Loved the girls that were working here today. I typically only visit this cafe if Im at a show at PPAC. They brew all there iced coffee flavors which is a plus seeing I dont like syrups. Food options too and a large seating area. Parking can be tricky in the area but worth a little walk in the city. read more

4.5 stars for food-- Super cute coffee and sandwich shop convenient to the PPAC. Food came out in a reasonable time and was well made; got a tuna melt panini. The only complaint was that the tuna was very under seasoned (and there was no salt or pepper within reach to fix it.) I work close to the Marquee Cafe so it is my go-to lunch place when I don't bring a lunch. It is super popular with the JWU students so there can be a line at weird times because of the college class schedule. Marquee Cafe just started doing online ordering through Clover so you can just go pick up your order & by-pass the line (which I love!). My favorite is the Greek salad wrap. It has romaine lettuce, cucumbers, kalamata olives, feta cheese, red onion slices & Greek dressing. If you want protein, definitely add the chicken. I asked inside the PAC where to grab a quick bite. Wow this place is great! Had the Roast beef on a roll and me the Marquis Sammy. I had her toast the rolls. Wow that did the trick. I'm sure it's here for the business crowd but it worked for us today! We hungry drivers bringing in the show today and tomorrow. Great iced tea and coffee. Looks like they have pastries too! Marquee Cafe is by far the best cafe downtown! I love all their lattes including their new banana milkshake latte and bbq pulled pork Mac n cheese panini! great friendly workers and the owners are amazing people! I could not find a cafe with a good chai downtown Providence until I found this place. They have pastries, breakfast and lunch. Basically, anything that'd help you get through your workday. They have small tables if you want to eat there. The service is fast and the servers friendly. I recommend you give it a try. read more

If you're looking for a place to go before a show at PPAC and you don't want to spend a lot of money but you want decent quality food then this is the place for you. They have a very limited soup salad sandwich menu with some pastries. Nothing fancy but basic good food. I had the chicken tortilla soup and it was very good and very tasty. The tuna was a little fishy but I had my choice of breads and they certainly put a lot of tuna into a 1/2 of sandwich. I like that you can get the soup and salad combination or the soup and sandwich combination. The service is kind of slow for a place that seems like it should really be banging out orders because the menu is so simple. It's very crowded in there so on a show night we get there at about 5:30. By 6 o'clock the place is full and there is no place to sit. A nice place to go grab a lunch and go and a nice place to grab dinner and go. We found this Cafe style Restaurant in downtown Providence on our way to live theater we attend next door to it at Providence Performing Arts Center. We're always in a hurry and even though the place is packed they get your food to you very quickly. Grab a table inside or out. Lots of sandwiches packed full of Egg salad, Meat balls (my wife's favorite) and tuna and many more choices, plus bagels with whatever you'd like on it, muffins of every kind plus a great selection of desserts. The staff is so friendly. The lady who seems to run it, has now offered on two occasions to keep our unfinished sandwiches in the frig until we come back after the play. We simply could not finish. It's a new place just opened few weeks ago. It's really good and affordable. In $6, I had a coffee, egg and cheese sandwich, and one dessert. The taste of the food is really good. It's just next to PPAC. The ambiance is ok but they have enough Space for the lunch hour. It's like self served places. And they do accept cards. The staff is friendly and loved taking to the owner. Cute little, no frills cafe. This is conveniently located next door to PPAC. As a group of five, we have been here a couple of times for a quick bite. They have a great 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup. Their prices are amazing. I ordered the special and a hot chocolate for 7.00. You can't beat the convenience of the location and prices. We always arrive an 1 1/2 hours before the play to guarantee we will get a table and a chance to catch up with everyone. Parking is difficult, but if your attending PPAC, I would recommend paying at a lot. Most of the cliental was attending the theater next door. They also had a nice selection of breakfast foods, a number of tea flavor selections and lots of coffee flavors, hot and cold. We will definitely return. read more

This is a narrow, airless little space that allows eat-in, has no distancing between tables or other capacity controls, no mask requirement, and 2 of the 4 people behind the counter are chin diapering! If you are not going to pull your mask up when preparing a customer's order, when are you?! And we wonder why RI is having a surge... I want to be able to say it's OK to grab a quick cup of coffee before the JWU lunch crowd rolls in, but easily the most mediocre coffee I've had. read more

I eat lunch here a few times a week and believe it is probably the best value in Providence. Most, if not all, sandwiches are under $7 and come with chips and a pickle. The Italian grinder is outstanding and packed with meats. A small Cesar salad (big enough for lunch) is $3.99. The large ice coffee is so big it would be banned in New York. But all of that pales in comparison to the customer service. All of the workers go out of their way to make you feel welcome. read more

I work downtown and come here about once a week. I love it because there are lots of options and the prices are very reasonable for what you get- but mostly I wanted to write this review for the women that work there! There will sometimes be a long line during lunch rush, and the staff slays at getting food out super quick while still always being friendly. They seem focused but never frazzled or frustrated, and even if they are cranking out food, they still take a moment to smile and say hello while they're passing you your order. Love them and can't recommend trying this place out enough- especially if you work downtown! It's a hidden gem! read more
