I paid an extra fee for disposal because I didn't have time to remove my old mattress and box myself. The website gave no instruction that items needed to be bagged as shown in the attached screenshot. When the delivery team arrived, they refused to take them because they were not in disposal bags from the store--bags I was never told about. They left my old mattress and box standing upright against the wall, creating a clear safety hazard in my home. I had no choice but to let them leave and then contacted customer service. Somehow, I was connected to staff at The Brick store at 565 W Hunt Club Rd, Ottawa. The store staff told me the disposal fee would be refunded but that pickup could no longer be arranged. Instead of addressing the discrepancy between the website and the delivery team, she told me to "just google someone" to pick it up. Her tone was dismissive and unprofessional, and her comment was insulting. I called to solve one problem, but her behavior created a second problem. Later, my wife was told the disposal would be rescheduled and the delivery fee waived, but this still did not address the wasted time, the extra work of driving to the store to get disposal bags and wrapping the items myself, or the unprofessional conduct of the customer service agent--none of which matched the information on the website. I requested escalation. The store manager called me but said he couldn't address the customer service issue because the customer service manager was on vacation. He also said the store was not responsible for the discrepancy between the website information and the delivery team's instructions. There was no effort to take responsibility or provide a meaningful solution. Both the original service failure and the poor handling of the situation remain unresolved. I also tried using The Brick's online chat. They created a ticket and told me I would be contacted within 48 hours. It has now been well over 48 hours (including business hours), and no one has contacted me. This has been a deeply disappointing experience, and I do not believe customers should be treated this way.

The appliance was delivered at 5.30am by a very intimidating man who refused to unpack it or lift it onto the kitchen counter. I am a 60+ year old woman and was alone in the house. His parting comment was thar he expected a positive review of the service. Universal Appliance was totally disinterested in my experience. 5.30am was dark (it was Winter), obviously, I was still in bed, clearly not expecting a delivery. I struggled to lift the appliance and had to ask a neighbour for help. Universal Appliance had said that instillation was covered by the additional cost but were dismissive of my experience. The experience was, quite frankly both disturbing and threatening. I have bought an Aga stove and the Sharp multi function microwave from this company. I will never patronize them again.

    DO NOT BUY FROM CANADIAN APPLIANCE SOURCE…read more I usually avoid negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about CAS and their delivery company, First Class Appliance Delivery. The delivery service was highly unprofessional. They lied about the time window (we waited outside in the cold for over half an hour), the delivery staff appeared not to be fully lucid (they were fumbling and falling over), and they damaged both the product and my home. Despite having all the correct paperwork and photo evidence, they refused my claim for compensation. By the time I jumped through their various bureaucratic hoops and paperwork, they said it was too late because I didn't tell them on the day of the delivery (I have phone and paper records to prove that I did). They used the fact that they're two different companies (CAS and First Class Appliance Delivery) to offer contradictory advice, so when I followed the guidance of CAS, the delivery company said it was incorrect and used it to deny compensation. Their policies are designed to limit their liability, not to provide customer service. Their customer service staff are trained to sound nice while refusing to help you. Wishing you all better luck in your appliance purchases. May the people who work at these companies one day improve their services.

We purchased three SAMSUNG units - one of which was the SAMSUNG Over The Range (OTR) microwave (Model ME11A7710DS). We received the delivery in NOV 2025 and we installed the OTR later in December as we were doing a kitchen reno. Our problem with the OTR is that the function panel is not clearly visible despite it being a "Back Lit" screen. The panel is black and the function panel is a very dark grey - almost invisible. We thought that there was a protective covering over the display panel - there was not. We contacted Corbeil and their return/exchange policy is seven days. We called SAMSUNG and they have a fourteen-day return/exchange policy so we are not able to exchange the OTR for a better model. We checked other reviews on this model (see Best Buy). All complaints are the same - the display panel is poor. In my opinion, it is also not safe as the keypad and prompts are not visible. BUYER BEWARE - do your homework before buying the SAMSUNG Over The Range (OTR) microwave (Model ME11A7710DS)!

    I was working on a home project building a self watering above ground planter. I was installing a…read moremetal frame on one side that would be against the house and would not be accessible once installed. This would be used to attach a fence for plants to crawl up on. However I needed to drill some holes in the metal to connect the pieces. The drill bits I had worked great with wood but would not pierce through this metal and was in fact dulling the bits after I had recently sharpened them. Doing some research on the internet I learned that the best bits for metal were cobalt drill bits. I checked my local stores like Canadian Tire and Rona but they did not have them. I found some on Amazon but it would take a few days for delivery. Then I found Lowes had them in stock in their store. So I ordered some for pickup around 5 PM. The next day by 9AM I received an email saying they were ready for pickup. I shot down there right away and received very pleasant service from the Pick up clerk/cashier and left a very happy customer. Arriving home I was very anxious to use these bits to see if they could perform. They cut through the metal like butter and gave me a great sense of accomplishment in both the job I was doing and using a good high quality product made by DeWalt.
