Always on the lookout for good brunch venues, we thought we'd give The Marlborough a try. Despite arriving 20 minutes early, they graciously guided us to our table, where we then waited another 20 minutes for our friend, who had been held up in traffic, to arrive.
There's a good choice of options in the veggie range, and I had trouble deciding whether to go for the sourdough avocado toast, probably with the added smoked salmon, asparagus and poached egg option, or the vegan breakfast. I eventually decided on the vegan breakfast - with a poached egg in place of the fried tomato (I'm not a fan).
Herself chose the croque vegetarian, and our chum opted for the aforementioned sourdough avocado toast with extras, which looked equally good.
The place filled up pretty quickly as we ate, but the staff remained on top of things and were friendly and helpful with our alternative choices!
Overall, a very nice brunch; we all agreed that we'll happily eat here again. read more
