We have been talking about going to the Marc for years. We finally got to make this happen for Valentine's Day this year. And I'm so glad we did. We had made a reservation far in advance as it was for valentines night. We were seated promptly and I got a corner table as requested, Thank you! The staff were all very attentive, pleasant and friendly, and never lingered too long. The restaurant was warmly lit and was mostly quiet but had some lovely relaxing/romantic music playing. I ordered a lovely glass wine, which turned into a second glass, closer to dessert and hubs had a fancy non-alcoholic drink he liked. The menu was a prix fix but I was pleasantly surprised with our options. There were 3 choices for each course. Our first course, Hubs ordered the Bibb salad with chicken skin croutons, such a unique and delicious idea. I had the pork rillette, which was like an amazing pate, with apricot gelee, mustard and crisp bread. This was absolutely incredible. Our second course, hubs had the duck with lentils and endive, every bite was simply divine. I had the steak with mushrooms, peas and asparagus, the sauce for this was amazing and the steak was so incredibly tender. Third course was dessert, hubs had the chocolate cake, which he said was very good. I had the "cereal milk" panna cotta. This dish was the hit of the night, so many components from the berries to earl grey tea gelee to the cornflake tuile. Nothing in this dish was overly sweet as may desserts are, but they all worked so brilliantly together in each bite. I could not stop eating it. The courses all came at perfect intervals, with enough time in between for you to want the next course. I often feel rushed at most restaurants, this was a lovely change. They were also perfectly portioned, so you have room for all three courses, unlike so many other restaurants. My biggest complement was that each dish I tasted was not only delicious, there was an intellectual component, and each bite made me think about each ingredient and how they worked together. I have never been to a Micheline star restaurant, I personally think these dishes would fit right in. Well done chef! read more

I have no idea hoe there is a 4.7 rating... maybe diners have not tried other establishments in the City. We wanted to take friends out for a nice dinner.. booking the day prior, most establishments had no availability... The Marc did. It's been 4 years since we last ate here... The red flags maybe should have popped up when we entered to an almost empty restaurant. SO to start... The Burrata was fine, not great.. just average (Try Pip for a really good Burrata) The Market Cheese for $14.00 is a complete joke. At least we thought it was.. you get 1 slice of cheese and 3 pieces of bread. The 4 of us looked at the waitress when she put it down thinking they made an error.. but no.. it is a $14.00 slice of cheese. The steak Tartare was decent. Their take is heavy on pickles but it is fine.. if you are looking for a less "tangy" tartare, skip as this is pickle and caper forward. The steak.. you would do better at Chop, Keg, Cactus Club or a variety of other places... thin, little flavour but ohhh the grill marks. My wife had chicken... it was chicken stacked on some beans etc. Not bad.. just chicken .. sauce was good but not "fine dining" The duck.... OMG the duck... my friend has never had duck so I convinced him to order it, He ordered Med and I ordered Med Rare... Both came out as 2 pieces each of Grey wet skinned, Medium (over) meat with a couple crispy wedges of overdone (Hard on the bottom) tomato polenta. The "Sauce Moutard" .... Well.... Maybe look online for a recipe.. Needless to say, my friend's 1st duck experience was sub par.. So for $500.00 (4 cocktails and wine were $150 of that), there are sooo many other establishments in Edmonton to select from... but you may have to book in advance. We could have taken them to Cactus CLub and had a better meal for less... Dissatisfied to say the least. read more

It finally happened. It seems the new owners waited a while before making changes but now things are evolving. The previous charming staff seem to have been replaced by generic younger and trendier models. The menu is expanded and modified. My wife always orders the char. This has gone from seared and cooked through to simply seared and raw - a common trend that the classier the restaurant the less they cook the fish. Arrived on a Friday evening for a 7 pm sitting, reservations in hand. My date ordered the duck breast and I had entrecôte and fries, or ribeye steak. He chose a glass of red wine, and I ordered a cider. I thought the food was ok, but not impressive enough to match the impressive price. My ribeye was very fatty, and sinu-ey. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to finish a 10 oz steak, but after cutting off all the gristly parts, I had no trouble. The fries were good, but perhaps I'd read too many rave reviews, and my expectations were too high. They were good. My date's duck, ordered medium rare was cooked appropriately, and he very much enjoyed the fried polenta that accompanied it. For dessert we ordered beignets to go. It's the French Olive Garden. Overcooked, cheaply sourced proteins airdropped onto the default house garniture, drowned in over-beurred sauces and dressed up with just enough presentation to feign finesse. I had the Arctic Char, which was somehow both overdone and cold, a culinary paradox I didn't know was possible. My wife ordered the Braised Beef Short Rib, which ate more like a Chuck Roast forgotten in a slow cooker. To their credit, the service was good. We told our server that neither of us was really enjoying the meal and figured we'd just pack it up and head out. He came back a moment later to let us know they had only one take-out container left and asked if it was okay to mash both meals into it. The three of us shared a chuckle because, in that moment, he quietly acknowledged what we were all thinking: this place is trying hard to be something it's not, and we were all just playing along. read more

