The owners were meticulous and fair, very friendly, and a pleasure to do business with!

Courteous and efficient. Good pricing for selling your commodities compared to other gold dealers.

Really great experience. They were professional, friendly, and quick -- I was in and out in about 10 minutes. I'd definitely recommend and would go back again. read more

I had a couple gold rings I no longer needed & this company gave me an amazing price for them!

There are so many reasons you should want to take your business to Gold Exchange. Definitely a class act! I was curious about the worth of some silver coins I have had for over 25 years. Yet hesitant to take them for appraisal because I did not know where to go, who to trust and, frankly, was nervous about the type of people I might encounter in that type of business. Thank you Yelp for directing me to certified professionals as well as a family-owned and operated business. After reading the five-star reviews, I was finally ready to take the plunge. Deciding I wanted an appointment rather than just walking in, I called. Ardy, one of the owners as I came to discover later, was so pleasant and I instantly felt at ease. A date and time were easily arranged. After hanging up, I truly just felt relief and all my past dread just disappeared. The Gold Exchange is located on a well known, busy street in Folsom. Their very yellow VW Bug sits out in front of the building displaying the business name. You cannot miss it. I love it! And as expected, it is well secured inside so you can conduct business after being "buzzed in" feeling safe in your environment. In addition to the silver coins, I decided to collect some of my gold jewelry which I was no longer wearing and bring to the meeting. The reviews on Yelp were most helpful and getting cash for gold sounded good to me! No brainer:). As I expected, Ardy and his wife are well versed in everything gold, sterling silver, platinum, diamonds and so much more. There is no doubt in my mind the superior service I received is provided to every client who enters through the door. Every coin and piece of gold was examined carefully. A price was provided and details regarding the estimate were explained in full. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction. Absolutely no pressure. It was an amazing experience. They know their stuff! And they are fast. The amount of money I received for everything was much more than I expected. You can be assured of the integrity of this business. The owners have lived in the community over 10 years. That says a lot to me. I highly recommend both Ardy and his wife. Such personable people. I have already planned a return visit! For bringing me both joy and cash:), my #ThankYouThursday2021Yelp review happily goes to Gold Exchange! read more

I really like these guys hard to get in touch with sometimes but so far I've always done this right

Fast, friendly service from Daniel when I went in to sell some silver. Thank you, I'll be back.

Definitely the best prices I could find to sell my gold and silver. Everyone working there was super honest and friendly

Today was my second time going to this store, I drove from Vacaville. My first time was a great experience, the bald man working there was so kind and helpful. I inherited a bunch of jewelry (most was costume but they still tested it all for me) and had some real gold jewelry that was worth about 7k. They told me to come back with the remaining jewelry that I inherited and they would he happy to test that for me as well. I returned today and the lady at the counter did not want to test anything, got annoyed when I would ask questions and when I asked if one piece that matched what I brought in last time could be real since it looked exactly like the real gold set, she said she doesn't know why I keep asking her this and that maybe I brought in fake jewelry last time and that their store got scammed. What a horrible nasty comment to say to a customer, she made her store sound incompetent and unprofessional. I wish I would have caught her name but I'll never be returning here again. If anyone decides to go here, only work with the man since the woman is a horrible person. read more

I came here based on Yelp reviews and they were right! Five star service from this business! This storefront is in a great location on East Bidwell at Montrose. Easy to find. Lots of parking right in front. This was my first time ever taking in jewelry to exchange for cash. I had some gold and some sterling silver old jewelry. I thought - why not see what I can get? The entire process was enjoyable, efficient and easy. I was assisted by the owner of the store and she could not have been any nicer to me. I was greeted immediately and helped right away. She carefully measured my items on the scale in front of me and explained the process as she went along. She gave me a lot of interesting information about what happens to the gold and the regulations on everything. I love hearing how things operate so this was great. You have to show you ID and get fingerprinted your first time. Then you are on file with them for future visits. I was paid much more than I was hoping and I was paid right on the spot. I was super impressed with everything. I would recommend that if you have some old unwanted jewelry laying around - bring it in! read more

