Levon does it again! I love purchasing loose gemstones and Levon is willing and able to do beautiful custom work. The first time, I brought him a loose purple spinel and ONE inspiration picture. He was able to source small trillion cut diamonds and his work was high quality. The second creation was an oval shape tourmaline with non-standard dimensions and he was able to set it the way I wanted. I brought in a gold ring with a large stone that needed sizing, and I couldn't be happier without outcome. The ring fits perfectly, and you would never be able to tell. My stepdaughter also had a necklace that was purchased by her mother in Italy. It was broken with a very delicate chain and small charms. The owner was unable to fix it, but he was able to convert it to a bracelet and maintain the charms and it is absolutely beautiful and completely usable now. And he did the bracelet for a charge! Levon is an exceptional human and a talented artist. I was on the hunt for a ring to be made from a picture. I had three other rough estimates and had never worked with Levon before. He explained the process, helped pick out and order a ruby, showed me the diamonds he would use and created a ring from pictures that far exceeded my expectations. The entire process took two weeks, but would have been faster had my schedule allowed me view the ruby and size the ring sooner. He used his finest diamonds for the flower halo around a ruby center stone, added milgrain and brite cut detail to make the edges of the halo appear to have movement like a flower and didn't skimp on the platinum either. It is definitely my favorite piece of jewelry next to my engagement ring. I cannot stop staring at the beauty of it (from the design and the sparkle of the stones). We also brought my husband's dad's Mason and Chevron rings in to get prongs around the diamonds and sizing. He made them look new and you cannot tell the ring was sized. I went to this shop with the intent of selling an old jewelry and in that process, Lavon, the owner which by the way is very professional, approachable, honest and what my husband would say a stand up guy, I have asked him to check what carat my ring was and that's when he told me that the diamond was CZ and I got furious, the last time my ring was out of sight was when I took it to a different jeweler to get it resized. After I left this shop I went straight to that jeweler and confronted them so they switched the CZ to a real diamond. I would have never found out my diamond was switched if not for GLA Jewelry. I first came across Levon at GLA when looking for someone to downsize a ring my husband and I bought for my mother-in-law. The ring was a simple, yet pretty silver ring that was only about $30 to buy. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not make it in half sizes so to get the right fit we needed someone to reduce the sizing. When calling around, most quoted me $60 to reduce the ring by a half size and Levon quoted me $30. Obviously, that was the route I was going due to far more reasonable pricing. Upon going in to take the ring to Levon, I found a genuine craftsman and business owner that knows what customer service is all about. He offered me coffee and we chatted about what I wanted done. I inquired about other work I've been interested in getting done and found him to be a VERY skilled jeweler through his portfolio of work he has shown me. Based on my interaction, I made sure my husband knew that anything we would have done had to be through Levon! I recently was surprised with a beautiful moonstone and 14K gold teardrop earring and necklace set! Bottom line...Levon is awesome! He does great custom work and is super friendly!
