We started with 2 bread types, carrots, cauliflower, grapes, apples, and the gruyere. Next were all four proteins: steak, chicken shrimp, and a vegan ravioli. We had a choice of 4 ways to cook them (they were all well seasoned), and chose the Mojo. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FANTABULOUS!!!!!! Of course there was dessert, with a white chocolate sauce and wee strawberries floating in it. Oreo covered marshmallows, strawberries, and I can't recall what else. 3.5 Stars What a fun experience! I loved the variety of proteins, dips, and sauces there were on the menu (there is even pretty exotic choices like duck and salmon for protein). It is pricey - but it's worth the experience in my opinion. $160 for a 4 course meal for two - and it is a LOT OF FOOD. You get a cheese fondue, a salad, a main entree (proteins with hot pot style broth to cook), and a chocolate fondue for desert. All the fondues (cheese, broth, and chocolate) are delicious. My only qualms are I think the quality of the "dippers" could be better (like they could have least tasted the bread cubes), and omg, I ate so much raw meat because I had no idea how long to place some of the cubes in for lol. There are instructions but I was too lazy to read those. RYAN is the best - he is so polite and friendly. He even brought out glasses of champagne to celebrate a birthday! We went for happy hour -- service was great, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, even offering gluten-free options without an upcharge, which is rare and appreciated. We ordered one cheese and one dessert fondue. The dipping options included bread, veggies, and fruit. The cheese fondue uses pre-shredded cheese with anti-caking powder all over it. I also had a cocktail, which was very sweet -- and most of the drink menu seemed to lean that way rather than offering craft-style cocktails. Restaurant Week is still going strong, and we were so excited to finally try The Melting Pot. My kids absolutely loved the hands-on experience--from appetizers to dinner to dessert--it made the whole meal much more fun. We originally didn't plan on getting dessert since they served us so much delicious protein that we couldn't finish it all. But in the end, we gave in--and wow, it was worth it! My daughter is already asking to come back for her birthday! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making sure we had everything we needed. And even though the restaurant was packed when we left, the booths made it feel cozy and private. Finally tried The Melting Pot during the 2025 Inlander Week Event! The food and drinks were a 10/10, absolutely delicious with no complaints. Cooking at the table made it interactive and fun, perfect for families or date nights. Spokane needs more spots like this! Common guys!!! Excited to come back and try their regular vegan menu. Wish more restaurants here offered one, shoutout to Twigs Bistro for having one! Plenty of tasty mocktails too. I had the blackberry citrus one, which reminded me of Clinkerdagger's drinks. Welcome to the "Melting Wallet!" I am begging you: get a $40 fondue pot. Buy $20 worth of cheese, a loaf of good bread and a solid bottle of dry white wine and do this yourself!! There are a number of recipes online. It will be better, it will be on your own timeline, and you will pat yourself on the back knowing that an up-charge of several hundred dollars for food that you will cook yourself at the table anyway is highway robbery. You'll smile, knowing that a three hour+ siege waiting for the next uninspired course forever is not relaxing or a fun time. The servers are bored. The ambiance is less "elegant romance" and more "corporate IKEA art with bright track lighting." The only single reason that I went back here was for a dear friend who was intrigued by the vegan menu. And I get it: there aren't too many vegan options in our awesome town. But it isn't butter, nor a decent swap. It isn't worth it. It's fake chocolate that will seize in the pot, a selection of dippers that will make you reach for your neighbor's normal plate of vegetarian items, and you will be wondering why Taco Bell sounds so good while you're sitting there regretting the overdressed wilted salad course for $9 a pop. For a salad. Yeah: a tiny salad. Not romantic. Not a good choice for prom couples if they ever want to make it to the dance. Not a good idea unless you like heavy marketing even BEFORE you arrive for your reservation: these guys called me the day before to try to get me to pre-buy a freaking squishmallow for my "special event." Went out to melting pot on a double date to celebrate and had an amazing experience at the melting pot. It was my first time there and I wasn't entirely sure of what to expect. We were there for almost 2 hours for a 4 course dinner that (with some drinks) cost about $260 for 2. The cheese, broth and chocolate fondue are assembled right in front of you which was very cool. The little hot pad in the middle of the table keeps the kettle hot and melts the cheese/chocolate and keeps the broth hot enough to cook the proteins. There are so many options of proteins and cheese. Can't go wrong with any of them!! What to say. This was our 1st time there. We waited 15 minutes at least for our server after being seated. Even then, I had to stare at the bartender, who then radioed "who has table (x)". After that came empty drinks that sat there while our server walked past them 2 different times. We then waited for our salads for what seemed like forever. After that, they took another 30 mins to bring our uncooked food, so that we could then cook it. There was not much communication whatsoever, we were sat in the bar section, with barely anyone in there. After seeing a ton of new customers come in, & be escorted down the hall, we then took a peek & saw that there was actual people in there, seated in a more lively section. I'm not sure what took so long, but we were there for 2 hrs & 15 minutes tota(this is with making a reservation). Two people, over $200, & one of the worst experiences ever. **ATTENTION RECOVERING ALCOHOLICS** My review is primarily directed toward anyone in recovery, from new to old. First off, I have to say, our experience here was amazing. Our waiter, Jefferson, was