The Marathon Lives on Melrose!!! Steppin' into the Marathon Clothing store on Melrose felt like stepping into history for me. Upon entering I hear that " "Right Hand 2 God" playing on the speakers and it immediately supported the vibe, then them trumpets hit in the chorus and I was like damnnnn Nip was inspirational. It was super surreal for me, because, this ain't just a spot to cop gear, it's a monument to Nipsey Hussle's vision, standing tall in the heart of L.A., where hussle "Hustle" and motivation both meet. The place is by appointment only, which was dope. When you pull up, pull up to the back of the store and not the front. It's tucked away and parking is super limited. My family was the only ones in there. No distractions, so The vibe was calm and focused. I was gifted some Marathon gear by my mother-in-law, shout out to her fr fr cause this was a surprise for me and I'm a Nip fan fasho. I was looking for a shirt and when I found it from the moment I touched it the quality is solid. The items are priced fair as wThey also have Racks full of hoodies, tees, shoes, and hats it all culture woven into fabric. Customer service was decent. Helpful and laid-back. Just good people holding down the legacy with respect. This one's for the Neighborhood Nip! You didn't just leave a mark you left a movement. And it's still running strong on Melrose. One of the first places that I thought of to visit was here! I was a little confused by the shopping in-person experience. However, I learned that you have to make an appointment for a 15min private shopping experience. The store is located on the rooftop with a security guard who checks you in. He was super nice and provided hospitality. Upon walking in, I noticed a neat and clean store almost like in the magazine. I was scared to touch anything as they will refold whatever you're looking at. They gladly encouraged us to look at whatever we wanted. I will say that we had to prompt conversation about the product when we came in, however, they provided sizes and more product information when asked. Upon leaving they allowed us to take our time and take photos and offered us water. Overall, I loved the intimate shopping experience. It makes you feel like a celebrity:). My shirt is so cute and it was reasonable priced for $50. They have a good selection from shoes to clothing. read more

Black Owned Business ! Store was opened years after the Late Great Nipsey Hussle was killed. His people are keeping his company & name alive through this store! You enter through the back and up the stairs. It's very small inside but you're able to get what you need . They having apparel and cds. Unreliable. Takes forever to fulfill orders. I ordered a Tshirt for a family member as a birthday gift in September. The only reason I waited a couple months is the color combo was unique and would look great on him. Finally after 4 months I decided to get a refund. Wouldn't you know, that's when I got an email saying it's been shipped!! RIP NIP ... knew about Nip, but locked in with his Crenshaw album after hearing he was selling some for $100's. I downloaded the album on iTunes and would blast "Checc me out" that beat was boomin.. I then listened to interviews detailing the marathon store in his hood. Though I never got to make it to that location it was always an interest of mine to come support. Especially after his untimely passing. The marathon rooftop is a cool spot to come grab some merch.. not too much to it, come in and everything is right there. I ordered something NOV.29 for a Xmas gift and it never showed up! Customer service is nonexistent. The website said 7-14 days and its been almost 30! And guess what?? I placed an order Dec. 2024 and never got an email stating my order was ready to ship or a delivery date. Almost seemed like they forgot about my order!!! However, every week or so there's emails about new merchandise coming out. How?!! If placed orders aren't made nor sent out!! It was a limited release order and on sale, perhaps they sold out? But who knows, no one ever sent out a message. I reached out 3 times in 3 different emails before I received a reply saying I could continue to wait (an indefinite time) or cancel my order. I decided to give them the benefit of doubt and waited a MONTH after their email and still non update about my December 2024 order (their email was sent in Feb 2025). Finally this week (March 2025) I reached out AGAIN. They said there was no delivery date and there wasn't much to do, either I cancel my order or continue to wait. I cancelled my order. ordered 2 items on 12/12/2024. i received a confirmation email stating the order was placed same day but i have received no update since. i have emailed the company twice and only received a bot response on 12/19 stating that orders are shipped 1-5 business day after ordering depending if there were a high volume of orders. it has been over a month and i have not received a shipping confirmation. the comments on their latest post dated 1/8/2025 are full of frustrated customers waiting for their items as far back as black friday. i will be disputing the charge with my bank. Honestly the worst and most frustrating experience ever. For anybody thinking about buying your merch online, DO NOT DO IT. All I wanted to do was support the legacy of a person we all strive to be like and look up but these people are just taking Nipsey's name and brand and using it to steal minorities money. I bought my merch over a month ago and I still haven't gotten it. I've called and emailed every single day for two weeks and they still haven't gotten back to me. I decided to go to the closest store to me which was this specific store on melrose. When I got there they were nothing but rude to me. SPECIFICALLY some raggedy ass dude name Jay who didn't know how to treat customers. All I wanted was to see if I can get the contact information or anyone that can help me resolve this problem. Jay the emotional dude that's supposably the "manager" of this store did nothing but tell and try to intimidate and act aggressive so I can leave. All they're doing is stealing people's money.
