The BEST! Danny is the first male I have ever had do my gel manicure and he is by far the ultimate. Besides his warm, entertaining, and fun conversations, he does a beautiful job with my nails. I enjoy giving him an idea of the colors I am thinking then allowing him to come up with his own creation of it. 100% of the time I have been very pleased. What a fabulous surprise this place is! My daughter got Gel X and I got regular Gel. We both got a pedicure. Beautiful environment, good music, kind management, and excellent service from Jory and Jason. We will be back! (I spoke too soon. All the above is 100% accurate, however, in 4 days, 4 nails completed broke! Now my nails look awful. My own are nice and long and the broken ones are pitiful. This has never happened in my 3 years of having Gel X and Gel. Maybe they were filed too narrowly or not enough layers, or maybe not even Gel polish... Having recently moved to Wilmington, I needed to find a nail artist who is familiar with Gel X. Getting my nails done is something I cherish every month and I knew the time would come where I'd need to find someone new to do them in town. My friend and I wanted a nice relaxing evening to catch up and decided to try out Unwind. First off the process to make an appointment is super easy and done through a website. We even put in their that we wanted to sit next to one another and they had the seats waiting for us. The location is super cute and trendy in the inside and once you pick your colors they offer you a beverage (water, coffee, wine, mimosa). The staff was all amazing, especially Justin whom did my manicure. He was very personable, funny, and my nails look amazing. I was looking for a little #SelfCareSaturday and wanted to try a new place for a manicure. The reviews looked awesome and bonus points, cocktails! I had booked an appointment online but unfortunately it didn't confirm. No worries though as they were able to fit me in about 30 minutes later. When I came back I was greeted warmly and immediately sat down. Vani was my nail technician and she brought the colors and I was able to select my color from the wide variety and then offered a beverage. Chardonnay on a Saturday wasn't a bad idea. The manicure was relaxing with a sugar scrub and warm towel massage. The salon itself was very clean and beautiful. I definitely plan on going back for some more pampering later on. Never been here before and wanted to try it because they offer mimosas while getting your nails done. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. During my pedicure, i enjoyed some conversation with the owner. He was very friendly and told me that he runs the salon with his fiancé. My pedicure was great and the nail polish has been lasting. Yet, my gel manicure is now chipping off. I got them done last week and don't understand how this could be happening so fast. Decided to check out this place for a pedicure over the past weekend, Family was in town and I needed two pedicures at the same time. Called, got two appointments without any difficulty, that afternoon. Arrived , opened the door and was not greeted with the smell of acetone or acrylic, awesome! The spa is clean, neat comfortable and offer beverages too! They had the usual pedicure chairs that included a side table , how convenient. Multiple colors to choose from for polishes. The pedicure tools arrived in a autoclave type package, a wonderful thing. Loved that there was a "shower type bonnet " placed in the soaking tub, no worries about whose feet have been there previously. It was a wonderful experience very professional, loved the results. Updating my rating from 2019. Went to visit this week and Angie and her team are still amazing. Dip nails turned out beautifully, and I do love having a glass of wine while I am getting them done! They are following COVID cleaning protocols with screens, masks, hand washing, and disinfectant between customers. I have missed this place so much!! I love getting my nails done here. (My review is behind I am so sorry everyone, better late then never!!) Coming here was a surprise gift from my boyfriend and I was so unbelievably excited. The studio is beautiful, elegant, fun and so much more. While you are relaxing getting your nails done you can enjoy a nice drink mimosa which was delicious. Justin took such great care of me and my nails looked beautiful! I had a great time chatting away with him it made it that much more enjoyable. The massage, lotion, water temperature and overall experience was amazing. I can't wait to go back. Unfortunately I think I just got the wrong nail tech. All of the other people working in the salon seem to be humming along with their clients and the customers seemed happy. Here were my issues; 1. She didn't know how to takeoff dip so my nails still have half the dip on them. They are bumpy and uneven. She started out by grinding the dip off my nails which was fine but she ground too far on one finger (pain) and I've got a mark and it was sore for about a day afterward. 2. She put me in the whirlpool pool for the pedicure and left for 20 minutes. 3. She could not speak any English so she didn't understand much. 4. She would start one process and then switch to something else then return back to what she was doing before so I never felt like I got anything done completely. I felt like she was was so destructed she couldn't concentrate. This girl tried her best but just didn't have the skills. I gave her a $30 tip because I was so felt so sorry for her. Also, The guy at the desk was quite rude when I walked in never really greeted me and said as little as possible with a definite attitude. On the bright side ....there was an African-American young man who looked like he was managing the place and also working diligently on his customers. he helped me charge my phone and was extremely nice! This place looked clean and organized and definitely has some technicians that know what they're doing... just don't get the wrong one! read more

We made the drive an hour because the reviews were better than the area we were in. There were 9 of us in a bridal party, and unfortunately because of traffic we were a little late for our appointments. One of the mothers wanted to pay for the wedding party, all of whom got a pedicure and a manicure. They also didn't listen to the requests and most of the party got gel instead of dip. At the end when the final guest was leaving she was told that everyone else had been paid for but her. HOW EMBARRASSING!
