Jon Bates jewelry did a great job on my custom ring, but they took 6 months to complete, (their salesman has since left), and they were very expensive. I wanted two rings so when I asked for a quote on a second ring, a solitaire, their quote came back as the most expensive jeweler out of the four (4) I went to. read more

I've purchased custom pieces and have had items repaired here in the past. I always knew they were on the expensive side but recently compared prices with other local jewelers. Jon Bates quoted $1600 for something everyone else quoted around $250. For the same exact repair. Unfortunate but I won't be back! read more

I also had a similar experience with this company. I got an estimate to fix tips holding the stones in my wedding ring and thought this business was crazy to charge so much. Went to Ancient Gold in Placerville and had the same work done at a fraction of the price. And I love their work. I do not recommend this business. read more

I needed a watch battery replaced and they took care of it right away. There was lots of beautiful jewelry to look at while I waited.

I never leave reviews but this one is much deserved. I recently took in my 3 stoned platinum wedding ring to have sized up and couldn't get that ring off! They employee was kind and professional and used a spray to help me get it removed. They did an excellent job sizing it up with no issues. I will definitely be coming back to shop in their store! Thank you! read more

Having lived in the Cameron Park area for 17 years, and been a customer here for over 10 years, I cannot recommend any other jeweler. Jon has a good selection of jewelry to choose from, as well as prompt repairs at a reasonable cost for adjusting our rings. Just got my wedding band adjusted to a larger size after realizing l my ring finger was becoming numb. Fits and looks great now. Thanks Jon! read more

Absolutely best jeweler around. We forgot about two precious stone's that were stored in a family safe for over 40 years. We decided to get them set for our daughter's birthday but realized we didn't have much time. Jon Bates Jewelry went above and way beyond to insure the design and manufacture of these stones were finished in time for a magnificent gift. Kudos to the entire staff that made this a very memorable occasion for our family. read more

I was gifted this ring when a friend crossed over. Over the years, I lost 2 of the bottom stones (1 directly under the top stone). I haven't trusted it with anyone. After some recommendations, I decided to take it to Jon Bate Jewelry Studio. This is the result. It took some work; I knew it would. It looks BRAND NEW (as promised!)! Even the scratches on the underside are gone! I am SO happy with the work! I HIGHLY recommend them! read more

Jon Bate Jewelry - I couldn't be happier! Beautiful work! It looks brand-new and I've had it for almost 20 years. It belonged to somebody before me... - Jewelry Near Me - Cameron Park, California

I had damaged my 33 year old wedding band/ring and Jon had it fixed in minutes. Very professional. Highly recommend.

The only reason I'm giving these folks five stars is because there are no six star ratings. I went there for the first time based on a recommendation of a friend. I had two rings that needed to be resized. One of them was my wedding ring and the other a ring I got while in the Marine Corps many years ago. They did a beautiful job on the rings, and I'm proudly wearing both of them now. Much better than having them laying around in my drawer. Great customer service.... greeted by staffers (all family) with a smile who really know their business. Even though it's a bit of a drive for me, I won't go anywhere else. read more

Can't say enough about how great the owners are and the excellent service. They helped my son design the engagement ring he gave his wife and they helped fix my watch which I thought couldn't be saved. I have friends that drive up from Sacramento to use their services because of the outstanding quality and friendly service. I like that it's family owned and not a chain jewelry store. I say support small local businesses. read more

The best customer service I have received in years. Jon went out of his way to make sure my daughters watch band repair fit perfectly. The store was busy but he never rushed her. The work he did was flawless. I will definitely come back for all my jewelry and repair needs. read more

Service is professional and prompt. Years ago we had wedding bands created that are not typical, and we are still delighted with their durability and beauty--Jon shined them up for just in time for Valentine's Day. read more

After Rudolph's in Placerville closed, I was a little worried about finding a reputable jeweler outside of Sacramento after they repaired a family heirloom my fiance surprised me with for my engagement ring. I found Job Bate's on here and decided to give them a shot. They did a lovely job on my fiance's wedding band and are working on mine as I write this. Since my engagement ring has some unique curves, I wanted a band made so I could wear both on my ring finger. They took a wax impression and are using the gold from another heirloom ring I have to create a unique, custom piece. Friendly and fast service, talented jeweler, and fair prices. I'm thrilled I found them. read more

Jon Bate Jewelry is the best jeweler I have ever been to! Jon and Pam are the most honest and talented jewelers! I have had them fix many pieces of jewelry that are irreplaceable and they have always gone above and beyond my expectations. Jon Bate Jewelry also made my daughters wedding ring including in pieces of inherited gold and diamonds to make a beautiful custom ring which she treasures. I have always referred them to friends and family and will continue to do so. They are truly the best of the best! read more

I have taken two rings to Jon Bate for repair; one was a simple fix, the other was a total reconstruction that basically resulted in making a new ring. Everyone there was friendly, honest, and professional, committed to getting things right. Prices were very reasonable (the reconstructed ring cost waaay less than I'd feared or expected), both times the ring was ready when promised, and each ring was done perfectly. They're gorgeous! Jon even fixed a botched repair from a different (large, very well-known) jeweler. There's no need to go anywhere else! read more

So helpful and friendly, did a great job on my watches, ring , and neck chain. Very fast and reasonably priced.

Jon is a champion. I brought in my favorite watch that needed a battery replacement and had some components or of whack. Jon was backed up for a week with other work but managed to squeeze in my watch repair so I could get it in time for use the next day. read more

There was some very unique pieces in the studio. I ended up going here for some jewelry repair. I had damaged a piece of jewelry, and thought it was beyond fixing. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful words about Jon Bate Jewelry Studio in Cameron Park. Jon and his wife, Pam, are absolutely the BEST. Did not know where to get my watch battery changed without going to a mall kiosk and paying $20+ plus the time/gas for the trip. Jon Bate was recommended in the community and I had a wonderful experience. Extremely reasonable charge for the watch battery and I also had my wedding ring checked and cleaned while I was there. The front of the store staff is very kind and extremely professional. A true asset to Cameron Park. Who says you can't have it all in a small town?!?!!!! I'll be back for some very pretty sparkling earrings. Promise! read more
