I had stopped going to this store when they changed from a normal thrift store which carried everything typical of a thrift store to a "boutique" style which did not have housewares, sewing section, kids toys, etc. WELL THEY ARE BACK AND EVEN BETTER! I went this past weekend for their half off sale and was so pleased to discover that they have changed yet again! It appears they listened to customer feedback and added back all the stuff we love to see in a typical thrift store, but they are much more organized and clean. They do a great job and I felt like the prices were fair. My only complaint is the older man at the checkout counter who has been there a long time. He is sooooo slow and not friendly. This past weekend he was downright rude to me after taking 10 minutes for him to add up my items and my son's (15 small items max). While waiting I was speaking to another customer and once the man was finally done adding everything up he interrupts me and says, "there is a line here". Uh yeah, there is a line cause you are slower than molasses! read more

Store is cute. Was excited to visit this one as the Placerville and Folsom location are great values. The Cameron Park location is way overpriced. They have a boutique with so called higher end items however it's mostly normal stuff that's overpriced. Whoever is pricing has no clue what they are doing. read more

Just had to rave about the CamPark Snowline Hospice Thrift Store and their latest makeover! They have reorganized the layout and the displays were so fun to poke around for treasures. It feels much more bright and shopper-friendly now. The prices are completely reasonable too. I got these two small cups for 99 cents each that I plan to use for mini succulent planters. The manager was super friendly and even shared some of his plant advice. I've been a long time supporter/shopper and I almost hesitate to write this because it's always been my spot to find hidden gems so I don't want to increase my competition, but since it supports a wonderful cause I don't want to gatekeep. I made the mistake of going to close to closing (5:30pm) so I'll have to go back because I didn't even get to the clothing section. read more

Hate to be negative but in the interest of honest advice, I will say the selection is very minimal and the prices are a little unreasonable, especially when considering this is all donated merchandise. In some cases the prices as marked are more than what I have seen for the same exact items at their original place they were sold brand new. read more

I used to frequent this shop and although prices were higher than goodwill it was for a good cause so I didn't mind. Now they have remodeled and not only is there half the amount of items as before but prices have quadrupled. For items that are donated to them for free. Change the name or change it back! The attitudes of every employee has changed as well, every time I have gone in since the remodel I've heard people complaining about obscene pricing. Not only is this no longer a thrift store, it's keeping with boutique hours too! Closes at 5 pm. who are they actually catering to? Certainly not working people. No point wasting my time driving down here again. Really disappointing. At least update your hours on Yelp. It's the least you can do. read more

I can't understand what has happened to this store. For the past 15 years, I've been a loyal customer, visiting at least once a week, and I always left with something special. However, after the recent "remodel," the unique charm that once defined this place has vanished. I was shocked to find dirty, used boots priced at $35 and a wicker shelving unit missing a glass shelf for an outrageous $325! It's disheartening to say that I will not be returning to this store. It's a real disappointment, especially considering that the decision to eliminate home goods and inflate prices on second-hand furniture in the age of Facebook Marketplace seems like a VERY poor business strategy.This store will be a distant memory in no time . read more

Place has totally changed. Not a thrift store any more. It's now a high priced boutique. The prices are astromicly high. Higher than an antique store! How do they justify this? I don't see this shop lasting much longer at this rate. This is really too bad, this used to be a nice affordable place to shop at. On the positive side the staff is very nice and friendly. The store has amazing high end clothing in their boutique! Not just formal dresses (they have tons of these), but also very cool jackets and such to pair with your skinny jeans. And fancy shoes! I also found great home decorating items. The store is a great find! The employees and volunteers are welcoming and can help you look for things, try on clothes and hand you alternatives so you don't need to redress to leave the dressing rooms. WOW just wow...I am new to thrifting and I have been to all three of your fabulous locations. Definitely worth the drive from Yuba City This was my first time I was here on Saturday and it has now become my new favorite. This store is almost amazing as the staff everyone was so incredibly friendly, especially the gentlemen serving up the delicious hot dogs. (You won't find that at your mall). The store is set up so shopper friendly and I was able to find some new decor for my home and some new kicks for my feet. Please don't change a thing. This store is a gem. I am not sure what happened to this thrift store but it definitely isn't a thrift store anymore. Seems like they are maybe trying to compete with another shop in the same shopping center. Has a boutique feel. Extremely disappointing as I really loved this thrift store and loved when they did their Christmas extravaganza. The Snowline Hospice Thrift Store in Cameron Park carries some hidden designer treasures, so it's worth taking a look around. While I was there, I really appreciated the excellent customer service Cindy provided to help me find just the right vintage jacket, perfect for the holidays. I grew up going here, its upsetting to see the prices being raised so high, I found a few items that were the same price or more expensive as if I bought it new. The staff was rude and they close there bathroom an hour before closing. when buying fabric that had no price he came up with high prices. My mom was discouraged and we felt scammed. read more

After the new remodel the environment of the thrift store has completely changed. It is no longer a thrift store full of different nick nacks which kept it fun and enjoyable to just take a peak around. Prior to the remodel, although prices were still relatively high considering it's a thrift store, I stopped by at least once a week to look around. Needless to say I won't be going there much anymore which is unfortunate because I also liked to chat with some of the workers. read more

