I honestly wanted to like this salon because it's convenient but after coming here several times and trying different technicians I've just given up. I consistently get chips and dullness after a few days. I have to request cuticle trimming which should be standard (on two occasions they pulled out a cuticle trimmer from their drawer instead of getting a clean one from the sanitizer), have to ask to dry my nails well with alcohol before they start applying the gel because they make you wash your hands after the builder gel application and just start painting, and had to ask to apply the chrome all the way to the edge because she was rushing and missed a spot. The quality of products has declined that I might as well do my own nails at home if it's not even going to last a week and costing me nearly $200 with tip. I noticed one brand of top coat (silver bottle with long pink top) actually lasted and didn't lose shine, and requested they use that on this last set but they refused and said they don't use that brand anymore and only use a new brand in a white bottle which I feel is cheap and low quality. I've had a few sets with that "new" top coat that chipped after a few days or noticed the edges didn't cure properly. My thumb nail from my last set didn't cure properly and the gel lifted along the side edge and was wet underneath so I had to waste my time after work to go back to get it fixed, three days after getting it done. When I went back to get the thumb fixed I felt gaslit because they blamed it on my job (I use sanitizer often) but I've had many gel manicures in the past from other salons that last weeks without peeling or going dull. One set with the old good top coat lasted just fine two weeks without going dull despite using sanitizer often. This is obviously a quality of products and application issue. This latest chrome gel set I got lasted two days before chipping at the edge and the builder gel underneath wasn't a smooth application which I didn't notice at first until I got home. I got them for a wedding and now have janky looking nails for a formal event and have to find a salon last minute to fix it. When I brought it up with management today and requested a refund for just the manicure (I also got a pedicure and in total paid $178) I was given a disappointing response. I'm not going to inconvenience myself coming back to the salon a few days after every set because they have to fix it. The chrome alone costs an additional $20 EACH so for a matching manicure/pedicure I paid $40 additional for chrome. I could buy a multi-pack of chrome online for less than $10. I'm disappointed because I've consistently given them business going back every 2-3 weeks since August and feel like it's becoming a chop-shop. And instead of offering me a refund on just the manicure they want me to come back and waste more of my time. Sadly I will not be coming back. read more

Unfortunately, I really can't recommend the nail bar. Came here with a friend literally yesterday to get irregular French manicure because I didn't want to deal with gel and literally day two they have pretty much all chipped. Even after the service which was over an hour, I already noticed that the line was literally uneven. Add $35 for French, I just expected better. The place was clean in the atmosphere was nice, but really I don't exactly know what I have ended up paying for. Cannot recommend this place and will not be coming back. read more

I've been a regular at this salon for a long time and always bring at least 3 people with me. I also recommend this place to everyone I know. But today's experience left me extremely disappointed. I called the day before and made an appointment for 4 people, specifically requesting that we be seated together. I was told that wouldn't be a problem. But when we arrived, only 2 chairs were available, so 2 of us had to wait -- which completely defeated the purpose of booking ahead. All 3 of us got their most expensive pedicure package -- $100 with gel -- plus gel manicures. My issue isn't necessarily with how my nails turned out -- they were okay, though they could have been better -- but the service I received was terrible. My tech skipped steps, pulled on my cuticles, didn't check her work, and I had to ask her to fix things she missed. I even had to remind her to apply lotion to my hands, which should be a standard part of the service. The pedicure included a 20-minute massage. I was the last one to start, yet I finished first -- even my mom, who only got a basic pedicure with regular polish, finished after me. That felt really rushed and unfair. When I brought all this up to the manager, I calmly asked for a refund just for my own service. Instead of being understanding or apologetic, I was told it's all about "technique." I felt completely dismissed and disrespected. I've brought a lot of business to this salon and never complained before, but this experience was unacceptable. The staff were really accommodating in letting us sit together even though it was a busy night (shout out to the girl who was so kind to move her seat so we could sit together)! The color is pretty, a little bit different than on the tester (it seemed a little bit more black/blue than black/gray) but overall really happy with the manicure. I have to update my review. I cannot leave a 5-star review in good faith. When I first started coming here I was really excited and enjoyed it. I had a bad experience with my nails, but I let it go. A new nail tech to the Nail Bar did a terrible job on my nails. They were uneven, ugly, and looked like an amateur did them and I was extremely unhappy. Luckily, I told the team and Tammi redid my nails. I had to come back on a different day and it took 45 mins. Tammi