One of my favourite places for a meal downtown. Their arctic char is always perfectly cooked and when they have duck on the menu that is always a good choice. Last week we had the special croquettes which were arancini and both my friend and I ordered the artic char. Nice hearty meal for a cold rainy #yeg day but not too filling. I packed some of mine home so I could eat the beignets! These are my favourite! The chocolate cake is great too! We sat at the bar and this was a great place to enjoy our meal and chat with the bar tender. It was also fun watching her make all the drinks! They are celebrating their 13 year anniversary so if you haven't gone yet go and check it out! They also have specials of champagne and fries until October 19! Cheers! read more

We ordered the scallop appetizer ($28) to share . The offering was so small that one hardly knew one was eating a scallop. The cauliflower was so thin and small it looked like lace work . Shocking to pay $28 for that . Servings of the main entree- braised beef Merlot - pureed potatoes - sugh a small amount, then glazed mushrooms- hardly visible - maybe 3 very small round slices of carrots . The braised beef and sauce were delicious - wonderful flavour . The coffee cup has hardly half filled. Desserts- again servings so small . I first visited the Marc in 2014 and it still is one of the best places (for dinner, special occasions, etc.) in Edmonton. The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere. The servers are nice and knowledgeable. In terms of food, their escargot and tartare are quite interesting. For entrees, their steak is definitely worth getting. I'd give them 9.3/10. read more

Well... Not even sure where to start with this, but I'm seriously disappointed. Let me start by saying the food was amazing, as always. Service from our server, top notch. The tartare was perfect, and the duck is 10/10! But that's to be expected. However, their manager (assuming that's his position based on the interactions I witnessed) must not want people to dine here. Or come back, or tell anyone to come too for that matter. Quite possibly the most uninviting and coldest "host" I've ever encountered. So bad, I will likely not return. Ambience was strange, I could feel the tension in the room (my dining neighbours could also feel it). And not sure what's up with the music, but it certainly was the kind of tunes you'd hear in a food court to avoid loitering. The Marc is a French restaurant in downtown Edmonton. Make sure you make a reservation if you're planning to go as it can get packed in here. The decor is modern and sleek. I will say the service I had was top notch, everything from topping off my drink to bringing the proper cutlery in a timely manner. Every step of the way my server was conscious and aware of what course I was in and consistently checked in to make sure that everything tasted good and that my evening was going well and she did it with a genuine smile on her face. I had the pineapple margarita which was amazing and the Blindman beer is from a local brewery in Lacombe, Alberta. For appetizers, I had the octopus (Patatas bravas with chorizo) and the beef tartare( Pickled shallot, mustard seed, leek aioli, horseradish with house made potato chips). Both were delicious! If I had to one though, I'd go with the steak tartare. I have two entrees pictured; the duck (Celeriac puree, braised red cabbage, chicken jus with beet chips) which was amazing! It was cooked to a perfect medium. The other is a beef short-rib bourguignon (Braised short rib, bacon, mushrooms & pearl onions over tagliatelle) which was good. For desserts I had the feature which was a classic creme brûlée and a chocolate cake (Candied walnut and caramel filling finished with chocolate ganache & fleur de sel). So I went here for my birthday. We had the cocktail of the day, the picnic basket and of course the fries. It is decent enough inside. However for the price of the entrees, I would have expected a more warm and intimate atmosphere. Not a great place to linger and chat. However the service was AMAZING. I haven't had such good service in a long time. Water was always filled, server was informative and prompt and everyone else that we interacted with generally excited to feed us. This was great. Food was delicous. Love the fries. Probably their signature dish. The picnic basket was good - the ricotta was amazing. We didn't love country style pate. It was chunky and didn't work. All in all though a great meal and for the price point plenty of food for the amount they charge. And the cocktail was one of the best that i have had in a long time. It was the cocktail of the day so I can't say what it was but I am sure all the cocktails here are just as good. read more

