I have sensitive skin but a professional would know you should practice basic hygiene before touching your face. No one even asked how I wanted my brows or what shape she spent less the 5 mins total on my brows for a wax and tint. Rushed through them and charged $35 for probably giving me a skin infection. Friday was my first time getting my nails done here, and it wasn't the most spectacular experience. The shape of my nails are uneven and not shaped the same. The top coat of my gel polish started peeling after ONE DAY of getting them done. I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure & paid $107 before tip. The one positive I can say was the people who work there are very nice, but I won't go back because of how bad my nails look and the fact that the gel polish is coming off. read more

if i could do a 0 or -0 i would. i've been to them a few times. i went and got my nails filled like normal, as they had done the last set, and i guess they did not seal them right because now i have GREEN FUNGUS ON MULTIPLE NAILS. i've gotten my nails done for over 10 years and i've never ever had this happen. and this particular time that i did go - you can see the intent on my middle finger - she did that with the DRILL i almost cried in pain. she cut several cuts with that drill around my nail and then also almost drilled into my nail... I was looking forward to trying LuA nails after hearing so many good things about it. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. My dip powder was sloppy and left my fingers with extra dried powder all over them. After 1 week my nails began to crack and chip. I have never had that happen before. Dip usually lasts on my nails for 3 weeks minimum without chipping. On top of that, it was $55 for dip only. Yes, I paid $55 for a dip manicure when in actuality I only got the dip powder. No cuticle clean up, no lotion, no massage, nothing. I also got a polish change on my toes and after a week, it is already chipping. I am extremely disappointed with LuA nails. read more

This is the only nail salon I go to Auburn but recently their service has been extremely slow. The wait time is very long (sometimes 30-40+ minutes) and they seem to be understaffed on some days. Came here w/ my friend as a walk-in and they were really accommodating. However, the man was so rough on her feet and ended up opening an old blister that was basically already healed. The lady did like 7 coats of gel polish on my toes which ended up peeling off the next day. These are my toes last night (one day after getting them done). i've been going here for YEARS, but how well your nails are done if getting anything other than a color change, seriously DEPENDS ON YOUR NAIL TECH! i don't plan on going back unless i have an appointment with Nikki or i believe Kasey? thats who posts on their instagram and have done mine very well in the past. in terms of other techs, i've had a lot of bad experiences (and only continue to go back for the two girls listed above). the first two pictures are just two examples of problems i've had. the third picture was done by Nikki in December 2020 and was exactly what i asked for plus some! she was great about mixing designs from different pictures and taking her time to make sure i was happy. they're REALLY pushy about getting dip powder (every time) even after i had said i wanted acrylics, and i finally agreed, which was a mistake. then realized i have to get a new set every single time instead of fills (which is literally why i wanted new acrylics) and is so much shorter than i wanted. my natural nails were that length before she clipped them to put on the extension. read more

The front desk lady is rude and was loudly arguing with someone on the phone INSIDE the salon, which I won't lie was entertaining but not professional, take that outside. The lady who was doing my feet was sweet, but she kept bumping my feet everywhere causing my polish to do this drip effect. So after my feet dried it look terrible. The yellow she used (this was around Easter ) was a grunge dark yellow. Which is not fit for Easter. And it was so expensive, the only thing I liked was the concept. The royal Paris concept. Today I went in for a pedicure at about 5:30. They closed at 6 so I asked if they had time to do it and they said yes. I showed the told the lady what I wanted and she said she could do it( I was getting a get French tip). The pedicure was okay, she left soap and little white particles on my feet and did not remove them when she put the lotion on. When she was doing the gel, she was having trouble with the colors drying and it was getting smudged. She had to start over with the white French tip a few times. By this time, it was around 6:30. This man started to yell at the lady doing my toes and I assume she told him that the color was not drying. He then went and got another gel dryer and I put my foot under it. When the timer was done he snatched it away from my foot and hits the dryer against my foot. She puts the second coat on and when she puts the dryer on top of my foot. He pushes my foot (what's seen in the video in their page ). While my last coat is drying she explains that my foot wasn't all the way in the dryer and that the workers were ready to go home. She never told me to adjust my foot Which I would have if she asked. (she's smiling I guess to lighten the mood). They made me pay before all this happened so yeah. read more

I had an organic pedicure yesterday about 4:00 p.m. I felt like the steamed towels were a little warm and had the girl remove one of them and allow it to cool. Once home, I realized my feet were burned from the towels. My feet and lower legs swelled and throbbed all night and are bright red from first degree burns. The kicker is that I called to notify them hoping they would turn down the temperature and be more cautious, and each person I spoke with could not understand English. After multiple attempts to let them know of my injuries, I hung up and decided to give this review! Beware of this nail spa unless you enjoy pain. read more

