Way too overpriced for mid tasting food. Waited 30minutes for 2 burger combos and chkn strips. Spent $60. Ordered a burger with no bbq sauce specifically and what did they do? I was passing through the town and was craving burgers. I found this spot and thought it was just be another place with normal tasing food. I was completely surprised with how juicy and flavorful the burgers were. Even their normal hamburgers are better than most other places. I took my grandkids here after we left CALM. The inside had that old burger and ice cream look, but the food didn't match it. My grandkids had burgers and one had a grill cheese. I've been coming to the mall shop since I was a freshman in high school back in 2017. They have amazing thick cut fries and the most tastiest ranch on the east side. Their burgers are really delicious and juicy. My granddaughter loves diners and I found this one on Labor Day while we were in Bakersfield. We walked in and there were 2 or 3 people who appeared to be picking up to go orders. We sat down at the counter, no one else seemed to be eating there. After a few minutes one of the gals asked if we were picking up. I said no we were eating in. She almost seemed confused by my answer.. LOL maybe it's not often people stay to eat? Anyway we ordered a chicken salad, BLT, fries, and. Chocolate shake. I asked for a cup of water and they literally gave me a dixie type cup full to the brim. I ended up buying a bottle of water instead. Food was pretty good. The crinkle fries were our favorite. My granddaughter liked her BLT, i thought it was a little salty. My salad was as basic as they get... chicken, lettuce, and some tomato. I think for the price they could add a few more items. My son stopped by while we were eating and ordered food to take home since we were wrapping up when he showed up. I would say it was underwhelming but good. I would have added a star if the gals working were more friendly. They were basic too and could probably bring in more customers if they didn't appear to just be there to fill their shift. I tried the chicken nuggets from the children menu, two thumbs up. They do not have Coke in their machine , but later did I learn that they sale the bottle kind.