Just got home from their latest supper club dinner, what can I say... It was a truffle dinner pre-paid $200/ person with Italian wine flight. Firstly, paper napkins, 2 oz. pours, no top ups, Italian menu with French truffles no flavour. Arancini was good, highlighted by citrus brightness, no truffle flavour. Crostini was okay, served cold, no truffle flavour. Raviolo was excellent, no truffle flavour. Beef Wellinton was well executed, however no sauce of any type let alone truffle "infused". Dessert was amateurish, some sort of toasted sourdough and cheese with honey "truffle " and cracked pepper. I asked if I could purchase an Amaro for my self and my wife after dinner and I was refused! I don't know what to say other than the experience was sorely lacking on so many levels, meanwhile the kitchen staff and management took to the microphone to pat themselves on the back. Here's a hint.... Next time use Italian truffles, and try catering to your guests that took a leap of faith with no guarantee from you!! read more

Casual or romantic ambience. Great tasting french food. Great service. The marc has been around for several years. And during the first year of opening I had several issues with the food. Initially quite disappointing flavours and poor service. But now this has all improved and has uped my rating from average to outstanding! Located just off of Jasper avenue in a little corner (you wont drive by it unless you are looking for it) Theres ample street parking after 6pm. Before this its rather awful downtown metered parking. Reservations are easy to make via opentable. ANd make online bookings super easy. I did this about a month in advance and scored prime seating for a 630pm seating on valentines day. Once arrived. They have a little coat check area to hang your jackets and the hostess is great for assisting with this.The restaurant is dimly lit and has a modern feel without being too cold. It can be a casual dinner out with family or friends or a romantic dinner with a loved one. Although I personally think it would be a nice first date kinda place to impress! Lol. I was seated in a large booth in the corner right behind the hostess area. And I would have to say these seats are prime seating. Large enough for 2 people to little sprawl out and lay down. Nice. It was very intimate and I didnt feel cramped at all. This was one of my annoyances in the past. As previously I felt the seating was a bit cramped and too close to other patrons for comfort. The food on my particular visit was outstanding. The complimentary bread was soft and warm. The steak tartar was decent. A bit mushy to my liking. The escargots were buttery and rich. The pate was a good portion. The Scallop entree was outstanding and highly recomended. Every item on the plate complemented the dish. The flavours were rich and buttery and cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The lobster sauce on top of the scallops was delicious. The steak was cooked a perfect medium rare with lots of marbling but not overly fatty. This was not the case on one of my first visits for a pork belly dish which was basically a huge chunk of fat which was extremely unappetizing. I would have to say that these 2 entrees ( the steak and the scallops) are a must order. The beignets were soft but not as tasty as i imagined. But the sauces served with it really upped the wow factor as the caramel sauce was delicious. I personally dont understand all the rage about the beignets (Ive had better). But the chocolate cake was a delicious end to our meal. A rich chocolate dessert not overly rich or too sweet. The sauces accompanied with it and the crunchy walnuts made this dish. And I will definetly order this again. The service is great. A great balance between friendly, helpful and nonintrusive. I attended Downtown Dining Week 2018 Lunch Edition at the Marc this past month with two dining companions. The Marc offered the following 2 courses for a set price of $18: Course 1 House-Made Garlic Sausage Savoy cabbage and wild boar bacon, potato pancakes, smoked cheddar cream sauce, stout mustard Course 2 Breton Cake Apricot coulis and Chantilly Cream First, we arrived before the opening at 1130 and they were happy to seat us at 1120. By 12PM the place was PACKED so definitely reservations recommended. The layout was beautiful but there was no thought for volume control. There are no canvas panels, no curtains, nothing to dampen the incredible loud volume inside of everyone dining. I will say that by the end of our meal two of us noted that we were verging on headaches and had to practically yell to hear each other (not what I'm thinking or wanting when at a fine dining establishment). All 3 of us opted for the Downtown Dining Week menu as that is what brought us here. Our male companion loved the meal from start to finish - it really was a lot of food and he loved the heartiness of it. My girlfriend and I both found the meal quite heavy and in fact, I didn't care for it all (nothing wrong with the presentation and the quality was superb but I just didn't enjoy such a heavy feeling meal). I opted to swap out for a bowl of potato and parsnip soup which was lovely. My girlfriend commented that she also found it too heavy feeling and only ate about half her meal. For dessert, we each had the Breton Cake (and our server warned us that it was quite dense). But really it's like a butter pound cake almost. The flavour was excellent and the Chantilly cream a lovely touch but two of our pieces were so tough that we literally laughed out loud almost stabbing the "cake" trying to break it apart with our fork. All in all, the items featured for Downtown Dining Week were not ones that made any of us eager to come back. Our server was lovely and as we gazed around the room there were dishes that definitely do make us want to come back! Like the mushrooms on toast - sounds so simple but looks amazing. They were featuring Artic Char on our visit which is one of my faves. So I do think we'll be back but I can't say when as there are so many fabulous local places to try. read more

