We saw The Midway on Bar Rescue. So, we thought we would give it a try. Jon Taffer would be very disappointed in the place. First you must show an ID just to get in. That's fine. Then they said we could sit anywhere. There were only 8 people in the whole place. It probably took 15 minutes before anyone came and asked us what we would like to drink. They then said I had to give them my credit card to hold if I wanted a cocktail. Unless you pay cash. I didn't have cash on me, so they kept my credit card the whole time we were there. I was not comfortable with that at all. I keep my card in a case that is RFID safe, so no one can scan my card. We ordered the Garlic burger and the Steak Burger. The menu said lettuce, tomatoes and onion come on the side. I asked about the Worcestershire seasoning. And the waitress said the burger was made with everything already on it. After about 40 minutes or longer. We finally got our food. The burgers were not good. They both looked like they were frozen patties. And both came with all the toppings put on it. So, if you didn't want onions you had to pick apart your burger. Mine tasted like it didn't have any seasoning on it at all. The garlic burger tasted like it had cheese in it. And it was ordered no cheese. When the bill came, I was surprised at the extra charges. It said it was $.49 for cheese. No problem. But then they charged me another $.49 for the seasoning that was supposed to be made in the hamburger anyway. The garlic burger was the same, $.49 for garlic seasoning. You would think a garlic burger would come with the garlic already on it and not be extra for it. When I ask the waitress about it, she said I don't know. I just work here. I don't know why they charge you extra for the seasoning. Went to use the bathroom and they had rags stuff around the fire sprinkler, to hold the tile in place. I guess it must have leaked. The ceiling tiles were all water stained. And about a foot out from the wall. You could look up into the rafters. There was just a grate across the back wall. All I could think of was I wonder how many cameras they have watching the women in the restrooms. Plus, the water was barely warm. If you don't have hot water, you can't wash your hands very good, and neither can the cooks. Anywhere is better than here. Bad service, food sucked, dirty, nasty bathrooms. The whole place looked dirty, which I would of thought it would still be clean after it's makeover. Guess Bill still doesn't know how to run a bar. You can tell by how run down it is. I won't be recommending this place or ever going back. It's disgusting. Only gave it a 1 star, because you have to give it at least 1. read more

Super country vibes but it's fun to play pool and darts with friends! Also the karaoke is the best set up I've seen in Utah so far. The food was delicious I got the wings and fried pickles and finished both plates. Super quick and timely service from wait staff and bartenders. read more

The service was great. Our waitress was super fun and attentive. We sat out on the patio which has an amazing view of the mountains. The sunset was pretty to watch. I would give a 1.5 stars. We waited at the door for a few minutes before we decided we were going to pick our own table. We picked a table that still had dirty dishes (hoping it wouldn't be long for someone to clean it) and the check on it. We finally sat down at this table, after staying by it for approximately 10 minutes. Once we were seated it wasn't long after that we were greeted and asked our drink requests (which was great!)! Then.. it was a downfall. We didn't get our drinks until another 20 minutes later after putting our requests in. Then she said she would come back for our order. She NEVER came back, we saw the only other waitress and requested nachos. The other waitress put it in, and another 30 minutes later we saw our original waitress.... and she came over to tell us that they were no longer serving nachos for the night but she didn't know why: We then requested wings and fries. We had to wait an additional hour for the food and another beer, but the wings were really good!! Lastly, we had to wait for our check as well, and our total time in this bar was 19:52-23:17 (absolutely RIDICULOUS). BUT!! I know it was not the waitress' fault nor was it the cooks fault. They did what they could, because their supervision wants to push and force them to overwork and fail to realize when they don't have the proper manpower to run a shift smoothly. read more

Drive by here almost every day, so we decided to stop by for a drink after dinner and finally try it out. Looked like a busy and fun night but the only open tables or seats had dirty dishes and we couldn't get any service so we left. As we walked out, one of their staff suggested we were leaving because we were "scared" of the clientele. Won't bother coming back. read more