This is a newer nail salon here in Auburn. It is beautifully decorated. I got dip nails at this establishment. It was my very first time and I was pleased with my results, however, there was no actual manicure process. I'm not sure whether or not that is typical with dip nails. So I've been to a million nail salons and I have never been 100% satisfied with my nails. However, today has changed that. I went to LuA today and received a pedicure and full set. While she was working on my full set which was acrylic pink and white ombré, I wasn't happy with the pink she started to use as it was too pink. Once I mentioned it she was unsure of what I was trying to explain and got someone to translate, and found the perfect pink. The length, shape, and color are awesome and I couldn't be any happier! They were all very nice and offered me complimentary drinks. I'm sad the week I have to move out of the state I finally found somewhere that does my nails exactly how I like them. I've been about 7-8 times and it's gone downhill since the first time. The people we've had are not very good at what they do and leave a gap at the cuticle so after a week it looks like you already need a fill-in. My last pedicure was terrible. It was an old guy and I'm not sure if he just couldn't see well but I had 4 cuts on the end of one of my toes. So, then it really burned when he used products on it. He also cut the sides of my toenails which ended up giving me an ingrown toe nail that won't heal. It ended up infected twice. When I went in today nobody could tell me how long the wait was because I don't think they understood English so I left and went somewhere new. read more

While the location is new and has a nice/beautiful vibe, my experience has been frustrating. My first experience was not good - just an overall bad pedicure with little attention. I gave the location another few tries and was pleased. However, my last experience was 2 days ago. I received a deluxe gel pedicure. When I returned home two of my nails were sloppy with a bumpy feel and polish randomly on my skin in multiple spots. I returned the next day and requested those nails to be fixed. They were very good about fixing them, however, today - 2 days later, another nail is completely chipped and without full polish. I will not be bringing my business there again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I got eyelash extensions done and woke up with a double eye infection. I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with infections and prescribed antibiotics. The owner refused to refund services and blamed it on an allergic reaction even though an actual doctor diagnosed infections. I have been getting services from The LuA spot for about 9 months. The owner is nice she greets everyone, but I always felt that the staff seemed more focused on providing the best service to those clients that will bring more money. This belief was solidified yesterday when I returned to the nail salon to get a nail repaired after having received powder dip two days prior,at that time the owner was not there. I pointed out to the tech who had done my nails two day ago that one of my nails role and I needed it repaired and she stated that she did not do my nails (mind you this tech has a very distinct feature about her that cannot be overlooked- she is the only pregnant tech there!). I again reaffirmed other that she had done my nails two days ago and I would like the nail repaired. During this time of the conversation the remaining techs that were present started speaking loudly in their native language and laughing- creating a very uncomfortable situation. She then told me I would have to get a tip to repair the nail, and I told her I'd I'd. It want a tip- (I have never gotten tips du to my job) she said that she could file it down, I told her I just wanted it fixed. She directed me to a station, pulled out a files and filed the broken nail even and asked me if I were happy as if she were done. I asked her to please redo the nail, she she clearly was not happy. She removed the old powder and replaced it. However at point where she had to buff the nail with an Emory block, I watched her pick one out the trash seated behind her and then turned to mr and began to buff my nail. I asked her very calmly if she just go that block out the trash. She then replied "no" and I told her her I watched you get that out the trash! She throws it down and walks off to get another block. Clearly, there was no money in repairing my nail, but every visit prior I would receive a pedicure and powder dip and always provided a tip. Some tech would do a great job with my dip and the work would last for 3 weeks without cracking but with this tech they would crack within a week and I would give her work the benefit of the doubt, but after this last experience she truly does poor work and will attempt to deny the poor quality of service she provided! Don't go there if you expect them to repair poor quality of work. This most recent experience made me feel as if my business is not need or appreciated, I will NOT be returning! read more

Some things to know before you go here: it's very chaotic and unorganized, there was stuff covering multiple stations and no place to put any of your stuff down, they rush through your nails and do ZERO preparation other than a drill (even if you have no product on prior to arriving), they did not seem to clean between clients, and they use the same dip powder container for every client. I walked out of the salon with painful nails do to a poor, rushed application. My nails were not brushed off between dip coats, which results in the dip powder coating the skin around my nails and being stuff under my nails. My nails were VERY uneven and thick in some areas, while thinner in other areas. They do not care for your cuticles or do any type of moisturizing to prep that skin before doing anything, either. The tech doing my nails was constantly talking to clients next to me that they would be getting them soon rather than paying attention to the client in front of them, while my manicure was rushed to the point that I believe the entire thing lasted no longer than 15 minutes. The tech doing my nails was rough and placed the blue light on top of the nails that she had just worked on, crushing my fingers. Overall, this experience was the worst of any that I have ever experienced at a nail salon and I would not recommend it to anyone I know. read more

worst nail salon ever :( i never write reviews but this one is deserved. I have been here three times the first time I went it went great, the last two were train wrecks. Pre-Covid I went to get my nails done with tips and dipped powder and the woman who did them barely addressed me and was on her phone the whole time. my nails came out terrible, crooked and ugly. I gave them a year to get it together and I went there last week because my normal place was closed and once again they messed my nails up. I went to get dipped and tipped powder and the man who did them began applying the dipped powder like acrylic and then said "oops" and applied the rest of my fingers normally. the polish on the three fingers he did like he was doing acrylic were 20x more sparkly then the other seven fingers and they all popped off a week later. I will never be returning ever this place needs to hire new people who care about what they are doing. read more

Very disappointed. I went in for acrylics and gel. Throughout my visit there were some mishaps I overlooked, but then I noticed that my nails were crooked and I had to point that out to the technician. I had polish stuck to my hand, my nails are different length and my real nails are visible on the side. This overall was a messy job. Disappointed and defeated, I went to pay the $42 without a fight until the technician charged an extra $5 and I also had to bring that to his attention.
