I would've given five stars as the service I wanted were provided, but my husband previously worked for CA Dept. of Tax and Fee Administration. Therefore, he knows when taxes are and are not applicable. (It's surprisingly how frequently businesses charge taxes when they shouldn't be, but I would never know this if my husband didn't inform me.) The owner removed the tax from the cost, but didn't want to learn the relevant law or apply the law to their future sales. Just a heads up for future customers: Tax shouldn't be applied to non-tangible goods, so solely services, such as downsizing a ring, shouldn't be taxed.