The Marc has been on my list for ages, so, we went. Absolutely loved our meal there. The service was welcoming and excellent, the food was delicious, it felt as if we were invited into a home....if that makes sense. A complainy fella that knew a lot about everything droned on to the staff about his qualifications, education, work history, dining history, life history. I felt bad for the staff, but they handled him well and he was made to feel very relevant and important. I'm sure he was pleased in the end because he blew his nose into the restaurant cloth napkins and placed it crumpled onto the empty plate, which we all know, is how a know it all expresses his delight with his meal. Excellent food. Superb service. You need to make your reservation at least 2 weeks in advance. Main courses are around $30. I always take the fish special. Often, they will have Arctic Char. My husband loves the steak. Good wine list. We love Coyam, the Chilean red blend. We rarely leave room for dessert, but the lemon tart is delicious. I have not dined on the patio yet. It would be worth another visit, for sure. It's not a glamourous looking restaurant and I would not call it intimate, but the food is the best I've had. There is no pretentious attitude. A nice place to go where you will be treated well. Wear jeans if you want. read more

Dining at The Marc was an incredibly pleasant experience from the moment I called to make the reservation to when we walked out of the restaurant. We were seated quickly and brought a water carafe, and given time to choose a bottle of wine. Our server was able to help us choose the perfect bottle and it was delicious! It's worth noting our server mentioned taking care of our wine should we not enjoy it, and I later saw her replace a guests cocktail choice happily even after his protest against doing so; that's great customer service to me! Fortunately we loved our wine and I recommend the Emiliana if you're looking for a full bodied red to go with your meal. Moving on! We had the crab cake and tomato galette to start and both came out quickly and were wonderful! So much flavour in the sauce for the crab cake, and the galette was absolutely lovely. I've never thought a word could so perfectly describe a food until tonight. Just lovely. My boyfriend and I both had the entrecote frites (ribeye and fries) and wow. The steak lived up to the hype entirely! Just so good. And the fries! A majorly enjoyable component of the dish. Fries are usually just fries, but these were so flavourful, stayed crisp the entire time, and the truffle in the aioli came through really nicely. Even the little arugula salad was delicious! All in all a perfect meal. We paired our final glasses of wine with a shared creme brûlée as we were too full to order anything more, and it was... you guessed it! Also delightful. Our server (and any other staff we came into contact with) was friendly, attentive, and unpretentious. The restaurant itself is very simple, elegant, and warm; an elevated but comfortable dining experience! We enjoyed every moment of our time here and I feel I definitely made the right choice for my boyfriends birthday dinner. We attended the NYE fixed menu dinner. The restaurant was rather busy but the servers were on top of things. The ambience was relaxed and classy. The food, however, was a far cry from the menu we were accustomed to under the prior ownership. Started with a "chicken liver paté" on brioche. The texture was liquid rather than spreadable, the contents of the paté, a mystery better left undiscovered. For a main course the most inedible "lobster risotto" I have ever tasted. Cold, mushy, milky, with drippings of something green. Sent it back and felt terrible for the waiter. She offered a "smoked Cornish hen" with mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms and veggies. it was decent except the carrots and peppers were uncooked (someone in the kitchen is not supervising properly) The dessert, a "chocolate torte" was a simple chocolate Betty Crocker cake square with some dollops of unknown white frosting...overall, airplane food at its best. read more

