This review is LONG overdue. Last year I had a horrific experience where my body swelled all over and I had to have my wedding ring cut off. My husband and I were planning to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in Australia and I wanted to have my ring fixed for that adventure. I never leave this store happy. I went to the Elk Grove location for years and was a loyal customer, but every since I moved up the hill and started going to the Folsom location it has been horrible. They try up sell and lie about damage when you go in for cleanings. I paid to have my ring re-tipped put it in a box wore it one time to dinner, came back to have it cleaned 6 months later and they started trying to tell me it needed to be re-tipped again. Scammers. My fiancé went in to get our rings appraised for insurance and get ballpark pricing for resizing. The woman that "helped" him was so incredibly rude and just wanted to get him out the door. We suspect it was because of the way he looked as the woman was much more pleasant and eager to work with other customers in the store. We were looking to get ballpark verbal appraisals to see if it was even worth insuring our rings since they are family heirlooms, however this woman would not help at all (which is pretty surprising as other jewelers were happy to do since it is literally no cost to them). She wanted him to pay $150 per ring for a written appraisal right off the bat in order to get her opinion. As for the resizing, the price was very high compared to other quotes we have gotten. I'll add that she was hesitant to even give the price to do that. I do not recommend coming here, there are much more personable and affordable jewelers in Folsom. read more

My mom tried to get her wedding ring sized up. They actually broke the ring. When she's wearing it you can see the line where they cut it open. The soldering keeps falling off. When you solder it should meld the ring into one. When we complained she treated us like we were stupid. Talking down to us. Saying she would only fix the ring one time. Otherwise we would have to pay. Well they fixed it once. Same thing. The gold fell out due to the soldering. I've been doing stained glass since I was 6 years old. I've never seen anyone this bad at it. And I was a stained glass teacher. They honestly don't care. They were rude. If you are buying yo buy jewelry just go to Shane Company. It's an amazing company. I went to Roger's to look for a 4 th year anniversary gift. As soon as I entered I was greeted that was great. I was asked why I came in. I told them and asked to look around. My wife is not into jewelry so I was looking for what she likes. Well I tried the sales lady kept stopping me to show the hearts of diamonds collection and told me the price $1500.00. I want to look around so assuming $1500 was too much she went around the corner and showed me a piece for $400. I again said I want to look around! The attached pic is of the finished, beautiful product. My wedding ring band broke (after 34 years), so I took it to these fine folks for repair. I also wanted to re-envision the ring a bit...the original had diamonds and my birthstone (amethyst) surrounding the center stone. I asked them to add my husband's birthstone around the center to accompany mine PLUS each of the kids' birthstones, two on either side. Unbeknownst to me, my husband conspired with them to increase the size of my center stone. My husband just gave me, not only my beautiful newly designed ring, but he had my original stone/setting placed/replicated into a necklace/pendant. Happy Valentine's Day to ME!!! The one who helped me was Sam and turns out the battery was just dead they helped me out with fixing my watch very quickly and during my visit I asked if they have recommendations for polishing a silver necklace that was oxidizing and they gave me a cloth that really helped out! Replacing a battery (battery price included) was $15, however the man there was so kind to my sister and I, that he not only replaced it for free, but delicately polished it so it would look almost brand new. This location is not to be trusted. We went into Rogers to have my wife's diamond anniversary ring cleaned and inspected. We were told that the prongs were worn and the center diamond was loose. She was told not to wear it or clean it until it was repaired for a cost of $400. The ring was purchased from Rogers and we have it checked regularly. The last check was fine, and she had rarely worn the ring since the previous check. We were surprised that the prongs were worn and needed to be retipped. We did not feel that the ring was in need of repair. We took it to another reputable jeweler who inspected the ring and said it was in very good condition. The jeweler demonstrated to use that the ring was fine. The prongs were not worn and the diamond was not loose. We did not tell the second inspector anything about Rogers assessment until after the inspection. We feel that Rogers Jewelry in Folsom was deceptive and were just trying to do a bogus repair. They lost our future business because they lied to use and cannot be trusted for any future purchases. read more

I have been going to Rogers since my husband bought my engagement ring there 7 years ago, every time there is something new. from rude sales people to most recently damaging my ring and being scammed into having the prongs fixed. the last time I went in they cleaned my ring and handed it back and several diamonds had fallen out of my anniversary band. they pretended to not notice and when I brought it up he fished the diamonds out of the cleaner. they sent it out to "fix" it and when I got it back it is noticeable which diamonds had fallen out. In addition to that my engagement ring now snags on everything. I brought it back in, paid to have the prongs retipped and told them about the crappy repair job on my other ring (which I was told couldn't be fixed). just picked my rings up today that I paid to have re-tipped and it is still snagging on everything....makes me think they either did nothing or I was completely lied to. Do not bring your business here. I have never once, in 7 years, been treated respectfully or had my rings properly taken care of. read more
