When we first moved to the area four years ago we were located in Ogden and I was happy to find, what was then, Lisa's. I found their place clean and relaxing and never had a problem with both service or quality. It was also nice that they charged $32 for a basic mani pedi, while other places were $38 or more. After we moved to leland I continued to patronize Lisa's for more than two years and in fact referred several friends. Then of course the pandemic hit and for over a year I was a diy gal. Once we got the green light I decided to go back and was looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately more than their name has changed, and not for the better. I don't get my back cuticles cut, but I do get the sides done. The tech who did my nails not only didn't address them, but didn't understand when I tried to repeatedly explain. He was a young man who clearly had no English whatsoever and not a lot of expertise. As a business owner, I get that you want to keep your employees busy, but having someone like that do someone's nails while more experienced techs are available is a mistake. Additionally, they've raised their prices considerably. Since it now costs $42 for a mani pedi and the service has gotten worse, I will no longer be making the trip to wilmington. If you're local and have one of the experienced techs do your nails, I'd say this place is as good as any and perhaps better than most even. But it's no longer my go to. read more

Just got my nails done by Kha. He did a fantastic job. The salon is very nice and clean .... everyone working there was very polite and friendly. This is my new go-to nail salon since I just moved here from SoFla. Plus, I just told a few friends of the awesome job they did. Definitely go check them out. read more

This place was good for the first visit, then it just wasn't after that. I paid for a pedicure and came out with terrible paint job. The man was rushing were the paint job ended up looking like a 3 year painted my nails. Or better yet, I could have done a better job myself. I requested my toe nails to be redone and while it was getting done, non of the staff spoke to me or apologized for messing up a paid job. Not coming back to this place again. read more

HORRIBLE! WASTE OF $100 & 4.5 hours of my life. Went there b/c Kha was doing AMAZING nails on my friends, and unfortunately for me, I did not get him. There are soooo many details to this whole experience. The first set was okay. Somewhat close to what I wanted & had in mind. Within 2 days it peeled off like a bandaid. So I called. I went for a free fix. They (my nails) got worse. I wish the pictures showed the THICKNESS. They were like marbles..I tried my best to communicate how to remedy the problem BUT it fell on deaf ears.. .It goes on from there. I won't bore you anymore with this nail catastrophe. I hate to condemn and/or leave bad reviews for a small, privately owned business, BUT, if you go go there, ASK FOR KHA ! So my friends and I decided to do some pampering while they were visiting for the weekend. I'd been told about Lisa's and since of its proximity to other things we were going to be doing I decided to give it a shot. I called and made appointments for 3 people at 2:15 for pedicures and was told no problem. They were full up when we walked in at 2:10 and we didn't get seated until nearly 2:30. We couldn't all sit together because of people still in chairs. I have to say the only part of the experience for me that was relaxing was the chair massage. My pedicure was done in under 15 minutes while my friends were still being pampered. Turns out I was seemingly being rushed for a client who had walked in while I was in the chair. I'll stick with the nail salon I normally go to. Prices are the same and the atmosphere is much better. read more

Chair #3 was the nail tech. He didn't say hello to me, he simply sat down and asked me what color. He seems irritated that I don't want gel nails. Once he asked me 3 TIMES if I wanted gel. After saying no twice, I had to pick up my bottle of nail polish and say, this is what I want! I don't need gel because I take really good care of my nails and when I have a good tech, they last perfectly for two weeks. He went on to do my nails without saying a word to me, which is really fine because I don't have anything to say to him quite frankly. If he had done a good job, I wouldn't care that he didn't speak to me. Sadly that wasn't the case. My nails are thick, chicklet-looking. I have to go back to my regular guy to have them fixed. I had spoken to him about this the last time, and again, he seemed irritated, but my nails came out great that time. I guess he was a one-shot wonder. The thing is, it seems this guy was super nice to the young girls but could not care less about me. When he was finished with my nails, he literally said NOTHING to me, but rolled his chair to the next station to begin a new client. There was no thank you, F*** you, nothing! I couldn't believe it. Well, I picked up his $5 tip and walked on out. This young man did not care about me, but he probably won't forget me. I do NOT recommend Lisa's Nails. ALL clients should be treated with care and respect. This is not the case at Lisa's Nails. read more

My daughter had a full set applied. Somehow, the nail tech, Michael, cut her on 5 fingers. She bled every time she had to use her fingers. When I spoke to them about it, I was told it was an accident and she had dry cuticles. She gets her nails done all the time and nothing like that has ever happened. I don't know of anyone having this experience. Now, one of her fingers is infected! read more