I finally went to The Marc. I wish it had been for dinner but I ended up having lunch and it was delightful. I wasn't sure what to expect but the lunch menu is small yet enough to appeal to most. I had the soup which was a lamb and more like a stew served with fresh bread. my dining partner had the same and a caesar salad on the side. which looked amazing. That crouton! It's smaller inside than I expected and they fit lots of tables into the space. The waitress took our coats obviously to make more space and I could see into the kitchen which I liked. Open fresh vibes in here. Service was exceptional even during a busy lunch hour rush. I'll be back for dinner - don't you worry about that. read more

So I've only ever had one thing at The Marc. The problem is that it is so good I can't have it on the menu and try other things. The Entrecôte Frites is simply the best steak I've ever had. It's a 10oz ribeye with this fois gras butter...it's just the best. Frites and an arugula salad to accompany this amazing dish. The room is simple and modern. The staff are always so nice and very professional. It's the perfect restaurant for a date night and it won't bankrupt you. It's worth every penny. Oh and get the beignets for dessert. I dropped in for a late supper since I was staying at a nearby hotel. My server recommended the pan-seared Arctic char, paired with a nice off dry French white. The fish arrived at the perfect temperature, crisp on the skin side and melt-in-your mouth tender on the other. I finished my meal with a creme brûlée, one of the best I've ever had. A fine meal in a plain dining room, brought out by friendly, unpretentious staff, and for this diner's palate, the cuisine is on point. read more

We had a low key New Year's Eve this year. The Marc provided the perfect and easy way to ring it in for us. In fact, there are, along with Cibo, one of the few places I recommend with NO hesitation to friends and family who want to enjoy a really delicious and lovely dinner out :-) The Marc offered a Prix Fixe menu for the night and my companion and I started with the Grilled Scallops in a lobster broth...perfectly seasoned and we both also enjoyed the broth (the waitress thought we were done :-) but happy that we were having the broth too!) I even thought it would have made a delicious broth for our Italian Christmas Day "Tortellini in Brodo" (since on Christmas Day, the tradition is to have a light broth as a first course). I do have to admit though, I really wanted the Pate' Sausage (I love pate'...) but instead decided to forgo the pate' since I also remember how well the chef here prepares the Duck Breast.... My companion ordered the Gnocchi which were delicious and light (not chewy/floury). His only complaint? He wanted more :-9 For dessert, my companion had the Tarte Tatin which was a nice and light for what we had planned later for our NYE....spumante and panettone (another Italian tradition) and I enjoyed the Poached Pear with candied walnuts. Patrick and Doris were wonderful hosts for the evening and to top it off.... I received a kind and delicious treat of the pate' to take home anyway since I was SO wanting to try it :-) It was divine....and I would put it up against ANY paté I have ever had in France :-) As many of you who are kind enough to read my reviews know, I don't give out many 5s....over the years, I have always recommended the Marc and this time around confirms what I have always known to be true for me...it is an Edmonton gem...an always sure to be really good culinary experience with people who know what they are serving and cooking with :-) love. read more

Jennie M and I headed over to The Marc optimistic that they may be open on Remembrance Day... We wandered inside only to learn that they were not open for lunch. But they were going to be open for dinner that night! So, we headed elsewhere for lunch but ventured back later that night (post elite-event). Our party had grown into to three and we called ahead to make sure they could accommodate us. Luckily, the answer was yes! We strolled in around 9pm and were greeted warmly by the staff. As I'd noted earlier, The Marc is one large open room, but it's tastefully decorated and has a cozy feeling to it. The dinner menu is limited, but there's likely something for everyone on it... We started out with some olives to munch on in addition to some fresh bread... It did take awhile to order and get our food, but it was well worth the wait, and we weren't in a rush. I had Manhattan Clam Chowder and a Caesar Salad and cleaned both my bowl and my plate! I also did some damage to the side of frites we ordered for the table. My dining companions seemed to enjoy their meals as well... Needless to say, I think we were all pretty full after our meals, but our waitress talked us into sharing dessert - a chocolate turtle pie of sorts that was the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful day! Explanabrag warning: I came here for dinner with my husband to celebrate four years of being together. As a thank you for helping with a project, my husband received a very generous $100 gift card to The Marc so we used it for our anniversary dinner. I thought we would go way over budget, but even though it's a fairly nice place, the prices were surprisingly reasonable. To start, my husband did escargot and I had the arugula and beet salad. I can't speak for his appie but mine was fantastic! Perfect flavours, not too salty, very fresh. I had the half cornish hen for my main, which I ate like it was my last meal on earth. Very delicious, and perfectly roasted - the meat fell off the bone perfectly. And, if you can believe it, the red lentils it came with were even better than the hen itself. Just ridiculous (in a very good way). Husband had the tuna, which he very much enjoyed, and we also shared the bacon-braised cabbage for a side. Again, very good. But it was very bacon-y, so how could it be bad? Healthy husband just sipped on coffee post-meal, but I did the creme caramel. I take back what I said about eating the game hen like it was my last meal on earth. That's actually what I did with the creme caramel. Forget savouring. All that food plus a half litre of wine came to only $130, which I feel is fairly reasonable. We left a generous tip because our server was very, very good. Attentive without being overbearing, and knowledgeable about the food and wine. Example: we told him that we loved the wine and asked him if he could please write down the name of it on our bill. He not only wrote it down, but provided us a list of local wine stores that carry the bottle. Wow. Definitely a must-visit for a nice night out in the city! read more

