They have a very small space with only a few tables and it makes their attention to detail just that much more exceptional. As a semi-picky eater I was a little nervous going in having so many courses but boy was I wrong. There was not one thing we got here that wasn't just incredible. Our favorite thing we had was the caviar course. Who knew you could do that to a potato! I can't wait to come in again and try all of the different seasonal options and see what their incredible chef has cooked up. One of the owners, Charlotte, was so kind and made coming in such a joy. Will be recommending to everyone! On their website, it does say that there's a chance you may be sitting by an air conditioner, which we were, and it was a touch cold, but we brought a light layer and it was totally fine. So we ordered 5 small plates (shaved comte cheese, tuna crudo, fried oyster, Jonah crab salad, cape cod biscuit) and 1 large plate (Halibut). They don't have a full bar but offer wine, beer and canned cocktails. Everything was amazing, most notably the best Tuna Crudo I have ever had. So tender and fresh!! It was in an almost like Italian dressing type sauce with fresh basil. Wow, the flavors were delicious. It was so good, we ordered another one!! Dessert we did ice cream and cheese cake. You're in Wellfleet, not Paris, New York, or even Provincetown, so get over yourself. - Contrary to everything you see here, THERE IS NO BAKERY. THEY SHUT IT DOWN AGES AGO, so pas de croissants, pas de baguettes, pas de Mille-feuille, No pâtisserie for you! If you're a trust fund kid looking to squeal over the Pain Au Chocolat, you're out of luck. Their response to me? "Oh, well, sometimes Ze Google can be slow to update." In other words, they're too lazy to have a website, too lazy to take ownership of their Google listing and keep it updated, and can only be bothered to post to Instagram. My friend had the Eggplant Vindaloo, which I had considered ordering and it was a huge serving. She took it back and ate it for several days. Another friend ordered and ate appetizers and loved the Maine Mussels Dijonnaise. I guess it was just my luck of the draw. I should have gone with my first idea and ordered the Eggplant. The only food available was snacks and pastries in a display on the counter, and most of these were already gone as well. Wine was still available in 3oz. and 5oz. pours, and we found a couple that we really enjoyed. We received fantastic service at the counter, and we were checked on several times while we were seated (we were lucky enough to get the plush chairs by the window). Their full wine list is extensive and interesting. Depending on from what direction you approach, navigation might give you a very scenic route along the circular "road." Parking is spread out in that area, and one-way arrows exist, but not enough of them.

Over an hour later, our meals arrived with no apology for the delay. The food was good, nothing so special meriting a return visit. After we finished our food (delivered late!) we were inquiring about dessert and told that there was a reservation for our table in ten minutes, implying that we either had no time to order or better eat fast. Funny instructions considering we were only lingering at the table longer than our apparent allotted time due to the one hour delay in the kitchen--the comment that inspired this review. We ate the dessert which was probably the highlight of the meal next to the bread, paid the check, did not penalize the waitress with a generous tip, and walked through a throng of guests waiting to be seated who were blocking the exit door they were packed in so tight. I'd like to think it was a bad night, but hearing others' stories and reading reviews, it appears to be more the rule than the exception. Too bad...it was always a go-to destination. Will certainly rethink a return visit as there are plenty of Italian menus on the cape with better seating, prompter service, and memorable food.