I created an account simply to leave a review on this place. I have never felt the urge to leave a review till now. I don't even know where to begin. Highly disappointed and with that being said, me and my husband are very easy to please. Our "server" was Maya, I don't even know if her title is a server, but she was the one who was supposed to be helping us. After sitting at a high table right next to the main bar for almost 35 minutes she finally came over. She didn't greet us or even introduce herself she rudely got way to close in our personal bubble and with frustration requested our drink order. To me, I feel like our order was very simple. Maybe she is new and needs some intense training? I asked for a kettle one with soda and she insisted they didn't have kettle one even though I could see it full on the back counter, I knew they had kettle one because I saw a girl bartender keep using it. But okay I'll take titos.. anyways, Maya brings over our drinks after like 20 minutes which was frustrating considering we could see her talking to another server with our drinks on her tray in her hands. They came pretty watered down which I wasn't too upset about, but my husband was. I used the women's bathroom, the water was boiling hot to the point I could barely get the soap off my hands. Once I got back to my table and Maya had slowly made her way back over, I asked her what was wrong with the water temperature in the bathroom. She said I don't know our owners and management don't care at all me and all the other servers have been asking for that to be fixed for months. Also why are there dirty rags in the ceiling in the bathroom? Looks like they have been there for years, I can only imagine the bacteria that those rags are harvesting. We moved to the patio because we wanted to check out the firepits, Maya followed us outside and took our order again but she made it VERY clear she would be back to check on us so hopefully we wouldn't want to order with another server. The only bright side we had from our date night out at this place was the fact that Maya insisted she wouldn't ring in our shots and not charging us for our shots of tequila, she was sorry our food took so long and wanted to make it up to us which was appreciated. I'm sure she has a lot of potential, and I am sure she's new but they should have put her threw proper training before letting her free or maybe it was because it was a Saturday night. It was weird cause the amount on the receipt my husband was given vs the amount our account was charged was vastly different but I'm not complaining about that it saved us 32$. We would give this place another try in the future but we will probably sit at the bar or just ask for a different server which isn't a big deal. Best wings I've found in Utah, hands down (Sriracha Bourbon is definitely our favorite flavor). Yes, much better than trolley, wingstop, wing coop, bww and any other's I've forgotten. My wife and I have made it a weekly ritual to come on Wednesday for dinner because wings are 1/2 off and we just like hanging out at this place. Don't judge me, but on a few occasions I've eaten here for lunch and dinner on the same day.... It's quirky and attracts every kind of person you can imagine, so the people watching is A1, especially on a Wednesday night. There's a wall of dart boards, pool tables, projectors and tv's to watch sports, and sometimes we'll catch a bingo or karaoke night. The servers and employees have always been great to us, prices are fair, and I've always had an ice cold, frosted mug for my beer which is how it should always be.... Went in for lunch with my wife, it smelled bad like a kids play place at a fast food restaurant, the bartender Toni all tho very nice didn't seem to know what she was doing, wife ordered a Washington apple and she struggled to remember the recipe, not to mention she didn't know the gun setting as she had to first poor some in a glass and taste it so she knew what kinda drink it was, the proceeded to tell us how no one that works there cared so why should she, Food was really good, we ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap and fries, fries were a bit burnt but not unbearable, worst part was the bartender focused on her group of regulars and I had to ask 3 times if I could pay, she never took my card before hand so if I had poor moral character we could have left with out paying and they would have lost out on 100 dollars. New Name, same boring place. The VJ does not know how to keep the room lively. Lets mind drubbing suicidal song singers go on and on. I'm not above waiting for my turn, but I had to leave after the tenth in a row person who sang a song that made me want to stick a fork in my ear. Try mixing it up by songs. Maybe one or two slow songs an hour, not just because they want to sing. Let them know there will only be one or two slow songs an hour. Liven up the place, you'll get more customers. The Midway is an odd place. The bar has changed its name a couple times now in the past couple years with very minor changes. The bar itself is clean, plenty of tables for seating. It also has a large patio with more tables and TVs outside. The over all circus theme to the bar was a little weird to be honest, but once you appreciate everything else, the theme is last in your mind. The service was awesome. I forgot the lead bartender's name but he's there every weekend and always takes care of customers. On our visit tonight, Christella was our server and she was great. Very nice and friendly, and everything from our food to drinks came out perfect. Side note, she looks like Velma from Scooby Doo so sit in her section for great service. We ordered the cheese fries, nachos, and had an order of wings, and all the food was great. The bar had 3 pool tables, and more throwing dart games than any other bar in Utah that I've seen. Thought I'd try this place for a bite to eat, a couple beers, and watch some football. The pictures showed lots of TVs, and they do have lots of TVs, so I figured it would work. It's bowl season, and there were 3 games being played that night. 4 TVs over the bar. 1 was showing a game. 1 was showing a sports talk show channel, i.e. 4 guys sitting behind a desk presumably TALKING about football, with no sound, of course. 1 was showing some car building reality drama bullshit. And the 4th TV was showing the error page for the satellite dish. Nobody working at the bar payed any attention whatsoever to what was actually on their TVs. Come on guys, this is Bar 101. What is the point of spending all that money on flatscreens if you aren't even going to pay attention to what is on them? The Midway is the spot to go! Bone in Wings on Wednesdays are amazing and if you haven't tried a Mish Mash Pile you deff should! One of the special things not yet on the menu but if you like fries with queso them you will love adding sweet chili sauce on to them also. Owned by a Raider for Raiders and EVERYONE else, this place makes you feel welcome any day of the week! The service can be iffy depending on how busy it is but I know they are working hard to get to every single person. My friends and I literally do every wednesday and now whichever day the Raiders are playing for football. Come down enjoy some great food, better company, and food service. read more

