I went to Lowes with a specific washer in mind,to purchase but the Sales man (Rocco)told me they…read moredid not have it in stock&showed me another&I agreed to purchase that; Whirl pool top loading washer 4.4 WHICH WHIRL POOL STATES SHOULD LAST 10-13 YRS....3 MONTHS&3WEEKS LATER(JULY 8)this washing machine stops functioning... It will not drain &would stop in wash cycle; I approach the Manager who says to me"are you sure an electrical storm wasnt the cause of the control panel being fried"???? I did not get any help whatsoever! I was treated very poorly by this manager! Anyways..the repair man tells me after replacing the main control board, that the motor is rusted out!!!Are you kidding me??? I have been waiting 3 weeks for repairs to be completed&was told that they're still waiting for a motor!!! Thats right!!no washer for over 2 months!!! Seems fishy to me that a brand new WHIRL POOL washing machine's control panel&motor both were garbage!!!i In less than 4 months!!?? Apparently Lowes re stocks with returned merchandise! COULD I HAVE GOTTEN A RETURNED ITEM??? Iwent today &spoke to another Manager (pat)who was much nicer about it; He doesnt understand how i got such a bad washing machine&i asked if maybe they had sold me this washer by mistake? Perhaps it was a return &given to me by mistake??? He also stated that he didnt understand why my washer wasnt exchanged UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES! HE IS GOING TO CONTACT JAMIE WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE APPLIANCES @LOWES&GET REP INFO... HE THINKS I SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED ANOTHER WASHER SINCE 2 MAJOR COMPONENTS WERE AFFECTED! I AM TO CONTACT LOWES TUESDAY SEPT 6TH TO GET RESULTS/ANSWERS. I WILL POST AN UP DATE NEXT WEEK... MEANWHILE WERE DOING OUR LAUNDRY@FREINDS&FAMILY.

I was working on a home project building a self watering above ground planter. I was installing a…read moremetal frame on one side that would be against the house and would not be accessible once installed. This would be used to attach a fence for plants to crawl up on. However I needed to drill some holes in the metal to connect the pieces. The drill bits I had worked great with wood but would not pierce through this metal and was in fact dulling the bits after I had recently sharpened them. Doing some research on the internet I learned that the best bits for metal were cobalt drill bits. I checked my local stores like Canadian Tire and Rona but they did not have them. I found some on Amazon but it would take a few days for delivery. Then I found Lowes had them in stock in their store. So I ordered some for pickup around 5 PM. The next day by 9AM I received an email saying they were ready for pickup. I shot down there right away and received very pleasant service from the Pick up clerk/cashier and left a very happy customer. Arriving home I was very anxious to use these bits to see if they could perform. They cut through the metal like butter and gave me a great sense of accomplishment in both the job I was doing and using a good high quality product made by DeWalt. **Warning** Do not hire Home Depot for toilet or other product installations. They will not take…read morecare of property damage if the installation goes wrong!!! I hired the Home Depot to install a new toilet in November 2023. The home depot sub contracts toilet installs to another company (Quick Contractors). They sent a guy with no experience to install the toilet. The installer installed the toilet incorrectly and on an angle. The toilet leaked and caused thousands of damage to the floor and ceiling below. I have been given the run around from Home Depot and Quick Contractors to repair the damage. These two big companies decided to pass off all responsibility to the installers private insurance who has been ignoring my emails and calls. I have informed both companies there has been no progress or resolution in site. The contractors private insurance has claimed they have not accepted fault for the damage yet, even though it has been made clear the installer was at fault. A 2nd installer was sent out from Quick Contractors to reinstall the toilet and report back on what caused the damage. The 2nd installer clearly stated the leak was from improper installation and took pictures. Attached are photos of the toilet installed on an angle and the water leaking out of the base soaking a drop cloth. If you think hiring a big company like Home Depot will have your back with any warranty issues think again. My house is supposed to be on the market for sale but will be delayed until the repairs are final.
