We had made a reservation far in advance as it was for valentines night. We were seated promptly and I got a corner table as requested, Thank you! The staff were all very attentive, pleasant and friendly, and never lingered too long. The restaurant was warmly lit and was mostly quiet but had some lovely relaxing/romantic music playing. I ordered a lovely glass wine, which turned into a second glass, closer to dessert and hubs had a fancy non-alcoholic drink he liked. The menu was a prix fix but I was pleasantly surprised with our options. There were 3 choices for each course. Our first course, Hubs ordered the Bibb salad with chicken skin croutons, such a unique and delicious idea. I had the pork rillette, which was like an amazing pate, with apricot gelee, mustard and crisp bread. This was absolutely incredible. Our second course, hubs had the duck with lentils and endive, every bite was simply divine. I had the steak with mushrooms, peas and asparagus, the sauce for this was amazing and the steak was so incredibly tender. Third course was dessert, hubs had the chocolate cake, which he said was very good. I had the "cereal milk" panna cotta. This dish was the hit of the night, so many components from the berries to earl grey tea gelee to the cornflake tuile. Nothing in this dish was overly sweet as may desserts are, but they all worked so brilliantly together in each bite. I could not stop eating it. The courses all came at perfect intervals, with enough time in between for you to want the next course. I often feel rushed at most restaurants, this was a lovely change. They were also perfectly portioned, so you have room for all three courses, unlike so many other restaurants. My biggest complement was that each dish I tasted was not only delicious, there was an intellectual component, and each bite made me think about each ingredient and how they worked together. The Burrata was fine, not great.. just average (Try Pip for a really good Burrata) The Market Cheese for $14.00 is a complete joke. At least we thought it was.. you get 1 slice of cheese and 3 pieces of bread. The 4 of us looked at the waitress when she put it down thinking they made an error.. but no.. it is a $14.00 slice of cheese. The steak Tartare was decent. Their take is heavy on pickles but it is fine.. if you are looking for a less "tangy" tartare, skip as this is pickle and caper forward. The steak.. you would do better at Chop, Keg, Cactus Club or a variety of other places... thin, little flavour but ohhh the grill marks. My wife had chicken... it was chicken stacked on some beans etc. Not bad.. just chicken .. sauce was good but not "fine dining" The duck.... OMG the duck... my friend has never had duck so I convinced him to order it, He ordered Med and I ordered Med Rare... Both came out as 2 pieces each of Grey wet skinned, Medium (over) meat with a couple crispy wedges of overdone (Hard on the bottom) tomato polenta. The "Sauce Moutard" .... Well.... Maybe look online for a recipe.. Needless to say, my friend's 1st duck experience was sub par.. So for $500.00 (4 cocktails and wine were $150 of that), there are sooo many other establishments in Edmonton to select from... but you may have to book in advance. We could have taken them to Cactus CLub and had a better meal for less... Dissatisfied to say the least.

The server was very attentive throughout our visit, and had many specials/suggestions when we were ordering. We started with cocktails and escargot. The escargot was fantastic! For mains, we ordered the steak tartare, moules marinieres, frites and wine. Both dishes were prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. We ended our experience with espresso. The view was absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend this restaurant for a fine dining experience.

We meant to try a place in Edmonton but ran out of time and when heading to our next hotel in Leduc tried to find perogies. When searched for this was the only restaurant and had glowing reviews. It was open! But closed in under two hours so headed straight there. Kids were surprised they liked it... a bit... and adored the desserts. I LOVED everything I tried and was SO full. Ended up choosing to skip dessert for more food... then had the pleasure of finishing my husband's cinnamon bun and stole the odd bite from my kids when they were done. Many choices of food and desert. We spoke to the female owner for a while and she was so welcoming and pleasant and fun to talk to. She was all smiles and explained all different kinds of food as we had no idea of Ukrainian food. The restaurant is in the industrial area and we were not sure whether we are going to the right place but we were! Thank you for your warm hospitality and great food.

Flavor was fine but was soooooo mushy. My mother said it was too mushy and could not eat it. Cherry on the side was super yummy. Lots of other cool desserts to try next time. The stand outs were the steelhead crudo and the beet salad. The steelhead crudo was beautiful and shining like jewels on the plate. And the beet salad was the same. Apparently Bundok was participating in downtown dining week and had a $65 dinner. We were never made aware of that. First impressions were...exceptionally poor. 1. It was LOUD. Like, had to routinely ask my dining partner to repeat themselves level loud for the entire meal. We were also greeted by the manager, who barely looked up and seemed quite annoyed, while waving us over to our table. I also sat at our table for well over 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged by our server. It's a very small space so this definitely stood out. My husband had time to go get something from the car, come back, browse the drink menu a few times and ask me if we wanted to leave before anyone came to talk to us. It was a busy night, sure but...I can't recall a time I've actually debated just leaving (and leaving a gift card behind) due to utter lack of service. When our server did come, she was quite lovely and did fantastic through the whole meal despite being new. This makes me wonder if the manager forgot to mention there was a new table. Food wise, we knew we had a gift card so we definitely wanted to use that up and then some. The drinks were...okay. Nothing notable and frankly the wine selection is better suited to the meal (their orange is lovely), but I can certainly see why Bundok has won awards for its menu. Every item, save for our striploin was delicious and perfectly prepared. The steak itself tasted like its prepared sous vide then seared, but was very rubbery in our case. Could have been that it wasn't fully to temp when seared. The black garlic sauce was nice, but overall, we could have done without that dish as a whole. If I look at the meal as a whole, removing the benefit of having a gift card, I wouldn't, and won't, be going back. Why? While the food IS wonderful, the price you'll pay (don't get me wrong, I have zero issue paying for an experience and good eats!) isn't necessarily worth poor service, and exceptionally loud (seriously, you're in a repurposed industrial loft that's supposed to feel intimate, the glass beside me was vibrating at some points) setting. This would be 2 stars and a non recommend, but the flavour of the food saved it. If you're fine with super loud and want an experience, give it a shot, but there are other places in the city that are far better for an intimate night out, have equal caliber food, and quite frankly, run laps around the service. While we're thankful for the opportunity, we'll happily pass on going back.
