Love the plants on the table

What w beautiful restaurant tasty food. This was my decond time going there. Joseph, the chef is simply one of the best in Edmonton! They are lucky to have him. I had the pork cheek. Sorry, I forgot the fancy name for it, but the presentation and taste were fantastic. We also had some dessert. There were only two choices, which was okay, but a few more choices would be nice. The services were okay. It would be 5/5. Unfortunately, the lady that server was foegot our water. They asked us if we wanted water, and we said yes because we were really thirty, water never came until I asked for and as we were almost done our food. When the food came out, we had no napkins nor cutlery. We again had to ask the server. Overall, it was great, I will come back again for more of Joseph's food. Attention to details from the server will get this special place a 5! Love the plants on the table, very nice touch

Came by for a meeting, and had to wait for my co-attendant, so decided to try their mini coq au vin. The meal came on three sliders for 15 plus tip. I had forgotten to order the gluten free option which is one larger gluten-free bun. The coq au vin came with ample amounts of gravy on three cute little buns. It was tasty, but messy. I was glad I was still alone-not first date fair :). I also ordered a flat white to go as I was uncertain how long I'd be sitting there. Their expresso has overtones of chocolate-not my favourite and still a bit weak for my taste. But the waiting staff was very attentive, unlike my usual experience here. I was asked by three different people, including my server, if I'd been looked after- and I had. The coffee was just over 4 plus tip, but I wouldn't come here just for the coffee.

I came here for brunch Saturday morning. Immediately we were greeted by the staff member. Our coffees came to our table extremely quick after we ordered. And once our food orders were placed they were out shortly too. The food was awesome. I was a little bit jealous of everyone else's meals even though mine was also great. The atmosphere was quaint and relatively cozy, and it sure filled up quick! I'll definitely be back here.

I have finally found the BEST bagel in Edmonton. It's no secret that Montreal bagels are superior to every other bagel out there (sorry, New Yorkers) and I'm so glad to have finally found the legendary St. Viateur bagel here at Cafe Bicyclette. It's just as good as in Montreal! The ambience at this cafe is really nice- reminds me of Europe a lot actually. It doesn't tend to be very loud so it's great for a business lunch or if you urgently need to get some work done. The staff is very welcoming and the menu selection is quite wide. They serve coffee here with a small chocolate which is a nice little touch. While a bit pricey, I think it's worth it to come here to sit down and have a coffee with a friend. You're not only paying for the food but for the ambience.

Excellente! I used to live right by the French quarter and recently had the chance to revisit some of my old stomping grounds. Cafe Bicyclette remains a staple of the area with a beautiful atmosphere and rich with culture. The food and drinks are phenomenal, if a little pricey for the amount received, but delectable as always. Can't wait to be back!

I had a friend of mine visiting from Berlin, Germany and wanted to take her to a quaint little cafe in Edmonton. I had heard about this place for years but had never visited. My mistake. Cafe Bicyclette is located in the heart of Edmonton's French Quarter and across the street from the Campus Saint-Jean. It is also a beautiful neighborhood to walk around in the summer. We had only popped into Cafe Bicyclette for a specialty coffee but they offer so much more. Our barista was a pleasant young lady who made our beverages with a smile. My friend is fluent in a number of languages and had a pleasant conversation with her in French while she made our drinks. My friend will be back in the Spring and we have put Cafe Bicyclette on our list to visit again but this time for dinner. Merci

We went to Cafe Bicyclette on Friday evening, just before 7 pm to celebrate my partner's new job. We waited for a short time for the waiter to come by, then asked for menus. The website had profiled a new chef, and we were excited to try out the new menu. Our waiter left and came back a few minutes later, without menus, and told us the kitchen was closed, but he'd be happy to offer us something from the drink menu. On a Friday at 7 pm. Sheesh! That's all I have to say. Their Website says they are open til 8:00pm. We were very disappointed but left and went somewhere else close by where we had supper and drinks.

My daughter took us here when we visited her. Even before you get inside, you will be drawn in by the outdoor patio with bright, colorful flowers, plus you can't miss the actual bicycle hanging up with flowers decorating it, too. We had a delicious lunch of ratatouille au fromage and a croque-monsieur croissant. I valiantly tried to order in french and my husband, who is French, enjoyed having someone also from France who worked with that he could converse with. She was extremely helpful and friendly. You must try this place.

Come here for the best authentic poutine! Poutine Bicyclette features "old school cheesery cheese" curds, homemade gravy and hand cut fries. You know it's legit when the cheese curds are queaky when you chew. This is what I order every time I come here. This cafe/bar/restaurant is located in the French quarter of Edmonton. This is a great place to practice speaking French! The menus are in French, and the staff also speak French. I hear other customers speaking French with each other. It's almost like being in Quebec without having to pay for a trip there! If you aren't confident in your French skills, don't worry, they also speak English here. I haven't been here for an event. From the posters, it looks like they have weekly musical performances. That would be another cool thing to check out!

