Safety and professionalism should be the bare minimum, and this place failed on both.

John H. How long were you there before you noticed the concept is a bar with tables. There's no servers. Don't bitch because nobody waited on you. It's a laid back place ran through the bar with an extensive beer selection. Which means you have to be smart when you order as well. I'm sure your beer was a liter, but kegs are priced a high as $350 now a days for quality if you want to drink something of higher quality, so next time you go to a similar place get off your fat ass and order a $3 pint of Bud Light. I'm sure your friend in the band is embarrassed by your post. When you support a band you go spend money. You didn't help them by spending a whopping $8 and then bitching about it. Just stick to the dive bars like Last call that you are used to. Unfortunately they don't have servers either. read more

Security let a group of people steal the pool table I was actively playing on, scream in my face and call me slurs. They said there was nothing they could do about it bc they "had a full house". I confronted the people saying they couldn't do that. Security put their hands on me, removed me from the bar, didn't let me grab my belongings or even close my tab. I luckily grabbed my phone off the table while being pushed out. I was treated less than this group of cis white men. That security guard needs to lose his job tbh. I should have been allowed to grab my belongings and he should not have put his hands on me. Do not go here unless you want to be harassed by men/dehumanized, then told you should leave instead of the men. 0/10 I've been here multiple times and it's always a problem. read more

I went to monkey bar August 2021, and I did know that there is usually an admission charge for men. However, I was forcefully removed from premises on the basis of my sexual orientation. (only had one drink at the bar) That's a story for another day... In addition, many patrons do smoke cigarettes and cigars indoors, obviously mask wearing, social distancing, general cleanliness procedures were lacking during the pandemic. Finally, staff does a poor job of bussing tables and making sure that half eaten burgers, plates of chicken bones are put away. Its SUPER fun being on a dance floor with all of that going on. I really love this place. A great beer and drink selection, good food, fun staff, great bands as well as pool, video games and other things to do. The Giant Jenga game is sooooooo much fun with a few beers. I love the fact that they have lots of TVs and projector screens. I can get a good view from just about anywhere when a game is on. P.S.
