Tanner is the guy who you want to ask for if you're getting a full set or overlays (which is what I got this time). Walk-ins are quickly seated, and the facilities are clean and up-to-date. I got a soak off, reshape, and dip French tip overlays. With tip, my total was under 70 and I tend to tip well. Especially if Tanner is working on my nails. I have never gotten a pedicure here so I cannot speak on that, but the work I've seen looks good. The best thing is the prices. You'll see what I mean if you decide to go here. Worst pedicure I've ever had. For starters, I had a male pedicurist and he most likely is not licensed, I should have asked. I came in with square toes and left with two uneven bubble shapes, which are now likely to turn into ingrowns. Professionals should know they need to cut straight across to prevent ingrowns. Honestly this shape is laughable. I can't even look at them. I walked out feeling so shitty that I paid for this. Couldn't even stay for my manicure. Bad all around. The customer service was great and the place was very clean and I got quick service. The quality was not good for dip nails. My gel pedicure was great but my dip nails lifted 2 days after getting them. Less than a week later all my nails fell off which makes me think they were done incorrectly since that never had happened all my years of dip nails. Plus underneath they were very weak and thin as well as the shape under is very weird. I wanted to love this place since I had a great experience in there but 50$ was wasted with lifted nails that were very damaged underneath. I will not be returning unfortunately. Im looking for a place where I can have my pedi mani done but I haven't been lucky, when I'm talking about my feet I want to have a good massage that I can feel it and take the hard skin off from my heel and the side of my big toe, do not just file it cus I can do that at home. Care about my feet I'm paying good money for it , no I don't pick the cheap pedi I always pay extra for the massage time let's be honest that is what I like the most, it's been hard to find. My last time going to Diamond Nails was early 2021. I had been a customer there for well over 9 years! I was pregnant with my first child the same time Mimi was pregnant so we would talk about the kids. She was always okay, but her personality wasn't ever super friendly to me. Her husband was okay too but something happened!! Early 2021 I started feeling this strange vibe when I would go to get my nails done. I would walk in and receive hardly any greeting. The workers would look unhappy and it didn't feel like a good atmosphere. Well I chose to ignore it and keep going- maybe they were just having a bad day it happens. Repeatedly this became the norm for me, but when certain people came in, the workers would be more nice to them and greet them. Early on when I would come to this salon for pedicures I would usually be serviced by the Ladies that worked there and they usually would do a good job. Towards the end of my patronage I started being serviced by these two older gentlemen that did not know what they were doing. The ladies would not take me even if I came in and they were open. My pedicures would come out terribly, nails cut too short and not shaped nicely. I could tell they didn't know what they were doing bc they would watch the ladies next to them to see what they were supposed to do next! On my last visit there I had got my fill ins with Mimi's husband. My set is super easy I get short nails always with plain gel polish. Well he cut my nails super short and laid the acrylic super thick. Apparently I was holding my hand too stiff (which I always do and try not to) and it slipped out of his hand and he was like huffing and puffing with me. Then after he applied the gel polish my nails were looking so stubby and he said to me rudely your nails turned out like that because of the way you are holding your hand. Interesting! It had nothing to do with how much acrylic he slapped on them or how short he cut them. Okay. I left there feeling really disappointed and I realized on this day that I needed to find a new nail salon. I found a different nail Salon for the fill-in and the nail technician said, where ever you went before they didn't do your nails right. They applied your acrylic too thick! I just want to say for the record, thick acrylic is not related to holding your hand stiff. Bottom line is they pick and choose who they want to be nice to and give good service to. I've seen them be nice to all kinds of women here but when I come in it's like I get the attitude and the less experienced nail tech. They used to value my business but when that changed I had to leave. I do not anticipate returning. read more

