The first time I visited we had a horrible experience. After calling and making reservations in advance for 8 we were quickly seated but had to wait over 2 hours for our food. Being there with 3 young children this was unacceptable. The waitress said sorry for the wait and then gave us the bill with no discounts or consideration for the lengthy wait. I had already walked out to the car and the manager happened to approach some of our group and offered us gift cards for the inconvenience. Bc of this I withheld reviewing until we could visit at another time. Considering the food was pretty good for a local place. I had tried the salmon blt. On our second visit we went on a Thursday evening and it happened to be $2 taco night. It was great for the kids. We ordered a tortilla chip trio with salsa, guacamole and cheese dip. The tacos came with meat and cheese with lettuce on the side. On request you could also have a side of sour cream, pico and salsa. Overall a much better experience. The outdoor area was very nice and the staff was very attentive and great with bringing plastic plates and extra napkins for the kids without us asking. I have only eaten here for brunch, which is pretty good. We came out for trivia night on a Tuesday night. We were pretty full from a big lunch we had earlier, so we ordered some appetizers. I love soft pretzels and this one was delicious. It was huge! The cheese wasn't great for dipping though, it seemed to settle pretty quick. I also had the mozzarella sticks which were good. We expected it to be pretty busy since it was trivia night but it wasn't crowded at all. We had so much fun for trivia night. We won both games and loved the prizes of the shirts, coozies, and gift card. We definitely want to go back again for trivia night. read more

We enjoy going during their week day specials, our favorite is wing night and burger night. Food does not disappoint. We've had one time where the food was mediocre, but I really feel that it's whomever is cooking that makes all the difference. read more

Came in by myself to get the vibe and support local. A number of people inside and out. Seems only 1 person working. No one greeted me. Didn't know where to go. Went to walk to a table and the only waitress walked right in front of me. No 'excuse me' or anything. I turned around and waited by the entrance for about 5 minutes. I can not recommend. I left. I am on lunch from work and am not sure who they cater too. Maybe management can respond to this post. read more

I've been to The Nest a couple of times, and it's previous incarnation, Greyhawk. Hate the new name, but not much to be done about that. The food is very good. Though can be uneven. I have had the grilled Caesar twice. This first was fantastic, the second, it was alright. This last time I got a Rueben, as it was St Patricks Day. For the record, the Rueben and the corned beef are always on menu. They're superb. This time the fries were a little cool. Again, it was St Pats, they were very busy and seemed a little short staffed. I'll give this place a try again and my sis and BIL like it a lot. read more

The food is excellent, a complete, turnaround from when it was 9 Bistro. I live in the neighborhood and the change is astounding. From burgers to chicken breast to one of the best steaks I've had in a long time, they do everything well. I was there recently and had their Rib Eye dinner. It was melt in your mouth, cooked perfectly and a generous portion! I believe the correct name of the restaurant is The Nest at Greyhawk. read more

This is the worst place I've ever been to in my life. I got food poisoning from a burger here and was unable to go to school for two days. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I'm never coming to this establishment again for as long as I live. read more

I went to The Nest last evening with my wife, stepchildren and spouses along with our grandchildren for her birthday. We arrived at 6pm, did not call ahead- maybe error on my part. When we walked in I noticed a large party had already arrived as I spoke with the manager about our party of 10 and 5 grandkids. She said they would be able to accommodate. They quickly pulled several tables together. The initial beverage order was very slow as well as refills throughout the evening. It took over an hour for the first person to get their meal. Half the table ate while the other half waited for their food -- HORRIBLE and UNACCEPTABLE!!! There was no apology from management for the pace of service. As Staff and the Manager passed by our table many times, one would've thought checking in our table while passing by might be good customer service.... The meals were poorly prepared , cold meat on the nachos, cold fries, poorly prepared entrees and no refills on drinks after asking several times etc....... This entire experience was horrible!!! We live in the neighborhood and have frequented this establishment many, many times over the past couple years.... We have routinely overlooked staffing issues, poorly prepared meals etc. willing to give benefit of doubt. The attending waitress did take 10% off each bill, NOT looking for a discount -- looking for good service and MAYBE the occasional check in on our party!!!! On this visit, at the end of our meal I attempted to speak with the manager regarding this dinner and was given excuses rather than apologies.... then was lectured on the fact that we should have called ahead. When my wife attempted to speak to the manager, the manager questioned her on if she has ever worked in the service industry and then called her a mean individual when she answered that question. FIRST a ridiculous question to ask of a customer, however YES she does as in a high level Leadership role for a major medical facility as well as over 30 years of service and managerial experience. While I can appreciate being caught off guard with staffing and several large parties, but in the restaurant business you must overcome and succeed.... This was definitely not the case on the evening of October 17. It was very clear 2 of the large parties were previously scheduled so the question to ask is why wasn't staffing increased for the evening.. The unfortunate thing is that this is not the first time we have experienced this!!! It will definitely be our last time visiting this establishment... Should this type of service continue failure is certain!!! read more
