First, I called on a Saturday morning at 10:30am for an appointment THAT morning and they one for my husband and myself at 12:30pm! So I was a little dubious that they would take me on time. I was so wrong! We came in at 12:23 and were taken right away! An auspicious start. The salon is very clean and they used the standard plastic liner for the foot spas. The technicians were very nice and when I asked if they had time for a manicure for both of us, they said they had plenty of time. They were meticulous and fast which I love. It is probably good to say that I don't get fancy nails - I like things basic and focus on keeping the nails healthy, cuticles trimmed, etc.. I give them five stars! Tried this nail salon for the first time. 5 stars! I've tried numerous salons here in the Mayfaire/WB area and this is by far the best. Online booking, clean environment, prompt, cordial. Really like paying with QR code/Venmo so I'm not scratching around for tip cash. The music was quiet so I didn't have to strain to hear the technician. Chair comfortable, lot of options. I don't typically leave a review unless it's to praise a business but I felt compelled to write this review. WEIRD, WORST experience ever in a nail salon!!! For starters, don't have ur teenage son with BOTH AirPods in grunting at patrons when they walk in and make a request. My 7yr old daughter and I were instructed to pick colors and she chose two colors that were opposite each other on a color board - one was a shade of pink for the toes, the other blue- nails. The guy who started my pedicure never bothered to put water in tub until later bc he was so busy looking at his phone and texting. Then he used the sharp cuticle cutter instead of a toe clipper to cut my toenails?!? So unpleasant to painful especially when he tore into the sides of my big toenail. The skin around my toenails were burning after he poured acetone all over it in the end. Next he tried to remove my leftover dip nail polish by grinding it down with one of those electric rotary tools which is too harsh for the nail beds. I'm told him to stop bc it was really hurting (my first audible complaint). He said that's the way it's supposed to be done and berated me until I pulled my hand way. I get my nails done every few weeks and polish is gently removed with a few swipes from a nail file and acetone soak. I politely told him I was no longer interested in having my nails done. He and the lady doing my daughter's nails launched into a tirade about me in their native tongue (also mine unbeknownst to them). He stopped prepping my nails and proceeded to finally finish my pedicure. I chose a blue color which prompted my 7 yr old to realize that her fingernails were painted purple and not the blue she chose. The Lady insisted that's the color my daughter chose and at this point, I was ready to leave. Being 7 and defiant, she wasn't ready to leave until her color was right. I emphasized earlier the locations of the colors on the board and showed them again. More words were exchanged in their language and an exasperated grunt from the teenager. The Lady was already working on someone else when she decides to yell across that, sure my daughter can "change her mind and pick a new color."?!? Or she can get the color she chose that I'm paying for?!? I just want to leave at this point so I go to pay and guess what the guy does?!? He starts painting over my daughter's DRY nails with a random blue?!? Not only will it take MORE time to dry, he doesn't even bother to remove the wrong color, he paints on top of them. Every other person working there turned a blind eye when they saw and heard what was going on. I paid my bill and still gave them a 20% tip despite the awful experience bc it's their livelihood. read more

Gel X failure! I went in for a quick gel x manicure. $75 and 2 1/2 hours later I left highly disappointed. They super glued acrylic tips to my nails, and when I stopped him and said "no I want gel x", he stated that this was a higher quality gel x that would last longer... fast forward 5 days later, to today, and two nail tips just bent and broke off while scratching my pup. I was initially sketched out because as soon as I stated that I wanted gel x, the man's immediate response was "have you ever had it done before?". And now I wonder if he asked me that question because he knew somone whose had a real gel x manicure before would be skeptical of his D-list version of "gel x". I hate writing bad reviews and this is literally the first time i have ever felt the need to. But i went in today so excited to get my nails done.. i asked for a very simple design and the woman said that they could do it when i asked. an hour later he's done putting on my acrylics and when he gets to the design he tells me he can't do it. not only is the shape of the nails very wrong and botched but the color he ended up doing was too. it's unfortunate because all of the staff is so friendly, but it looks like i need to find a new place to get my nails done :/ read more

I'm so disappointed with my recent experience at Oasis nails. I went in for a chrome manicure and the whole time the nail esthetician was talking and yelling which did not make it a very good experience. Also, she filed the sides of my nails so far to the sides that it looks so unnatural and bad and it's also painful. When I brought it to her attention, she said that I need thin nails in order to do the chrome effect. Well that would have been nice to know at the beginning of the service because if that's the case I would have just gotten a regular manicure so that my nails look natural. I used to come to Oasis frequently, but I think I'm going to choose to go elsewhere after this experience. read more

Great little nail salon near Wrightsville Beach. I called to make a last minute appointment and they were able to get me in within the hour. I got an SNS manicure and Sally did an amazing job. She really took her time and made sure I was happy with each nail. It's been almost a month (27 days) since my appointment and my nails still look great. I'm impressed considering I'm not easy on my nails. I would definitely recommend Oasis but make sure you get an appointment (I went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was crowded). read more

BAD experience with Tiffany. Today really upset me. I went in to get my acrylics removed in a BETTER way than just ripping them off myself in hopes of saving my nails. Every other salon I've been to has soaked them and taken them off in a safer way. I go in and everything seems normal until she starts ripping them off INCLUDING my real nails with it. I asked her why she didn't use acetone and she kept saying "because they're coming off so easy!" trying to convince me it was okay when she literally made me bleed from how many layers she was ripping off. Not to mention, I was audibly in pain so she should've known better. absolutely disappointed and I never make bad reviews. NOT a good way to make sure your customers feel taken care of. read more

She may not have been working that day. Instead, Jacob did my pedicure. I have never had a pedicure this bad before. He did zero filing or cleaning up of my cuticles, zero calf massage, zero base coat. It is now three days later and, of course, the polish is chipping off. This was a total waste of time and $32. I had an appointment and was on time. Yet customer service was non existent as nail tech barely spoke to me. She came over after my pedicure and without saying a word began shoving my feet into my shoes, before they were even dry. things did not get better at her station. She skipped important steps in the processes. I know this because I've been getting my nails dipped for more than five years now. she used the rotary tool to grind off all the polish instead of soaking my nails which is better for nail health, she did not ask me to wash my hands before applying the polish base or apply any cuticle oil. she spent most of her time speaking to her coworker and pushing and pulling my hands where she wanted them rather than ask me to do something. When she was done she just walked away and left me with my hands under the light. I waited for her to come back because normally the tech rubs lotion on your hands before they thank you and say good bye but that didn't happen either. it has been a week and as I feared I already have a chipped nail due to shoddy work.