While I wouldn't normally leave a business review for a thrift store (most have become increasingly NOT thrift) I wanted to take the time to mention a couple of the reasons I continue to return to the Cameron Park Snowline specifically....Cindy, Susan & Zoa. They have always been wonderful to me and my daughter whenever we shop or just browse. Cindy has a great attitude and is always so helpful. Susan always finds the cutest stuff for my daughter and even takes the time to show her, which my young daughter just adores! Zoa, the manager, has been nothing but exceptional and is willing to work with you on pricing, she always has her community in mind and her effort to keep things affordable really matters for alot of buyers. I have found myself choosing to frequent this location above the others because of the customer service I receive, and look forward to seeing these women whenever I am in the area! My wife had accumulated decor items from our home, clothing etc to donate. She went to drop off all the nice items that she took time to prepare for donating and she apparently was 5 mins before opening time, arrived 8:55 am. The young male employee comes out with attitude, stating they are not open. When realizing it's 5 mins before opening time, he says with attitude, I'll take it this one time. My wife thanked him. While unloading the car, this guy tells her 4 different times with attitude he does not do this, I don't take items before opening. While unloading some glass items, he places them in a large box and throws items on top of the glass items, breaking them and looked at my wife and said " well there goes that". What a jerk! My wife replies back to him after his 4th snarky comment about not taking items before being open " I get it", I won't be back! Ridiculous that you give away items for free to help others and get such rotten service. We'll find a new place to give our donations to. This took place on 6-1-2024 read more

I believe in what Snowline does for the community. That said, I do not believe in how they run the donation side of the business. If you want good service, and to feel good about helping the community... do not donate here. I have had nothing but bad service and poor attitudes at this location every single time I have gone. We donate because we want to help our neighbors...and yet you come away from here feeling like you've done something wrong. I have had quite the opposite interactions with Snowline Thrift up the hill towards Placerville. The Cameron Park donation staff should take a lesson. They are just...terrible. Note: To be fair...I have had good interactions inside the Cameron Park store with that staff. It's the donation staff that are horrible. read more

A great place to shop for this, that and treasures. They have books, games, clothing and so much more. I found some very nice things for Christmas gifts last year. I have yet to leave the store without buying something. Definitely my go to place. CINDY is interesting to speak with and very helpful. it seems reviews are mostly only given when things aren't right yet Snowline at the Cameron Park Location is consistently there for our community. Recently, I had very good service from Cindy at the cash register. She was helpful and kind. I have shopped there for several years and plan to shop there for many more. This thrift store is a great place to get clothing at a lower price. I also like that they call me by name when I Shop there. My mother relied on hospice care prior to her passing and so I really appreciate Snowline and what they do for our community! read more

Unhelpful and rude. Lady barely acknowledged my existence when inquiring where to drop a bag of clothing. Dropped off a huge bag of donations and requested a receipt and was told they don't give one if the drop off is after 2pm. Really? I usually go to the one in Placerville where they are so friendly and grateful. Won't come back here again! read more

I docked one star because the only perfect thrift store we had was the one that closed on Placerville Drive. But I love this little store. They have nice clothes and it's well organized. Their shoes and boots were also cute when I went there today. I would say the best deal ever were my momma's $1.00 Christmas decorations. They were great to add last minute touches to our home! Just moved to Placerville 2 months ago and I think like any normal human as I was unpacking I came across loads of stuff I just didn't want anymore. Im all for donating to help my local areas, but one of the first times I went the guy with the fedora was mean. I got out of my car because I had other things in there that I didn't want to donate, it just lived in my car. He told me to get back and stop touching. I disregarded it as a bad day and continued to pile my donations for another trip, especially because my grandmother shops at the snow line a couple exits away and that always makes me feel like I should give to the community best I can. My boyfriend ended up dealing with the guy the next time, said he had an attitude problem and didn't like him. I just went yesterday with 3 bags and 2 boxes of stuff and the fedora guy went through all of it... in my car. Claimed they didn't take half the things I brought (when I know they do because I've seen it all inside once). He also proceeded to yell at me again for taking the boxes out of my car for him because once again, I have a crate of stuff that isn't donates that lives in my car that I didn't want him to take... rude rude rude. In addition, the inside is completely unbelievable. I grabbed a couple items to buy and they didn't have a price tag on them. The lady at the cash register looked at me, looked at the items I grabbed and said "is 8.50 fine to charge for this item?" I don't know? Maybe it should be priced? Weird... read more

Never go here. I will do all I can to go to El Dorado or Folsom. Whoever they have taking donations is a real jerk! First my mother in law had a bad experience, then another time my wife said she wouldn't go back. I thought they were crazy and I went to drop off donations and the guy went off on me for moving my car out of the way to let another donation park that was clocking the street. It was all I could do to not beat him him my bag of donations. I left to drop off somewhere else. The dude has an attitude problem! read more

It's always hit and miss, but when I get "hits" my first time around, I'm more likely to keep coming back! Friendly staff, well organized, good selection and prices. Watch out for long haired woman in 50s working register - every other cashier honors the posted prices while old long haired woman will talk to you about baby clothes costing $10 per bag while charging $18 for under half a bag...i could see charging $10 per bag as flat rate or if $10 per bag then half a bag should be $5 or even $7 but to discuss one price while charging almost double for half as much is robbery. So beware of betting overcharged & don't bother asking how it works out because they obviously keep imbeciles on staff & on register, unsupervised who lack the brain power to handle such a simple task without screwing it up! Used to be a regular but never going to deal with the crooks & bafoons there again! read more

I went to donate two lamps. The first guy said that he had to ask if they were accepting lamps. I pulled up into a parking spot next to the donation acceptance area. Another guy comes out and tells me to move over to the other area. I was intending to shop afterwards, so did not want to move to another parking spot if they would not take my lamps. I asked the second guy if they take lamps, he said to move over to the other area. I asked again if they take lamps, he told me again to move over. We went over this again and I said I didn't want to move if they would not take the lamps. He would not answer my question and raised his voice. UNBELIEVABLY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I took my things elsewhere and will never donate to Snowline again. read more