Was sitting in the parking lot after playing laser tag next door and just kept seeing several people walk in so we decided to see what was going on. The only thing I didnt like about this place was the lights were so bright. Kinda weird for a bar to have all the lights on. We played darts and pool soo much fun!!! This place is pretty nice inside. It's very open and plenty of sitting both inside and on the patio. Patio is also heated with those torches. I've mostly only drank here but i did enjoy a plate of cheese fries which were delicious. The one thing I'll have to warn about is pretty serious though. I've sat at the bar 3 times and at 3 different sides of the bar top and.... well it has the stench of throw up... and that was weeks apart so I'm not sure what's going on. I think it could be uncleanliness behind the bar and water etc but who knows. Just order a bottled beer and sit at a table lol. Plenty of karaoke there too. read more

I've been going to this bar since Bill bought Scofy's. Followed him over from F & J. I like Bill and Karaoke. The food has been hit and miss. I went on 11/11/19. The name changed from The Union to Midway. Whatever! Service was horrible. Took almost an hour to get our food. After notifying the bartender that we wanted a second drink, it took 15 minutes for her to get back to us. (Bar was not busy). She apologized, but it doesn't change the fact we come to a bar to watch MNF, eat and drink. If you can't get food and drinks in a reasonable amount of time, its time to move on. We left early. I'm almost to the last time I will support Bill. Bill if you read this, you don't need a name change or theme change, you need service and food standards. read more

Horrible experience there! Very unsafe enviroment! The bouncer should be fired. I witness some young adults celebrating a birthday when another patron started saying offensive things towards some one in their party. Regardless of who is at fault the bouncer allowed them to keep harrasing and threatening him. Bad business and shame on you bouncer for not handling the situation safely (bouncers job, i thought.) He continued to let the perpetrator advance towards the victim and continued to provoke him. BAD! Fire him! read more

The sign outside boasts "hand crafted" menu items. Sounded like a good place to try for lunch. We ordered a couple of things: Fish and Chips and a bowl of soup. The fish was frozen not freshly battered as expected. The soup was a "sausage" soup. Sounded interesting . . . then it arrived. The soup looked like congealed gravy, I tired it, and it was tasty, but too rich. I ate half of it. They need a menu warning: This item contains MSG. I am allergic to monosodium glutemate and had reaction that ruined my entire night and into the morning. "Hand crafted" menu items typically indicates fresh food. It was a poor experience. My first time here, my friends asked me to attend their Halloween After Party. I arrived and there was karaoke, which I love to do. The atmosphere is fun and the stage for karaoke was huge and I enjoyed the karaoke. However, the service was non existent! I sat at a table from the moment I walked in until the moment I left without even seeing a cocktail server. I ordered one drink from this bar and that was about it. If I ever plan to come back, I hope these things are resolved and I can return to enjoy a great time instead of leave with a bad one. read more