Several months ago I gave Diamond Nails a very poor review. I decided to give them another chance, everyone deserves a second chance. They have done an outstanding job. I've been to Mimi 5 times for fills she's an excellent technician. Mary is my to go to for pedicures. Fabulous!! Mary has hands of gold, great leg and foot massages. The salon has been completely remodeled, very classy. They've taken all the necessary precautions during this COVID - 19 pandemic. So it's very safe to be there. I usually go every 3/6 months and this is by far the best experience I ever had. We went with the nu skin pedicure and my feet truly felt brand new! Got recommended this salon by a coworker, so I decided to try it out! I got SNS Dip Nails for the first time, and I was really excited! I had my nails painted navy blue, but it wasn't anything fancy, just some polish i threw on a few nights ago. As I was getting my nails done, the man doing my nails said he couldn't' get the blue polish off because it was on my skin. Just ignored that under the assumption it would be covered by the new color I was getting. As my manicure came to a close, I looked down at my nails, and EVERY SINGLE one of my nails had blue cuticles. So naturally I told the manicurist that I wasn't happy with his unfinished job. He then tried to charge me an ADDITIONAL $5 to fix the issue. I declined his offer, because I knew I could fix it at home by myself. (Note, I am by no means experienced in doing manicures) I paid him for the $40 SNS full set, and went on my way. Once I was home, I fixed my OWN NAILS in 5 minutes tops. Once I looked further into my manicure, I noticed that none of my nails were the same length, AND that the SNS is no where near my cuticles. These nails will need to be filled in 2 weeks TOPS. I will not be returning to Nail Diamond, as they let me walk out of their salon with a poor manicure that an inexperienced, 16 year old, was able to fix. I've attached photos for y'all to see. ALSO NOTE- I personally do not believe that this salon follows proper sanitation standards. I didn't see a single employee open up tools from the proper sanitation bags. Today is the 4th time I have come to Diamond Nails and they did an excellent job as always! This is my go-to spot for my nails, usually a full set acrylic with a bright color paint, I drive from Surf City to Wilmington just for them! I found this place because of all the good reviews it had and have yet to be disappointed, so I HAD to finally leave one. I get so many compliments on my nails and always tell people to check them out. Staff is friendly and accommodating and the place is clean. They take walk ins but I suggest making an appointment just to be safe. All the things I look for in a nail salon - quality, cleanliness, friendly staff, short wait times, variety of services available, good/fair prices and convenient. Mostly though, I gotta give it to the staff. So often, at a salon, I'm barely spoken to, and the language barrier makes it difficult to sometimes strike up conversation, or even explain what I want done... Great experience. My sister and I took our daughters here today... Aged 8 and 5. They have cute kids pedicure chairs. The salon was very busy (one of the few in the area open on Sunday). They have eight adult chairs, so perfect for a large group of friends. I witnessed them easily accommodating a group of four walk-ins. I had a great mani pedi experience myself. My only criticism is that they charge the same for kids as adults, but really short-changed the kids---for example the adults had hot towel massage. The kids got a washing and toenails painted. The price was the same. There should be a kids differential in pricing if there is a differential in service. Kids don't require callous removal, and the service is easier. They should consider having an "aged 10 and under" price.? However, they were super nice to our girls and the special chairs made up for it. We definitely recommend this place! read more

I've been Diamond Nails a few time in the past 7 years or so. I've never been so unhappy with a visit. I had to have a repair on two nails and since I'd had my previous services in Jacksonville,I understood that they couldn't match my nail color. That was fine. I chose a new color and explained I would do the repairs and a polish change. The tech proceeded to chip away at the acrylic of my undamaged nails. No big deal, usually when this happens we go ahead with a fill-in. But no. She picks at the acrylic until chunks are missing, then files them down. When she repaired my nails she only tipped one. The nail she didn't tip is now significantly shorter than it's counterpart on the other hand. I'm so angry that I couldn't say anything. I'm just going to my original nail salon in Jacksonville and have them fix it. I will never be back. read more

I visited this salon for my first time yesterday. It started when I told the woman who was giving my pedicure that the polish seemed to be a little thick when i opened it to try the color. After she put the 2nd coat on i noticed that the polish on one of my toes looked lumpy, she didn't understand and went to get who i assumed to be the owner. I explained to him what was wrong he told me the polish wasn't thick because it was a "new bottle" and proceeded to take polish off 6 toes as I was telling him not to and re-explaining that it was only one toe. After he quickly repainted everything seeming annoyed, he did my manicure. When I sat down at the dryer, he took my card (without telling me what my total was) and next thing I knew he came back with my card and the receipt saying "you can sign when your nails are dry". About 2 minutes after he came back telling me my nails were dry and to sign the receipt and hovered over me insisting to sign. Not to mention, the polish on my nails chipped before the day was over and look even worse today. First impressions are everything and I did NOT get a good one. My daughters, granddaughters and myself went to this salon by appointment. It was a Friday afternoon and there was one other patron there when we arrived. One of my daughters was seated upon arrival. She was very pleased with her manicure which was done by the owner. My two granddaughters age 3 and 4 were ushered back to the kid manicure seats. the techs were very nice but we asked them to wait to start as my other granddaughter had not arrived. They were 10 minutes late for our reservation as they were coming from Leland and were caught by the bridge. The other tech was VERY high pressure and uptight. She kept insisting we get started right away....again there was one other patron in the place. They went ahead and started the kids regardless of our wishes and I had to tell them to stop. We felt like they were very high pressure and it definitely was NOT a relaxing time at all. I had gel put on my nails less than a week ago and they are already grown out. Again, the techs that worked on the kids were great but the other tech needs to get out of the buisness. She was horrible at customer relations and not a good technician. The salon was clean and well kept but I would NOT recomend it! I typically do not do reviews but it this was supposed to be a special time for our family as my daughter was getting married the next day.