Cafe bicyclette open for business! Things are starting to slowly open back up again and I was excited to see their updated menu. I love coming to this little place because it has one of the cutest patios in the city. There are tea lights, umbrellas, fresh flowers, couch/pillows area and even some artisticly hung windows. They have done a great job of providing hand sanitizer before you go in as well as giving lots of space between tables and taking extra precautions to make sure we can enjoy a safe restaurant experience. I don't personally speak a lot of French but since Cafe bicyclette is in a French speaking area all the servers are fluent as are many of the patrons. It can be a fun experience in itself to go to a restaurant that is bilingual! I could not help but order the poutine and it did not disappoint. The fries were so crispy and well-seasoned complete with squeaky cheese curds and gravy. I was totally stuffed! The server came to our table so we didn't have to enter the restaurant, we could just stay on the patio enjoying our food and drinks. Another reason that makes this patio Prime real estate is because of the shape of the building around it perfectly shelters it from any wind which makes it so enjoyable on a nice day!

Was looking for the best Poutine in the city to experience the authentic taste not just some from a fast food place I can make myself at home. After having my coffee at the Duchess I was set on this place which was highly recommended by the locals in the bakery. This is the next best to the cheese factory and close to where I was spending the afternoon. Upon walking in I was greeted in french by a wonderful woman. She was super friendly. I ordered the poutine and a cappuccino. Both were very delicious. After seeing it made at the Edmonton Mall food court I was very skeptical but this actually looked so delicious on site. So glad I came. I would recommend this quiet non touristy place to anyone wanting to step outside the hustle and bustle of the city for a peaceful delicious meal and cappuccino.

We hadn't been to Brasserie Bardot, but had visited other restaurants in the area. I love the idea of old mansions converted to restaurants, and this didn't disappoint. The decor was elegant while also bringing a casual feel to it. For a Saturday night at 7:00, the place was definitely not busy- but that said, it's a small place. The service was decent, possibly a bit slow. We had good company though, and we're not in a rush. All of our food, and dessert was quite good. I do find the menu lacked variety though.... I noticed that there were things in people's reviews online that were not on the current menu. Either it's a seasonal menu, or the menu used to be larger. I'm not sure. All in all, I will be back. We had made a reservation far in advance as it was for valentines night. We were seated promptly and I got a corner table as requested, Thank you! The staff were all very attentive, pleasant and friendly, and never lingered too long. The restaurant was warmly lit and was mostly quiet but had some lovely relaxing/romantic music playing. I ordered a lovely glass wine, which turned into a second glass, closer to dessert and hubs had a fancy non-alcoholic drink he liked. The menu was a prix fix but I was pleasantly surprised with our options. There were 3 choices for each course. Our first course, Hubs ordered the Bibb salad with chicken skin croutons, such a unique and delicious idea. I had the pork rillette, which was like an amazing pate, with apricot gelee, mustard and crisp bread. This was absolutely incredible. Our second course, hubs had the duck with lentils and endive, every bite was simply divine. I had the steak with mushrooms, peas and asparagus, the sauce for this was amazing and the steak was so incredibly tender. Third course was dessert, hubs had the chocolate cake, which he said was very good. I had the "cereal milk" panna cotta. This dish was the hit of the night, so many components from the berries to earl grey tea gelee to the cornflake tuile. Nothing in this dish was overly sweet as may desserts are, but they all worked so brilliantly together in each bite. I could not stop eating it. The courses all came at perfect intervals, with enough time in between for you to want the next course. I often feel rushed at most restaurants, this was a lovely change. They were also perfectly portioned, so you have room for all three courses, unlike so many other restaurants. My biggest complement was that each dish I tasted was not only delicious, there was an intellectual component, and each bite made me think about each ingredient and how they worked together. I have never been to a Micheline star restaurant, I personally think these dishes would fit right in. Well done chef!

We wanted to take friends out for a nice dinner.. booking the day prior, most establishments had no availability... The Marc did. It's been 4 years since we last ate here... The red flags maybe should have popped up when we entered to an almost empty restaurant. SO to start... The Burrata was fine, not great.. just average (Try Pip for a really good Burrata) The Market Cheese for $14.00 is a complete joke. At least we thought it was.. you get 1 slice of cheese and 3 pieces of bread. The 4 of us looked at the waitress when she put it down thinking they made an error.. but no.. it is a $14.00 slice of cheese. The steak Tartare was decent. Their take is heavy on pickles but it is fine.. if you are looking for a less "tangy" tartare, skip as this is pickle and caper forward. The steak.. you would do better at Chop, Keg, Cactus Club or a variety of other places... thin, little flavour but ohhh the grill marks. My wife had chicken... it was chicken stacked on some beans etc. Not bad.. just chicken .. sauce was good but not "fine dining" The duck.... OMG the duck... my friend has never had duck so I convinced him to order it, He ordered Med and I ordered Med Rare... Both came out as 2 pieces each of Grey wet skinned, Medium (over) meat with a couple crispy wedges of overdone (Hard on the bottom) tomato polenta. The "Sauce Moutard" .... Well.... Maybe look online for a recipe.. Needless to say, my friend's 1st duck experience was sub par.. So for $500.00 (4 cocktails and wine were $150 of that), there are sooo many other establishments in Edmonton to select from... but you may have to book in advance. We could have taken them to Cactus CLub and had a better meal for less... Dissatisfied to say the least.
