    Large breakfast wrap...

The place is hidden, but right off Collage ave and I41. Nice atmosphere, clean and nicely decorated, what you might expect for the business name. Breakfast was very good, reasonably price and the service was outstanding , We ate blueberry pancakes and a breakfast wrap. Hash brown casserole was a nice change. The cinnamon roll was outstanding. We will eat here again.

One of the best pot pies I've ever had! Definitely will go back. Very impressed with this restaurant

I was staying in town for work and decided to stop in The Machine Shed for lunch. I travel all over for work but I'm from Iowa and this restaurant gave me the "small town" vibe which was very refreshing and homey. The staff are all very friendly and pleasant and water is served in Masson jars which I thought was really cute. I had the Southwest Chicken Salad and it was probably one of the best Southwest Chicken Salads I've had in a long time. The chicken was cooked and seasoned soo perfectly and the salad was fresh and crunchy. If I get sent here again for work I'll be stopping by.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in America. Not because the food is so fantastic (although it's really good), not because it's new and trendy, not because of who eats there, but because it is one of the last great American farm to table, heartland restaurants. The food is excellent, all midwestern staples that many of us grew up on, the atmosphere has that same farm inspired mid America, country feel and every time I've been here, the staff is great. Appleton has some great restaurants, but for me, no visit is complete without a stop at the Machine Shed.

Several Tables left not bussed during the entire visit

My husband and I visited your location on Saturday, 07-12-25, at 9:45 am. First off, let me say that I frequent the Pewaukee Restaurant and have always been pleased. This was not the case at this restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, I was a little concerned. The place is really run down. Ceiling tiles are dirty, worn carpets are present, tables are scratched, moldy wood trim is visible, and seats and tables are dirty. Also, I noticed that tables were not bussed and food and debris were on the floors. Our server, Jose, brought us water, menus, and coffee. Knowing what we wanted, we ordered immediately. It took about 30 minutes to get the food, but another server brought a refill of coffee during the wait. We then observed Jose with our food in hand, talking to the Hostess. Jose brought the food to the table and disappeared. Now, the food quality and presentation.....Terrible. The easy-over eggs were overdone, hash browns burnt on the edges, bacon burnt, and the plate was saturated in grease. The pancakes were cold and dry. We tried to locate Jose, but he was not to be found. We sopped up some of the grease with a napkin and tried to eat some of the 'meal'. Couldn't do it. We waited for Jose for a while. I then flagged down the Hostess and asked if I could get a check. About 10 minutes later, Jose brought it to my husband. My husband went to the counter and asked the cashier to speak to the manager. He replied that she was not available, but would be back shortly. The cashier then asked him," How was everything?". He replied, "Not so good." His response was "Oh". He paid, and we left. To say the least, we were very disappointed and concerned. We left hungry.

I know this place is a chain but we experienced great service and good food at this Appleton restaurant near the Fox Valley Mall. It was going on 11 and we had not eaten anything yet. I was hungry for a breakfast type of meal. I did not notice if they serve breakfast all day but as we were seated we were handed a breakfast menu. We were here around 11:30 am. My order included a marinated pork steak with scrambled eggs and choice of two sides. I chose the hash-brown casserole and biscuit and gravy. My pork steak was flavorful but not the tenderest. The biscuit and sausage gravy was flavorful and ok-not the flakiest biscuit I've ever had. Hash brown casserole was average My husband chose chicken fried steak with gravy, hash-brown casserole and he enjoyed his meal. He said the chicken fried steak was crunchy. We both left with enough food for another meal for each of us. I would say The Machine She'd is comparable to a Cracker Barrel. I would stop back to this restaurant again.

had a group of twelve & they took a last minute reservation to get us in- were seated in 15 min. The food took awhile to get out however was so good! We all got brunch & would recommend their hasbrowns, pankakes, mimosas, and bloody Mary's! They have a large variety menu! 10/10 would come back again!

My experience this time around was a little bit more of a let down hence why I had to take one star off. When I went few months ago, I had burnt coffee which I chalked it up as a one time error. But it happened again with this visit, so that told me they don't really pay much attention to their coffee yet they have a whole menu dedicated to coffee. I also made a reservation on a Sunday knowing it fills up quick and that it might be hard to get a table, however, it was an hour and half before they close which means they tend to slow down around that time. Also, when making a reservation, it'll ask you if you want bar, dining area or patio. I chose dining area. Yet they called me an half hour before to see if I wanted to sit at the bar, which I told them twice in person I do not want to, and as a result the hostess gave me the annoyed/judgmental look down when I wasn't looking. As someone who has owned a family restaurant business for 30 years, that's a big no-no in terms of customer service. It's just rude and unnecessary. Also, they kind of really try to get customers out by 2, which is when they close. By standard at most restaurants, they need an extra hour after closing for customers to take their time with their meals rather than rushing through it, especially if you will sit them 20 minutes before closing time. I felt rushed, and I don't like that feeling at a place I'm trying to enjoy my meal. Would I come back here? Absolutely yes because their food is really the best for brunch in the area and it's cleaner. It just shouldn't be an excuse with certain things like what I mentioned above. P.S. if chicken and waffles happens to be one of the specials, get it. It's by far the best dish I've ever tried there and also my top 3 chicken & waffles that I've tried anywhere. SO GOOD!

The rarity time off we snuck over here and could not have been more impressed! Very much a unique place in Appleton but takes you to a big city like NYC or Portland. I picked the chicken pesto sandwich since I normally eat chicken sandwiches for lunch and opted for the house potatoes. Our waitress was very loopy and loud add seemed overly happy about her job. My colleague thinks she was yelling at us whem she spoke, but I believe that is just how some people talk. My chicken sandwich was good...but the chicken breast seemed like a machine formed patty and it was small. I was expecting something a little fresher, like a whole grilled chicken breast for the price. Instead, this seemed like a pre-made patty from a vendor they just heated up in an oven. The house potatoes were simple and pretty good though. They add cheese and herbs and spices to these to amp them up. I can't really speak for the breakfast or cocktail program, but their music was pretty good.
