I've purchased custom pieces and have had items repaired here in the past. I always knew they were on the expensive side but recently compared prices with other local jewelers. Jon Bates quoted $1600 for something everyone else quoted around $250. For the same exact repair. Unfortunate but I won't be back! read more

Jon Bates jewelry did a great job on my custom ring, but they took 6 months to complete, (their salesman has since left), and they were very expensive. I wanted two rings so when I asked for a quote on a second ring, a solitaire, their quote came back as the most expensive jeweler out of the four (4) I went to. read more

The only reason I'm giving these folks five stars is because there are no six star ratings. I went there for the first time based on a recommendation of a friend. I had two rings that needed to be resized. One of them was my wedding ring and the other a ring I got while in the Marine Corps many years ago. They did a beautiful job on the rings, and I'm proudly wearing both of them now. Much better than having them laying around in my drawer.
