I found this place here and was not impressed, and it's based on one visit but I'm not going back. I came here for my lunch break and there was not a lot of ppl there. I ordered one chicken wrap and it took like 20 minutes to make me something that might take 5 minutes. It seemed they had like 20 orders for delivery and that was priority. I called in and ordered what was on their menu photos which was an option for either beef/chicken koobideh wrap. When I picked up my food and saw it wasn't chicken. I called and spoke to the owner that said he would only be able to remake the food. Although I told him that I wouldn't be returning due to the fact that I do not reside in the area, that I was there for work purposes. And that I would like a refund. He said that he would not be able to do so. I offered to send him a photo of the menu that is from his establishment, he stated that yelp is not his website and that it's not in his control. If he was a better businessman and cared about his customers, he would check to make sure that the information on yelp is accurate, to ensure customer satisfaction. If what I ordered wasn't something they did not have, then the person answering the phone should have advised me. I clearly stated I wanted the "chicken koobideh wrap" and she repeated "chicken" and I said yes. I will be disputing this transaction with my financial institution. First time at this place. When the cashier girl tells you to wait outside and she'll bring your food out when it's ready, don't believe her. I waited outside for a while until I decide to see what the hold up was. Food had been ready and waiting on the counter getting cold. When I asked her why she didn't bring it out like she said she would her reply was "I was bagging it". Food had been on the counter for a while. She could see me outside waiting. Ordered delivery and it was very late, called them twice to be lied to about when the food would arrive kind of late. The food itself, always the most important, was slightly less than mediocre and not quite awful but definitely not good and basically on par with the delivery. Had it been on time, my rating would have been the same based on the food. The yogurt dip had way too much dill in it and both the chicken and beef kabobs were lacking in flavor. I recently started working in the Commerce area and I love Mediterranean food since I was an infant ! It's always been around in my family because of my fathers boss ethnicity! I was recommended here by my co-workers and man I did not hesitate to try it ! It is so good just the right seasoning and texture! Great service and great food! My daughter and I went this afternoon after a few mothers from my daughter's team were raving about the food. We met the owners and their 2 sons and they were all very friendly and hospitable and made us feel very welcomed. We ordered the beef kabob plate with a side of chicken kabobs which was more than enough food for the both of us. They were also very generous and offered us some hummus and pita, which my daughter quickly gobbled up. This is an excellent Mediterranean kitchen. It's a real gem of Commerce. Everything is fresh, full of taste, hearty & healthy! Their Hummus is excellent so is their lentil soup and salads. As I'm a vegetarian i can't recommend the meat dishes, but they look delicious...very clean kitchen and seating area. This is a true authentic family restaurant ran by the family. I've eaten at this place four times already. In peak lunch hour it took 30-40 minutes to get me my chicken kabob plate several times. This is way too long compared to other mediterranean restos in the area. Besides the delay in bringing food, the proportion of chicken to everything else on the plate is embarrassing. Four pieces of chicken kabobs, on a bed of rice that makes up 80% of the plate itself, a salad that did not taste good with the Tajin (who said that Tajin is mediterranean? it's mexican for god sake and it does not taste good on a med salad), a grilled tomato and jalopeno. I call this a rice plate (cheap filler). Not even a yogurt or garlic dip was provided (you have to order those separate). The owner/manager passes by and asks whether everything is ok, which is nice, but dude no one is going to tell you all this detail in your face. Middle eastern kitchen is supposed to be a rich kitchen and not poor and stingy like this. I am a middle eastern myself, I know my food, and will not go to this place anymore. read more

Ordered myself a take out of the beef kabob plate around 2pm. Not too busy when I walked in as I was the only person in line and I only saw one person in the kitchen. I came for a late lunch to get a faster service on a slow traffic but unfortunately, my wait time was not good here (mind you I was on an hour lunch break and I had drove and waited at least 15-20min on a take out for just one order of plate). Proportion was minimal compare to other Mediterranean places I've been to. Meat was great, but I'm unsatisfied with proportion, which brings me to how the cost also is unreasonable. I can get more of the food with the same quality at a lower price with more sauces. I probably won't come back because of wait time even if I was just there for lunch/dinner on a non work day.
