This is my favorite nail spot in Wilmington! I get the same girls every time I go and they both do a great job for a very reasonable rate. They have higher quality polish options than many others I've visited, a cozy waiting room setting plus clean and modern pedicure booths in the back. They offer regular mani/pedis, gel polish, acrylics and dip nails. They have two walls of color options for regular and gel polishes. I don't get my nails done too often but when I do, I don't care too much about going all out I just like them clean cut looking with polish that won't totally kill my nails and/or come off or start to chip in just a few days. So generally I get a pedicure with regular polish and a color change with gel polish. That adds up to about $35 with tip. Very reasonable and so justifiable I've starting getting my nails done more than I ever had in my life. Top Nails is located right next to Big Lots and Ogden Tap Room with a huge parking lot that is only completely full on Oktoberfest. On top of common nail services they offer waxing, nail repairs, and eyebrow services. They take card and cash, and they take walk-ins. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I was searching for a nail place nearby my work which had good prices and this is the spot! It is only 2 min from my work I went on my lunch break the other day and walked right in and was helped. They have a variety of gel nail polish colors and regular. The girl who did my nails did an amazing job the shape is amazing and the color looks so good. She was sweet and did my nails in a timely manner so I was in and out in 30 minutes. I just did a gel polish change which was only $20!! Okay, this was my first time going to top nails & i have never ever had an experience like this one... First the salon it's self was very cute and clean. They were all very polite and actually wanted to make sure i got what i wanted. While getting my nails done they did a great job filing and shaping to my liking!! (i can't stand when salons don't file underneath and the sides well enough which they did). I also have never had someone ask me after putting one coat on if i was okay with the color which i appreciated considering i've had a color applied that i didn't like before. they copied the design beautifully too, exactly what i had asked for. And lastly the price wasn't to high like some places 40$ for a gel fill in with a design. WILL BE BACK!!! 110/10 would recommend checking them out!! read more

I have diabetes the owner then cut my toes way too short to the point I had to go to the emergency room. I don't get my nails done very often, but after reading up on the different salons in my area I chose to head over to Top Nails to try it out. I was greeted promptly, and taken to a chair immediately. I decided to try out dip powder, so I chose my color and sat down. The service itself was fine, the nail tech was quick and made sure I got the shape and length I wanted. The prices were reasonable as well, paid $40 for dip powder and tips on my nails. I was happy with my nails walking out of the salon, they looked good and I liked the color. A couple of hours go by, however, and the topcoat on my nails had already started to peel off of my nail... leaving the dull acrylic/dip powder surface exposed. The topcoat peeled almost entirely off of both thumbs and started to peel on one of my other nails. I sent a message to top nails via Facebook, they agreed to fix it at no charge. I went today to get three nails fixed and it was no problem - nails looked good again and I was a happy camper.... until I noticed more nails are starting to peel and my manicure is less than 2 days old. This is frustrating to say the least. I won't be returning again, I'll fix it at home this time... it'll probably last longer. read more

Two *pretty* thumbs up! This is honestly one of the best nail service experiences I've ever had. I usually have gel polish on my finger nails but since I have moved to Wilmington I've been shy about trying new nail shops. I'm going on vacation this weekend and decided I needed to get my nails in better shape. I got a pedi and gel mani and I am so pleased with the outcome of both. The lady doing my nails actually ASKED me if I liked her work/color choice/shape of nail. It was so nice and reassuring that she would do her best to get me the look I wanted. I don't live extremely close (20 minute drive ish) but I will definitely be back to this salon! read more

I went today with me and my friends and I would have to say I am slightly disappointed. My nails, love them. My nail tech Iris, comes through everytime. But the management is poor, she recommended a nail tech to use a specifc lamp that made the polish not cure correctly. I don't blame the nail tech at all, but the manager knew the lamp didnt work properly. With her knowing that wasn't completely satisfied with my toes, she offered me to get them redone. But I didnt want to sit for another hour when I had other things todo today. But she also didn't bother to discount my toes but she took a picture of them. For what? I have no idea. My nails were definitely worth the price but I felt like the manager over charges as well. I would definitely be returning to get my nails done by the nail tech I love. But I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here if it wasn't for Iris and her work. read more

If I could give this place no stars than I would bc i just went there today and got my nails done and it was the most horrible experience ever I mean I don't get it you're professionals right? Ugh so I asked for a full set with ombre but as he was putting the tips on they were fine until he got to my pinky and it was so Crooked that it was almost side ways I showed him but he said it was my finger not the nail but let me just say I'm 34 yrs old and my pinky has not ever been crooked lol also every color I picked put he told me no he had a problem with literally everything I asked for and when I finally picked colors he was satisfied with he yelled at me bc I asked that he apply another coat bc I could still see my nail thru the polis it wasn't fully covered so he said you wanted white this isn't white but it was its literally called snow sparks something but as he continued i had to yet again pick another color bc he didn't like it finally getting somewhere with my nails the colors aren't bad but when he finishes I look at my nails and its ridiculous bc none of them match they're all different in someway some are curved so far down it actually gets in the way when I'm typing like a few of the others also they are so wide they look really weird maybe bc he put the tips on upside down and they're all extremely thick to the point they're actually heavy and are painful and the polish doesn't cover all my nails and one more thing while he was filing down my nails the last time I can't count the amount of times he nicked me with the drill thing maybe bc he was talking about me to another tech bc i said the edges were still sharp so this was my experience today at this place I will not ever go back there again I should have know better bc of a previous visit there but my usual salon wasn't open today so it was a must after being without getting my nails done i needed it just hate how I still got charged $60 for something that is completely crappy and he didn't bother to apologize for how he treated me and also the last time I went there I only paid $55 for the same thing but how can you expect somebody to pay for such horrible service and Jack the prices up when your professionals obviously aren't professional read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had. If i could give negative stars I would. I walked in 40 minutes before closing and asked if they had time for a walk-in full set. The lady asked if I was going to pay cash I told her no and all I had was a card but could go get cash or come back a different day. She told me no and insisted on doing my nails. She got glue all over my fingers when applying the full set which she did not test the nail or file before applying the acrylic nail. She then used the electric nail filer and then proceeded to file the nails and burned my cuticle a few times to the point of bleeding. After painting them, which I never was shown colors to chose from she picked a color for me and picked gel even though I never wanted/asked for gel. She told me she had plans and she was the only one at the salon. Then proceeded to call multiple people about her plans and told them she would only be 20 minutes on my apt. I was done with a "full set and gel polish" which I could've done better myself and she charged me 40$. After practically in tears she turned the light off before I left and I told her it was my birthday. This was the manager too by the way. If I were you I wouldn't waste my time I will never be back it was the worst experience ever and she was the manager!!!!! read more

I would give this a one star if it weren't for the nail art which was fantastic. But the staff (aside from the girl that did the nail art who was very sweet) was extremely rude. I felt very judged and made to feel stupid, which was super hard to deal with because I have pretty bad social anxiety. But about three days ago I got pressured into getting the gel nails because they " last longer ", and over the last couple of days three of my nails have just peeled off. The whole "manicure" lasted for two days. I spent forty dollars to be treated like an idiot and to have nice nails for just a weekend. Also I put manicure in quotes because all that happened was my nail skin got aggressively picked at and my nails got very poorly painted. read more
