I was greeted by a very nice lady who asked if I had been in before and I said I had not and she went on to explain that everything in the store is donated and they are a non profit and the money they raise helps the homeless. Very interesting and not what I was expecting. The store is set up very much like the antique shops with various areas of furniture collections set up with accessories etc. They had some very nice furniture, glassware, kitchen items, decorating accessories, jewelry etc. There was a lot to look at in the space and the staff was very friendly and engaging, asking if there was something particular I was looking for etc. The prices were very fair and I think are negotiable. I have so many projects going on currently so I curtailed purchasing anything today until I get a few projects off my list. I will certainly be back and keep this place in mind when I am up this way or heading to and from Tahoe. We've been to their sister store in Folsom and both locations have pretty good variety and low prices. This location is definitely smaller, but still has some good finds. You just need to take the time to look. It's located in the quaint little Burke Junction shopping center across the street from Safeway and Forklift, so there's always plenty of parking. Most recently, I snagged a cool coffee table made in the Japanese style of woodworking for a steal, plus a Hong Kong VCD version of LOTR! I literally haven't seen any VCDs from Hong Kong in ages, honestly since I've been there, so this was a really cool find. It was super nostalgic for me and I'm definitely adding it to my collection. On the way out, I spied a neat little chubby Pikachu figurine and had to get that as well. My husband has been in a Pokémon collecting streak lately so this was a fun little item to add to his collection too. All in all, the staff are pretty nice and I've been able to find things here and there for such a steal. We'll continue to support this thrift store!

Brought in my wife's jewelry for an assessment and repair and spoke w/ one of the head jewelers who…read moreexamined the ring under microscope. Instead of upselling me on a product or service, she was very honest and advised that I actually discuss with the original maker/manufacturer of the ring (Brilliant Earth) since this was a ring that she had seem with similar issues many years in the past. Because it was more of a "manufacturer issue", a simple fix/rebending of the stone prongs would likely only be temporary, and that this ultimately wouldn't be a good long-term fix. She recommended that we actually get the stone reset (by the manufacturer, not her), and that she would help answer questions if needed. Very polite, professional, knowledgeable. Really appreciate her honesty and willingness to divert business elsewhere because it was the right thing to do. I went to another jeweler in the area just for my own research, and they offered to fix it with "no guarantees for how long it would last". Andrea was honest and I really appreciate that.

I came in with my newborn son and my mom, and after waiting a few minutes without being acknowledged we walked up to the front desk to ask for help. A staff member assisted us and showed a few bands. When I found one I liked, I asked if it could be made in yellow gold. She said she would check with the vendor and offered to clean my engagement ring so I could look at the bands with my clean ring. After a few minutes, she returned with my ring, and when I asked to try on another band, she told us she was now helping someone else and couldn't assist us further.This was surprising since she had been helping us the entire time up to that point.