great downtown location with some interesting dishes and some misses. Hand cut fries- don't taste like them. They taste like McCains. But tomato and pea shoot salad was v good. Arctic char had an interesting bed of fiddleheads and other mixed veg. Would have preferred more of a crispy skin on the fish, but it was done well. My dessert was lemon tart that was an unusual and v light take on a classic dessert. My guest had the BC tuna and this was a huge disappointment since it looked gray and the pieces were teeny tiny. Another great supper with the hubby for our 13th anniversary!!! Yah. We startrd off with the smoked fish croquettes with endives. The presentation was beautiful but unfortunately I was not a fan. The portion was super small with one croquet for each of us. The fish ball itself was super fishy and left a lingering taste in my mouth that didn't leave till I got to dig into my main entrée. The dijon mustard sauce was the saving grace for this dish, And the endives were fresh and crisp. For our main course I went with the duck and my husband had the scallops. Once again the scallops did not disappoint. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his plate and used the left over complimentary bread to soak up the last of the lobster sauce. This was my first go at duck and I really enjoyed it. The duck was flavourful and juicy but it was a little chewy. I actually didn't mind the extra bit chewing because it left you with more time to enjoy the taste. The plate includes corn with some other mixed veg which was also super delicious. There was a small amount of parsnip puree on the plate. The puree seemed a little out of place and didn't go well with the other ingredients but it did grow on me. To say the least I was left with an empty plate at the end of the meal. We didn't have time for dessert but I cannot wait for my next excuse to eat at this marvelous restaurant again. I love this restaurant! - Simple but tasty and well-prepared dishes; - Good by-the-glass wines and an interesting beer list; - Attentive service; - Clean and modern decor (they have a patio too!); - Great atmosphere (always busy); - Reasonable prices. It does get a little loud and you might smell faintly of the restaurant when you leave, but it's totally worth it. Food at lunch is always quickly served, whereas at dinner you have the time to enjoy a glass of wine and really savour the food. Not a whole lot more I can say that hasn't already been said, except - if you have the chance to try their Toulouse sausages, do it! Made in-house (apparently all their sausages are), the perfectly-cooked garlicky sausages were a delight to eat with the accompanying white bean/pork belly/pork cheek cassoulet. What can I say about The Marc? There are probably only a couple words - freaking fantastic! The Marc was chosen by a colleague for a work meeting. I had no idea what I would be walking into or what kind of food I would be faced with. When I walked in, I thought I was walking into a high-class restaurant, but it was nice to see I wasn't the only one in jeans! The service was incredible. I forgot the name of our waitress, but she was pleasant and knowledgeable. She made sure that we understood the specials for the day and quickly answered any questions that we had. Oh. My. God. Like I said, the food was fantastic. I ordered one of the daily specials - an open-faced smoked meat sandwich with Gruyere cheese. It was probably the most amazing sandwich I have ever had - and I don't even like sandwiches! The combination of meat and cheese paired with the delicious bread it was served on was one for the books! Very good food, very good attentive staff, very clean high end restaurant. The menu has a good variety of food and drinks. Kinda pricey, but it was expected when we decided to visit. First time here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great meal! Sever was very knowledgable about the drinks and menu items. Had an amazing salad to start with bacon and a fried egg! Main courses were the rib eye steak and the bone in veal chop. Both were so tender and melted in your mouth! For dessert we opted for the chocolate cake. Not quit what we expected. It tasted like regular cake, not a dark chocolate taste as described. Skip the cake. read more