did an amazing job and I left very satisfied with the fix, but it should have been done right from the beginning. Now, I came to get an ombre French manicure and my nail tech is kind and normally great, but she did not know how to use the airbrush machine. She wiped my nails countless times and restarted multiple times. Another nail tech came to help, without success. Then, the airbrush king came and basically redid my nails. I spent 2.5 hours getting a dip manicure - UNACCEPTABLE. It is really important to be aware of your abilities. If you cannot do something, then do not say that you can. A complete waste of my time and delayed me for work. The reason they do not deserve 5 stars is there is not a consistent skill set there. You do not know what you will get and it feels like a mixed bag. It's not a nail school, I do not want someone trying and learning on me. Very disappointed, I got my nails done Friday and by Monday I had 5 nails chipped, I let them Know what happened and they nice said come next day and I did. I told them I wasn't very happy becuase paying 80$ plus tip that was 20$ and their product that they use was bad. I used to love this Salon and I was going to Kim for SNS Dip manicures for almost a year. The salon itself is beautiful but my opinions changed last weekend. I was excited to bring my mom to this salon from visiting from out of town and brought her in for a SNS manicure and pedicure. Her pedicure was the worst thing she's ever experienced. She told me the gentleman doing her nails didn't even know how to correctly use a nail cutter (it's not even difficult) or a nipper. He couldn't cut the nail, clean or file correctly. What is the point of a pedicure if the tech can't even cut the nail? She was left with a crappy pedicure with mis shaped nails. She asked if it was his first day he responded yes, but he's worked elsewhere which is hard to believe. My mom has probably had over 200 pedicures in her life and she's never experienced anything like that. It's ridiculous that they charge full price for awful service from someone who was not properly trained. I decided to speak up for her as we left the salon and they had no response to my words. They proceeded with a call back and tried to tell me the "misunderstanding" was that they don't do ingrown. My mom understands thats the case, but that does not have anything to do with cutting the nail and receiving a decent service. The proceeded to follow up with a text and let me know she can come back for another pedicure but no refunds. I'm writing this one-star review due to my disappointing experience today. First, the receptionist lied to me, saying the lady who originally did my nails was off, which she wasn't. Upon arriving, the receptionist informed me that they couldn't do very detailed designs at the moment so asked for something simple ( Please see the photo I asked for). Despite this, I explained to the nail technician the design I wanted, and she assured me she could do it for $115, which was fine as long as my nails were perfect. I specifically wanted chrome nails, but the technician, knowing she had another appointment, tried to rush me by using metallic nail polish instead of chrome. This was dishonest and poor customer service. She then changed the price to $130. Additionally, she interrupted my session to attend to her other appointment. I drove an hour to get my nails done, and if they couldn't accommodate my design request, they should have told me upfront so I could have gone elsewhere. I left the salon with nails I didn't want, just to satisfy them. Moreover, I noticed a significant difference in her energy towards me compared to a Caucasian lady who was treated much more warmly, even being offered water. I will not be coming back... TO ADD TO YOUR REPSONSE... I am very amazed that you would respond back one month later and still decide to lie regarding my service here. Yes, your front desk receptionist did lie. I drove one hour away, and she told me the person I requested was not there, when in fact, she was. To say I was being rude is an insult, as I literally did not say anything to anyone there. If you knew you could not do the design I sent you, why have me come and rush me? I am so sad that I had such an awful experience. I really wanted this place to be my new nail salon because I was going into dc every three weeks and then I found something so much closer. They have great (but expensive) pedicures and Anna is really amazing with nails and designs. I booked an appointment with Anna over the phone a week in advance and after sitting through an hour long pedicure, a woman who was not Anna asked to start my manicure, I let her know that my appointment was with Anna but then a man (potentially the owner or manager) said that they had no record of me requesting her and she had another appointment. I did not want to have another person do my nails and I'm leaving town for my birthday (these were meant to be my birthday nails) but the man did not give me any other options besides leaving with my nails undone. I had an intricate design and so I, very reluctantly, let the other woman do my nails. I wanted almond and they were quite pointier than I'd like and she didn't go to the base of my nail bed so I'll have to get my nails done sooner but other than those issues, the nail itself is ok. Once she started on the design it was so unlike the picture that I had to stop her and ask that I just stick to my base nail color and leave. No one was apologetic at all and I am extremely upset with the lack of customer care. I was charged $120 in total for a gel pedicure and basic, plain dip manicure. I don't know if I'll be coming back and I don't think I'll recommend this place to any more people. read more
