over the ceiling to the disco ball to the Tito's bottle light fixture. Absolutely loved this place! The service was extremely friendly. We grabbed a table in the back and ordered a round of drinks. If you're looking for a true Minnesota experience, stop in at Cuzzy's!

Super small dive bar. They do have a patio out back. The night we went (which was a Saturday night) half of the patio was closed off for a private party. I'm in my early 30's and I'd say the crowd was a bit younger/college age. Some of them were a bit impatient with bar situation. It did take awhile to get drinks and most groups would just send one person to order multiple drinks because there's not much space to stand at the bar or anywhere honestly. I ordered some slushy drinks for me and a few others. They had a cherry cola flavor and strawberry daiquiri flavor. They were cheap/reasonably prices and okay tasting. Not sure this is a place I'd go back to because of the younger crowd and overall vibes.

This bar has a lot of personality. It is the definition of a dive bar. I do not know if it is located by a college but it has a high population of the younger crowd. They have bar seating at the full bar, dinning room seating and a decent outdoor patio. The dining area and bar have television placed around that is usually playing sports. They are not the most high-def TVs, but you can get the picture. The place is decorate with a bunch of dollar bills all over the walls and a neat chandelier made from bottles. There is metered street parking available within a reasonable walking distance and they check those IDs pretty tight at the door. Whether you are 22 or 62, you are getting carded. This bar stays open later than the other nearby ones, so it starts to get crowded later in the evening. Seating becomes a premium then. The bar also gets very loud. The staff there was very friendly and courteous. the servers brought their A-game. They have you typical bar food like burgers, sandwiches, salads and nachos. They have an extensive selection of burgers and beers. I ended up getting a South of the Border (SOB) Burger with fries. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. The burger and fries came out hot and fresh. It was not the best burger I have had, but it was good. Your typical bar burger. This is a nice bar to pass some time. It is nice that they have some food options to go along with their drinks. This is an old school bar, so they do not have any signature cocktails. They just have a full bar. I was teetering between a 3 and 4 star rating and 3.5 would be more appropriate. However, that is not possible so, it is closer to a 4 than a 3 so there it is.

Great bar food if looking for something to grab and go and you're not familiar with the area. This is something to eat to play it safe.

Late night bad meal decisions brought me here on a Wednesday. Small scale watering hole with some nice seating outside during better weather. Got a stool at the bar and was given the menu to order. Decided on the "Cuzzy's Tots" ($11) to go along with a draft beer ($6). The tots are essentially totchos - layers of jalapenos, cheese, bacon, and onions. Total bomb in the stomach but very good flavor. Unfortunately, paired this with the Indeed Pistachio Cream Ale that didn't go well together at all (that's on me). Spot itself played some sports games on the TV's behind the bar, as well as having some music going. Solid watering hole for after work or to catch a game.

Ventured over to Cuzzy's for some late night food and a drink. It was packed but we found two barstools. Service was pretty quick for how busy it was. For bar food, quite tasty and satisfying. Nothing fancy but always a good time, nice people and a good time! Perfect place to visit while having a night out in Minneapolis!

My girl Lyn was the shittttt . Super fun and cool, very mom vibe like wanted to make sure we were being safe which is super cool. Spot was fun with dollars everywhere! They provide the markers and let you sign your own and hang them yourself

Sorta divey joint with average bar food. They have their own parking lot, that's a bonus. You walk into a dark open space with the bar to the right, tables that are mix matched in sizes along the left. Dollar bills with little messages are taped and tacked everywhere. I found it a bit off putting. I'm trying to eat but these bills are in my face with the words bitch, penis, virginity, and varies other inappropriate verbiage. Don't get me wrong, I spew my fair share of profanities, I just don't want to see it when I'm eating. Felt dirty. I tried their "cuzzy dip," roast beef with au jus, comes with chips. Nothing great here, but the chips were nice and crunchy. They may have been house made. I also had a mushroom soup that was decent. The server was nice, a little slow, but she did her job. The beer was cold. I'm not rushing back, but it's an alright spot.

I won't say more because it will spoil the surprise. They really just went all out with the newspaper theme, table tops, walls, menus, etc. It was surprisingly not crowded for dinner time. The service was quick, the server was friendly and attentive, and our meals were delightful. We got the brie curds and wow, I think these were the most amazing curds I've ever had. I could have just had a pile of them as my meal, but that didn't really seem wise. They come with a blueberry 'ketchup' which was more like a jam but really made the dish! My meal was the mushroom gorgonzola penne which was cooked just right and had piles of mushrooms, and yes, more cheese. This place was a lot of fun. I highly recommend it if you get a chance.

She had a personality of a Styrofoam cup filled with distilled water. She never asked if I wanted anything else when I was done eating (like dessert). There was no conversation or engagement. I was bored. I left. I'd go back I suppose since the food was good, but at a bar, the bartender should at least have a personality?

The restaurant was understaffed - the bartender was not only running the bar but also serving the entire dining area. We sat at the bar and waited about 10 minutes before being greeted. We also overheard a nearby table voice frustration about the slow service. We're pretty patient, so it wasn't the end of the world, but it was noticeably slow. That said, once we were helped, our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered a Spicy Margarita and my husband went with an Old Fashioned. My margarita was on the weaker side; not bad, just forgettable. My husband enjoyed his Old Fashioned. For food, we tried the Bang Bang Shrimp, Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and the Crab-Stuffed Portabella. The standout was definitely the Bang Bang Shrimp; we both really liked it. The lettuce wraps and stuffed mushroom were fine, just not dishes we'd return specifically for. The overall vibe was calm and low-key, and the staff was kind despite being stretched thin. I'm glad we gave it a try, but it's probably not a place we'll be rushing back to.
