This isn't the first time something like this has happened either. A few weeks ago as I was paying for groceries the cashier in the aisle next to mine was interrogating the bagger in my aisle about his brother's sexuality. Not a conversation you have with customers around. I literally just moved back up north after living in the south for a decade. Never had this happen in a Publix. I'll gladly drive the extra ten minutes to Ridgefield going forward. The employees at Stop & Shop seem to be more professional.
