Fries- were good but we took them to a nearby park and they didn't hold up. That's on us- but the flavor was good. This will definitely be a stop next time I'm in town.

Being gluten…read morefree, I always have to check on ingredients wherever we go, so I was a little apprehensive, when ordering, but still, the food was really good. I got the chicken plate and gyro plate, which came with 3 sauces. The guy at the counter put the plates together right in front of the glass counter, so i could see everything going in. He asked me with each item if I wanted it -- lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, pepperoncini, olives, etc. I asked about the parsley greens and he mentioned they have gluten in them, so he clearly knew his ingredients and was steering me well. But it also caught me off guard -- most restaurants have no idea about gluten and I'm used to having to check everything myself, so there was a mismatch between his obvious knowledge and how rushed I felt trying to keep up and make decisions. Kind of annoyed me, even though I appreciated that he knew what he was talking about. Otherwise people were nice. We took food to go so didn't experience the ambiance but it seemed nice inside.

I feel like if you go out of your way to try to appear supportive of a community, you don't get to pull out halfway through. It's really expensive to eat here otherwise, it's like $18 for a pizza, and it's usually a little burnt. I think Antonio's does pizza better and certainly does it cheaper.

The service was excellent too; everyone was friendly and attentive. I tried the steak dish, and it was absolutely delicious -- perfectly cooked and came with a flavorful gravy, sides of roasted carrots and fluffy scallop-like potatoes. One of the best parts about Plant City is that you can enjoy Sezn upstairs and then still have all the great options downstairs. Some of my favorites are the buffalo pizza (crispy buff tofu, celery & buff sauce) and the fettuccine alfredo with broccoli, which is super creamy and comforting. Overall, Sezn was fun to try outside of of ordering my usual favorite dishes downstairs, and I am looking forward to ordering the ravioli next!

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

I did go at 3pm and I was the only person in there, so I'm sure that had some effect on the quality of food. Chomp is one of those Providence restaurants that I keep finding myself coming back to, even after…read moretelling myself I should probably try something else on the menu. I've eaten my way through quite a few things here over the years, and while there are plenty of good choices, I keep coming back to the Smokey and the Bandit smash burger. At this point, I probably know what I'm ordering before I even sit down. There's just something about that combination that keeps winning. The food here is consistently good. Everything I've had has been fresh, hot, and full of flavor, and the kitchen seems to have that part figured out without making a big production of it. The menu has enough variety that you can come in with different appetites and still find something you want, but it doesn't feel like one of those places with a menu the size of a small novel where you need twenty minutes just to decide what you're looking at. The beer selection is another reason I enjoy Chomp. There's enough variety to make choosing a beer part of the experience rather than simply grabbing whatever happens to be on tap. Prices are also pretty reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which is increasingly something I notice because restaurant prices have a funny way of creeping upward when you're not paying attention. The location is another part of the appeal. Chomp sits in a great little part of Providence where you can easily make an evening out of being in the neighborhood. There are plenty of other restaurants, shops, and places to wander around nearby, so it doesn't feel like you're making a special trip just to eat and then immediately getting back in the car. Tonight, though, I have to give a special shout-out to Bella, who was our server. She was outstanding. Friendly, personable, attentive without hovering, and genuinely helpful. She suggested adding bacon to my Smokey and the Bandit, which I probably wouldn't have thought to do on my own. I'm very glad she mentioned it because it was an excellent call. Sometimes the best recommendations are the simple ones, and she nailed it. One piece of advice if you're planning on coming here: make a reservation if you can. Chomp can fill up quickly, and given how good the food is, that really shouldn't come as much of a surprise. It's the kind of restaurant where people come back because they already know they're going to have a good meal, and I'm certainly part of that group. Five stars from me. Great food, good beer, reasonable prices, a fantastic Providence location, and genuinely good service. I've tried enough of the menu over the years to know that Chomp has plenty of options, but apparently I'm still incapable of walking through the door without ordering that Smokey and the Bandit. Add Bella's bacon recommendation to the list of reasons I'm going to keep coming back.

That aside, we ordered several varieties of wings, a couple different burgers and sandwiches, and a salad. The wings were OK, but about as dry as could be, almost inedible. The burgers were just eh. The worst item by far was the Caesar Salad. Honestly it looked like someone sliced up lettuce like you would for a sub sandwich, or used a 1990s Salad Shooter, and threw it in a styrofoam dish.