I chose Gold Exchange as the place to sell about $1,200 worth of silver coins and silver commemorative sets that I had accumulated over the years based on all the very positive 5-star reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed. In fact, I had the very same experience I had read about in other people's reviews, namely that Ardy and Elie are honest, trustworthy, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, fair, etc. There are many subtle and easy ways that a business buying various types of silver coins can be dishonest from undervaluing coins of a particular year and mint and grade to the way they measure the amount of silver, etc. (This probably applies to gold as well as silver.) I believe that the methods they use to value their purchases are fair and honest, and that I received a fair price for my coins. Since I had been a small business owner in the past, Ardy and I briefly discussed what it takes to be successful in business. Ardy indicated that his primary objective in every transaction is to make sure that every customer leaves his business satisfied and happy with the value paid or received, and that they have been treated with integrity. It is apparent that Ardy and Elie have been doing that for years. read more

The woman who helped me explained the entire process and I walked out with a nice wad of cash

Very knowledgable and friendly. Not only offered a fair price, but was willing to talk through the details and even gave advice on what to do with items they weren't interested in. If you're in need of a place to take old coins or metals this is it. read more

Horrible rude service! Beware will offer way below average SPOT DEALS. I understand over head prices but this guy will try and rip you off! Don't do business here! I would recommend doing some research on your items before hand as he thought I was not knowledgeable and tried to rip me off! You been warned!! Once After I told him I didn't agree with his estimate he got really rude. I been buying and selling coins all throughout Nor cal never have I tried to force someone into buying my items. He is a bully and will tried to take advantage of the weak if he could . He threatened me with police, which I gladly accepted and said I would wait for them also because I did nothing wrong! This no way of treating people. He thought I wasn't smart and tried to rip me off ! Please be careful. He is a fake person! read more

Awesome guy and easy to work with. Gave me a fair price and even tried to get me to take one of my items elsewhere in order to make more money for myself. I sold it there anyway just to deal with his straight forward system. 10 out of 10 read more

Just had a great experience here! Ardy was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and kind... all of that, plus a sense of humor! Not only did he make an offer on some jewelry items, but he was honest and offered some other creative recommendations. Came here for the first time last year and it turned out to be a great experience. My bf and I drove all the way from Elk Grove because of their great reviews! First time walking in was a bit nerve wracking because I had never done this before and I was unsure about the entire process. I needed to sell some of my gold jewelry due to some hard times, and I was not disappointed. Ardy and Elie are super sweet and kind. Ardy will tell it like it is, extremely knowledgeable, professional, and fair with his prices. They made the entire process easy. My bf also ended up selling his necklace and he was happy with the outcome. Thank you! read more

Spot price on 24 karat coins. Three days before Christmas, two years in a row, when everybody else was charging a premium to turn gold into cash, this business paid spot price in a no nonsense fashion. I cannot recommend this business enough. read more

First time here today. Small inventory but very nice owner both personable and warm. I've seen the sign waving people out front for a long time but typical me...I've always been more interested in sign twirler's abilities than what's on the sign. As we were selling an item I was very happy to learn that our experience wasn't like trying to negotiate with a hardcore pawn dealer. I liked this place and I liked this guy. read more

Gold Exchange, in its entirety, is an honest and efficient business. It is rare to find a professional that you can trust with things that you do not know. That is why we all seek professional service! I knew nothing about the worth of my jewelry until I went here. The Owners were honest and upfront; they let me know if I should keep or sell certain precious metals due to the fluid ups and downs of the worth of gold, diamonds, etc. There are many buyers of jewelry in Folsom and Sacramento, but I trust Gold Exchange! read more

Hubby and I have never been to a gold exchange. I inherited an expensive gold watch that is not my style , I prefer my Apple Watch. The gentleman who helped us was very professional and informative. It was not awkward at all, I feel his offer was reasonable . Would feel comfortable doing business with this establishment. read more

My first time going to have jewelry appraised and sold. Good customer service and friendly people working there. Every check and analysis of our items were done directly in front of us. They explained the process and was open about what to expect. I had gone to another local jewelers in town before coming here. Over there they took our jewellery behind closed doors and actually low balled us significantly. They didn't explain much about the process of getting jewelry inspected. So obviously we were not comfortable doing business with them and went to Gold Exchange. The reviews I read about this place was spot on. So happy to went here. read more

Always appreciate their honesty. I had taken a bracelet to a now out of business local jewelry store and was told it was not 100% gold, and offered $400, I then took it as a second opinion and I was told it is 100%,gold and offered $700 for it. I will never go anywhere else. Honest, friendly, and reliable store hours. read more
