I do the builder gel with gel polish. Since coming here, my polish doesn't chip, and my nails don't break. I can almost get a month of wear! My daughter see's Selena. I visited yesterday and had a gel fill in and gel pedicure in chair one. The nail tech, Cindy, was slinging the gel on my nails and was very sloppy during the application. Cindy did not apply it all the way down and on the nail bed and so there is polish on naked nail. She even got the gel on my skin specifically on my cuticles and in between my fingers. During the filing with the drill, she applied so much force with the drill that she chipped the corner of my thumb nail. I had to return today because the thumb nail chipped and cracked. Instead of fixing the nail correctly, she filed it and sloppy applied more gel polish. The polish is not even. It's not smooth. On several nails, the polish is uneven near the cuticles. Very disappointing; especially based on the reviews of this location and the price I paid. read more

Scammers. I asked for the classic pedicure which is $35, then when I got to the seat they asked if I wanted gel so I said yes, not knowing it would be an up charge. When I got to check out they told me the total was $61, and no option not to tip. This is very unprofessional not to mention when something is an additional charge. I have to say they open early no issues walking in if you go early. I have been looking for a place that cares my feet were a mess and this guy seats there and takes his time to make my feet look and feet look and feel decent. POLICE report has been filled against A+ Nails! Warning: this nail salon profiles people and changes prices as they wish!! I had been a known regular there for about 6 months! I greeted almost everyone there by their name. I brought my mother, sisters, grandma, and cousin there. How do they thank me? Let me tell you.... I made an appointment on Monday night for 2 gel fills for my younger sister and I. They disregarded my appointment. I waited 15 minutes after they started my sister's nails before I left. I gave my sister my credit card and I went to wait in the car. Later when she gave me my card back I asked her how much it was. She goes $80 (not including tip) I will show a photo of her nails She got a GEL X FILL with French! By the time she was done they were closed so I went back in the morning. Thinking they could do my nails for free since they charged so much for my sisters. After I explained everything to some young girl because the owners were out of town. She said it's $50 for a fill plus $10 for French and then she charged $15 for a cut down. I said she didn't get her nails cut she goes oh then $15 for extra long nails. I said WHAT?! That equals $75!!! They just kept changing their story and didn't care. That's when I got pissed! This business runs on profiling people. This isn't the first time they over charged me either! They said they would give me $10 back. I said keep your $10 bucks. I left and filled a report with the police and will be taking this to furthest extent of the law. Terrible place. I brought my friend and daughter for pedicures and we all had an awful experience. It's so hard to communicate with the nail techs. The lady doing my pedicure scrubbed my heels for exfoliating before putting them in the water. And I asked her to scrub them after they had soaked in the water, and she said she would, but she didn't, so I had to ask again later. She still didn't do a good job scrubbing them. What a mess. It also took FOREVER. At one point I told them we didn't have hours to spend there and we needed to leave. It still took them another half hour to finish painting regular plain nail polish. Wow!! Anna was amazing! I have never had a Caucasian lady with blue hair and full of tats do my nails and she was cooler than even expected. I loved her vibe and the amount of time she took and knowledge she had. She was such a great massager. The guy who works at the door was also very nice. We have gone here several times without a problem, but this time the woman doing my granddaughter's nails was really bad. She cut her finger while filing her nail, then didn't offer any help, not even a bandaid - not even a "Sorry". Then, when we requested help from the front desk, they poured something on the finger causing it to burn worse than the original injury. Needless to say, we will not return. A few weeks ago I got a liquid gel manicure with a french tip on my natural nails and was charged $78. (Plus tipping.) Then the day after my friend got the exact same thing, just a different color for her nails and was only charged $51.... I was a regular at this nail salon and always had a great experience each time before this. But not only was I outrageously overpriced for my manicure, I didn't even get the full experience of it. My nail tech didn't massage or lotion my nails at the end of her roughly handling my nails. They were extremely red and sore a few days after, so I really don't think I'll ever go back unfortunately. read more

Manicurist seemed annoyed that I chose the higher end pedicure. She rushed through it and pretty much skipped the hot stone massage. She ran a stone down my legs twice and ended the "massage". After the paraffin wax was applied, she sat up front looking at her phone and chit chatting with another manicurist and it seemed that she forgot about me while the wax cooled. I was even more disappointed when I got home and had a good look at my pedicure. My nails were cut unevenly and one was not smooth and tore when I got home. The nail polish wasn't painted nicely and there are spots where you can see the nail or peeling off. I've had several positive experiences at this salon but this was not one of them. I really wanted to love this place. At first glance it is a beautiful facility, they have a great selection of gel polishes and lots of nail techs. They offer refreshments of soda and coffee. It's really impressive. I've been here 3 times. The first time I went the nail technician did a good job. Although I did notice some of the nail lengths were a little off it wasn't super noticeable to the naked eye so I let it slide bc I like short nails. And she did a great job with the shape and painting of my nails. The gel polish lasted over two weeks with no chipping or peeling. The second time I went here I was told the previous technician had moved away and someone different did my nails. I was a little indecisive about the design but I finally decided on a nude gel polish. During my nail session I told the technician that I wanted a French tip and she said ok. I didn't realize that she didn't understand me. When she finished painting my nails I asked what about the French tip and she said she didn't know I wanted one. I told her that I asked and you said yes. She started going back and forth with me to say I didn't ask. That made me feel a bit uncomfortable as a customer and I know I asked her. Luckily a more seasoned tech sitting next to her jumped in and said of course you can get the French tip this is the right time for it. And my nail technician went ahead and did it however her demeanor was unpleasant after that. But she did a very good job on the nails despite attitude. I even tried thanking her and told her she did a good job but her attitude was off. That month I caught Covid and was unable to get my nails done. I had those nails on for over one month and the gel polish never chipped off, the nails never broke or lifted. I was really impressed with the nails. 3rd visit I had a different nail technician again. I've been getting my nails done for years in the same style of short acrylic with gel polish. The tech was so nice she shaped my nails nicely. The problem came when the nails were painted. I noticed she was using brands of gel polish that I never heard of and did not apply a foundation/base coat. I asked her about this and she said that you don't always have to apply a base coat over acrylic bc the gel polish will bond to the acrylic. So she finished my nails and used a top coat that I was unfamiliar with. My nails looked great, but two days later the polish was peeling and chipping off. I went back to the salon and the same tech was there and she was really kind and fixed the chipped nails free of charge. So I felt positive that I would at-least get two weeks of wear with the gel polish but once again two days later the polish started peeling and chipping this time on the nails that weren't previously fixed. I ended up having to fix it myself at home and using a color that doesn't match. I was so unimpressed with the peeling and chipping of these nails. I don't know if it was the brand of polish or a combination of the way it was applied with no foundation/base coat. But I will say that I have never had a gel polish set peel away like this the first week of getting them done. Overall this salon is a bit more pricey than other salons so I definitely expect higher quality. I don't know if I will return to this salon. Just because I feel like it's been hit or miss. I would really like your nail techs to apply the gel polish the right way, use the foundation, then the color 2-3 coats and then the top coat. I notice when it's done that way my nails last very long. read more

