The cuticles are not done correctly, my nails aren't filed smoothly, and the polish is messy and is all on my skin, and it's already peeling! Additionally, the first time I was at this salon, it was a great vibe, and everyone seemed happy. This time, it was tense in there to the point of being uncomfortable. Before leaving this review, I emailed the owners as soon as I noticed how bad it was and included pictures. They replied quickly and said they'll do it over. They called the next day to ask about availability, and said they'd check the schedule and get back to me. Two days later, and I have not heard back from them. I've followed up twice. At this point, I am no longer interested in a redo. I just wish it'd been done correctly the first time. I rarely spend money on pedicures, so I am very disappointed.

My shaping is always on point, and the leg massages actually have good pressure and technique without ever leaving me bruised or irritated afterward. The salon itself is always clean and welcoming. I'd honestly love to keep this place on the DL so the prices don't start creeping up, but they deserve the hype. I've tried other salons closer to me and usually leave disappointed because the service just doesn't compare. Having joined several Wilmington Facebook groups when I moved, people were raving about Unwind Nails & Bar. I was thrilled that 1) they had someone who did Gel X, and 2) I could book with them using an app! I ended up booking with Robin, and she was amazing! (I live in CB) The very first time I ever visited this joint the owner offered me a shot of Patron. He was also playing his guitar in between patrons. He was very sweet and so were all the other employees, laughing and joking around, and actually holding conversation with customers. Cami is the absolute BEST for a manicure! She really does great work that lasts and lasts. My LCN manicure will usually last around a month before I need a fill. She will also, if you allow her, pick out a color she thinks is best for your hair, eyes, and skin tone! I can't say enough good things about Classy Nails. It's conveniently located in a small plaza with ample parking. It seemed very clean and spacious but it's always empty. I also noticed the staff seem very uptight when the owner lady (I think her name is Tammy) is there. Not as much when the husband Tony is. It's like she breathes down their necks coming in and out front from the back where she can hear or watch what's going on mid conversation with customer. I once had her do my nails and I didn't like something she was doing and questioned it and asked she not do it... she reacted very insulted and laughing off that I didn't know what I wanted. She couldn't let it go and after a while I was completely turned off by her lack of care in what I was seeking. They speak Vietnamese but what they don't realize is that I have an app that translates live on my cell since I work globally. She was talking so much trash to her husband and to another staff about me and another person. They also did away with their points program without notice to customers and parents but according to staff it isn't even real and never honored. They have cameras everywhere and she watches her staff from behind scenes and listens to customers. She was definitely listening to a conversation I had about brow tinting with my pedicurist because she later was trying to convince me to let her tint my brows. It was so strange They recently hired an excellent manicurist and pedicurist. He's EXCELLENT (tino) but it's only a matter of time that she will drive him away too so I'll wait for him to go somewhere else. It's clear they run a toxic environment. If their customers and staff can't stay committed that says a lot. I've been there a total of 6 times and every single time the lady is on top of everyone including her customers. Today was my 6th and my final visit there. I'm over it.