I was feeling a bit under the weather & thought getting my nails done would be the perfect pick-me-up. Let me preface this and say that I went here based on a recommendation from an instagram friend. I checked the yelp reviews and they were all singing praises of this place & that made me feel at ease, hence why I went there with high hopes. I got a fill in with gel polish & two nail repairs. My first complaint was that the thumb nail he repaired was curved down like a claw. It took a lot of frustration on his part to attempt to correct the issue, but I remained calm & was trying to be understanding. I figured he was doing the best that he could, so I kept quiet although I was still unpleased. I could tell he was becoming more & more upset because he was being extremely rough, SO ROUGH that I bled twice from two different fingers. One, he drilled too close & the other, he filed my skin. Smh! What a horror! Then, he polishes my nails. The polish was done so clumsily, that the coffin shape was gone as the polish was "drooping," for lack of a better term, down the sides of my nails. I tried to communicate this to him and asked him to refile the shaping of my nails & he practically said that he didn't see an issue. Another nail tech, Kha, kept giving him pointers to help correct the issues, but he wasn't listening. Kha ended up reshaping my nails to the best of his ability considering the damage the other nail tech had already done. I really appreciate Kha taking the time and going above and beyond to help me feel more satisfied. Because of him, the end result of my nails is not that bad. I don't want to bad mouth the whole salon, just the nail tech I ended up with. I didn't catch his name, but there were only 3 male nail techs there. Him, Kha & an older gentleman. When it was time to pay, ($45) the nail tech that did my nails told me I had to pay extra because my nails were long. He never mentioned this while I was being serviced. When I inquired about the pricing, he argued with me, even though I politely said "ok" after he explained. I had to end up saying, verbatim, "why the f*** are you trying to argue with me?" just to shut him up. Walked in and was sat promptly- great! Nail techs spoke English well which was great too (they still spoke to each other in a different language though). I asked for a lot of pressure in the massage during my manicure and they basically rubbed lotion on my hands. The gel polish went outside of my nails and got attached to my skin so I peeled it off after I left. I got ombré glitter and it looks more like half glitter half plain. I went to this nail salon with my mom and my sister and let me tell you... just wow. We made an appointment for 4pm (we were all getting gel manicures) and we got seated together in a timely manner! But once we were in the seated, we had to sit there and wait for 45 mins to get our nails started. The guy who did my nails was super rude. He laughed at the color I picked (I picked white sparkles) and told me that it was "plain" and kept asking me "um that's all you want?" While I was in the chair, he filed my nails down and then stopped to check Instagram. Went in there on a whim and was completely satisfied! I just got my manicure from this location by a girl named Harley. When you walk in it's an asian/island getaway. They have no distracting flat screen tv's but beautiful soothing classical music. The place is decorated very nicely, organized, and not crowded looking. I really liked Harley because she was not in a rush. She took her time and really paid attention to the little details. I got a simple manicure and for the first time I felt like I should have paid more than $15. Definitely will return! read more

I have gotten my nails done for what seems my entire life and this is SERIOUSLY the best place I've been! I do not write these reviews, but I feel obligated because this place does such a great job and needs to be recognized. It is family owned, clean, and everyone does such a great job. I am now 7+ months pregnant and get pedicures every two weeks JUST because they give the most amazing pedicures with leg/feet massages for no kidding 10-15 minutes. The dad is my favorite!! I am new to the area so visited Lisa Nails based upon the current Yelp reviews and the fact that it's close to home. The site and sign on the door indicated they open at 9:30am, however, I arrived at 10:50am. There was one gentleman working on a manicure for the sole customer. I was advised that the girl that does pedicures would not be in for another 10-15 minutes and asked that I pick out a polish color and help myself to a chair. After appx 10 minutes of waiting, the gentleman came and put some water in the pedi tub so I could soak. I was fine with this as its a rarity that I have the opportunity to enjoy some "me" time. The music was great! The girl that does pedicures arrived about 10 minutes later so in total I had been waiting 20-25 minutes. Unfortunately, she brought her son to work (someone later came to take him to daycare) and it took her another 10 minutes to get situated and started. Within appx 5 minutes of starting my work, two additional customers walked in asking for pedicures. I grimaced knowing that my time would be dramatically cut which it was. The polish was rushed and not fully covering some nails. The massage was brief and quite lacking. The business appeared clean and well kept, the chairs were comfortable and again, the music was great. While giving my nails time to dry, the male employee used the restroom and failed to wash his hands afterwards. Based on that aspect alone, gloves or not, I will not be returning. read more