When you use regular nail polish on your fingernails and toenails the nail polish is very old so it is thick, it leaves wrinkles on your nails and look terrible. I've told them over and over again they need to buy new polish instead all they do is just keep using the old stuff. Don't waste your money in this place. I will not go back. read more

Love this spot! Fairly new addition to the Ogden area. It's incredibly clean and they are very personable. I got plain gel led light polish in the French style and it was just the right thickness! The gel polish normally pees up a lot of the time when I get it done but my nails were good (grown out, but good) for almost 3 weeks after getting them done there. I also go a pedicure and they did a great job and the massage chairs are always nice. I even noticed they had smaller princess themed chairs for children's pedicures, so cute! Horrible... I went in to get my nails done obvi. I originally had SNS on and they NEVER told me that it's $10 extra to have them taken off. (or else I never would have continued) That alone is RIDICULOUS. I have never been charged $10 to have my SNS soaked off in order to put new stuff on... Now to the nails... the nail polish was applied poorly. Not only is it messy but my nails look like the fucking Rocky Mountains and they are all a different shape... Time to pay... not only did they tack on $10 without telling me, but they only take debit cards??? What the actual fuck. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!!! I came into A+ nails to get liquid gel fill in and a blood drip design last week, Wednesday October 6th. What I ended up leaving with was poorly done gel nails and a blood drip design that wasn't even visible unless looking very closely. All of the "almond" shaped nails weren't even the same, many were longer or shorter than each other and misshapen at best. I left with $70 less in my account and embarrassing nails. Come Friday the 8th, two of the blood drip designs had chipped off along with the clear coat on many of the nails. I didn't have a chance to go back and get them fixed until this Wednesday the 13th. When I went in she fixed the chips and took the design off for me. Today, Thursday the 14th my nails chipped again, half of the nail on my pointer finger fell all the way off!! This is gel nails we're talking about... $70 nails we're talking about! So today I went back again for the second time to get them fixed only to get a rude attitude and the nail techs yelling at each other about my half missing nail. Once someone finally "fixed" my nail she didn't even put the tip that cracked off back on or make them the same shape! Before I left I asked her to even out all of my nails. All she did was quickly brush once on each one of my nails with the nail file and left them all uneven, completely different shapes, some nails are incredibly thick while others are thin and all different lengths. I went to this salon a couple of weekends ago with a friend and my granddaughter to get a pedi for me and my granddaughter. The place was very nice and did supply snacks and ice cream. My problem was the pricing... I am having a hard time believing that a pedicure w/shellac and my granddaughter's pedi which was just getting them painted cost $65. My fault for not looking at the price list beforehand but still... i think that is a little exorbitant. I won't be going back. Last time i looked down at my toes no gold flakes had erupted to make it worth that price! read more

Will not be returning, and I do not recommend. I visited A+ Nails three times. My first experience was fine. The second time I visited, I arrived 2 hours before closing on a Sunday - was notified the wait would be 45 minutes & agreed to wait. 25 minutes into the wait I was asked to come back the next day. My third visit I schedule an appointment at 11:15 for pedicure & manicure on a Saturday (never even asked my name) when I arrived I was told to pick my color & have a seat. A nail tech wasn't available to start my nails until 12:22 (over an hour wait), once my nails were done I was told it would be another 30 min wait for a pedicure. All the nail techs I've had did a great job - but I don't recommend going here unless you have 3-4 hours to waste. For this business I would recommend using a scheduling system, better organization & making sure nail techs are available for schedule appointments. read more

A+ Nails gets a C- at best. Even though the salon was empty when we arrived, the staff looked annoyed about taking an appointment. My manicure turned out very sloppy. I got a rough hand massage that lasted about 30 seconds and instead of using lotion, the nail tech gave me a few brushes of the oil they use on your cuticles. I accidentally smudged one of my nails while they were drying and she got really nasty with me about it. She rolled her eyes at me and was shaking her head and muttering under her breath the whole time she was fixing it. I then had to hunt a staff member down when I was ready to pay and once again, the lady looked annoyed about having to help me. Overall rude and sloppy service. I would not return. read more
