I was from out of town and wasn't familiar with their hours, so I arrived Tuesday evening 15 minutes before they were closing. I don't know his name but he is definitely one of the main people at the establishment and known by many of his customers. He is so funny, kind, jokes constantly, makes you laugh throughout your visit, very inviting, makes sure you're having a good time and acknowledges everyone who walks through the door. I had never had a full set of acrylics before, he explained thoroughly what to get if I wanted the best results and to trust him. I didn't feel like he was just trying to upsell me to make more money. He shaped the nails how he felt were the best for me since it was my first time and based how my nails were already shaped, I got the gel set because they would last longer and he was completely right. I got so many compliments on them, they lasted a few weeks, no chips and looked great. Their building looks small from the inside but when you go inside it's actually quite large and all of their employees are working very hard to accompany everyone that is walking through the door. They have a ton of colors to choose from regular polish to gel. I find their prices to be completely reasonable for everything you receive start to finish. Each time I have been there, there is a little boy who has greeted us and asked us everything we were looking for. She really does great work that lasts and lasts. My LCN manicure will usually last around a month before I need a fill. This was a wonderful place---not only in the quality of the pedicure service but in the warmth and welcomeness of the whole staff. Looking at the reviews here, I had to wonder if we'd gotten the wrong place. I was only passing through town and my grandmother wanted to stop for pedicures. We came in together, and I got started right away, but she wasn't started until after I was just finished. The guy who worked on me kept shooting me a creepy smile and would shake his head when I would ask him what. He also asked me if I worked out while he was massaging my calves. The other guy working there kept staring at my chest while he was talking to me as I was trying to cash out, and asked me how old I was (mid-twenties) and told me he thought I looked seventeen. Then he corrected himself and said eighteen, with a wink. The girls here were very nice, and the guy did a good job with the polish. It was clean. But I absolutely did not feel comfortable! Maybe that was them trying to be nice? They could done been better if they'd look me in the eyes. read more

The staff was very welcoming from the moment my friend and I walked in, and throughout our pedicures, they gave everyone that walked in the same treatment. He won't let you put tips on the credit card total so the poor technicians often don't get tipped unless you walk to the atm or Food Lion to get cash. The people are very nice & do good work. They do waxing if you want that, but I don't know what that room looks like. A mani/pedi takes 2 hours and you cant make an appt so be prepared to wait if there is a person or 2 in front of you. I really had high hopes for this place. I am new in town and needed a place to go to regularly. Originally, leaving I was happy. I got a French manicure and it was well done. But the next day, I had 2 toes with missing paint. One more the next day and now 5 days later another. I've been getting my nails done religiously every 2 weeks for 10+ years so I know I can normally go 2 weeks with no issues. I barely made it a day!!! That's insane. Now, I have some white paint, so I've fixed them, but I shouldn't have to. I will never go back to this place. They couldn't even get my pedicure to last a day. I go to Classy Nails because it is convenient and right by the house! The staff at Classy Nails are so friendly and they know you if you are a regular. They do great work and there is often a wait because, they are really good at what they do and aren't "just another nail salon." I was sitting in the waiting area this time and a lady told me that she recently moved to Ogden but still comes to this salon because they were the best. An added bonus is that one of the nail techs (and I believe he is one of the managers or owners) plays guitar and he will break it out for a good ol' fashioned sing along when it is a slow day (which doesn't happen often). The guy named Mathew had a great personality, but did not know how to trim and cut back cuticles on my toes. I ended up getting 2 ingrown toenails on both my big toes which I have never had before. I had to go to the doctor for one because it got so inflamed and painful. Never again will I let nail techs trim my toes.