attentive and friendly. The food was wonderful, and the experience was fun. It was a little pricey, but we expected that. So now what I came to say...I am a recovering alcoholic and I have...or did have, 3 proud years sober. Anyone in my shoes knows how hard we have fought to get, and stay here. It's a really big deal to us, our friends, family, and fellow addicts. That being said, when our food was being presented to us it was explained that many of the dips and such are cooked in beer or wine. That was a huge concern for me. I asked many times if the pot will cook the alcohol out of the dish and I was reassured many times that yes, at the temperature they get to, it will be cooked out. I should have stopped right there and left, but we were already into the meal. The food tasted great and I didn't have any alerts until we were leaving. That old familiar feeling of the dark cloud was coming back. I blew it off and chalked it up to a food coma, until I woke up today. I got to work and everything I was told in recovery started to come true. The second a sober alcoholic takes their first drink in a relapse, it all starts over again. With 3 years under my belt, this is something I hardly ever think about anymore. But today, I have the dry headache, the shakes, the numbness...all of it. I am proficiently HUNG OVER. I am putting this up here, not to discourage people from the dinning experience, because we loved ours, but for fellow alcoholics to understand...this food is not an option for us. Even though whatever alcohol is in it is probably in such a small amount, a normal person would never know. But for us, our bodies do. Im sure a lot of haters will comment on this and people will argue that there was no alcohol in what we ate, but I can assure you, I KNOW when I feed alcohol to my body. I previously wrote a review in which I had some issues with the additional surcharge on the menu for select entrees which I was not aware there was. Within hours of posting my review, I was contacted by Kim Silva the owner. Kim requested I contact her, which I did, adding our server's name as she did an amazing job and I felt Kim probably wanted to acknowledge her. This was not the case though. Kim wanted to know when we had dined and more information about our experience, which I then shared with her. Kim was kind enough to send me a picture of the menu and our bill, along with explaining our bill clearly. I was also informed the menu has been changed with no surcharges to prevent confusion to their patrons. She apologized for things not being explained more clearly by the staff. She graciously invited us back for a complimentary "treat", which I thought was very kind. I was amazed at how quickly Kim reached out and her eagerness to make things right. I would also like to say that our dinner was $167.00 plus tip and not the $187.00 plus tip in my original post. My mistake, which I wish to clarify. The Melting Pot has delicious food as previously stated, but also an on hands owner who does her best to make sure her clientele is happy. Definitely a winning combination in my book! Then choice of cheese fondue with double dipping toppings. Followed by 4 choices of salad. Then the ultimate celebration entree: lobster tail, marinated teriyaki steak, chicken breast and scrimps. Came her to celebrate my birthday with my family (group of 6 total). We were all really excited, but the feeling was quickly tempered. First off, the wait staff did a poor job of explaining how the menu and pricing worked. Then, after asking questions about the menu structure and figuring out our order, even confirming the price, they still disregard our order. We were brought drinks and food we never ordered and the wrong food items. The wait staff would drop them off and completely ignore our comments about the mistake or deflect before disappearing. Secondly or to reiterate, the wait staff seemed to ignore our table. They would drop off cook pans or clear our table and then disappear for half an hour before returning. It took us an entire hour to receive a new water glass after taking it away with the salad course, we asked for a new one 3 times. We were told that the experience would take about 2-2.5 hours. We were there for about 3.5 hours. Half of us were current or previous long-term fine dining workers and were appalled with the service. We were only listened to at the end of our meal, when the employee finally brought a manager. Not even a minute into talking to the manager did the. fire alarm go off and we evacuated with the staff. By that time, we had been at the resteraunt for over 3 hours and were tired. We We seriously contemplated just ditching due to the service with about half of the other patrons but stayed and paid our bill. The manager took off the extra protein portion from our bill but we still ended up paying for the other extra items we did not order. All in all, for 6 people, it cost an exorbitant amount to eat here. I'm curious as to why it is so expensive when the patrons are cooking all the food themselves and the food was more. We did the 4 course for 2 and the cheese was nice, but We both thought the bread was stale and it was pretty sad. Meat options are good. Sadly disappointed. Came with a group of 4 friends and we split all the dishes to save money. It still came out to $341. We knew it would be pricey but the portions were offensively small and the meats did not taste expensive. Nothing seemed to be marinated or seasoned. The sauces were ok. Came here for a beer and food pairing. So a few of the local breweries were having a face off. So we got a tasting of two beers with each meal and we scored them accordingly. The place was a little noisier than expected, but it was a Friday, so I suppose that was normal. We were seated pretty quick as we had a reservation. Our waiter and waitresses were attentive and came around just when we needed them to clear plates and ready for the next course. Once again, there was so much food! I enjoyed as much as I could, especially the dessert round with rice crispy treats, apples, oreo cookies, marshmallows, etc to dip in the chocolate. We were quickly seated but from seating to leaving It took so long, we thought we might end up celebrating our 25th anniversary too.
