The self serve area and upstairs.

Passed thru here just 2 weeks ago and was again very pleased with this lounge. It was a Friday and I was heading from Cancun to Miami on American. My flight was delayed. I decided to go to The Lounge to kill a little time. I have Priority Pass (necessary for entry) and was welcomed inside. Multiple well dressed employees asked if I would like a drink or if I'd like to order food. I chose a super comfy chair by an electrical outlet and plugged in my iPhone. Sipped on a Coke Zero. The atmosphere was chill and I didn't feel like I was at the airport. Huge cudos to this lounge and how it is operated. The horrible Mera VIP lounges after security could learn from these folks how to do it right!

So easy to check in and a decent sized lounge. There were food items to choose from and a menu to order hot items. Everything was so delicious. We ends up ordering pasta and rice for the kids, my husband and I ordered Tacos with some coffee. Service was great, and the lounge was really clean and comfortable. It made the time go by so fast. Next thing we knew it was time to board our plane, thank you!

Another great visit to this little lounge just inside the main entrance (before security). Eric the bartender was here again and helpful as always. The small lounge has the basics and much better food than many other large lounges. Love the aviation decor throughout.

This was one of two lounges we visited in CUN becauze we had a lot of time to kill before our flight back to JFK. We stopped in on a Sunday at 8 AM and our group was the only group there at the time. They have some food items that you order, so I like that they go to the back and prep it for you instead of having it sit out all day. I ordered the salsiccia (basilly cut up hot dogs), which I didn't really care for, and some mushroom quesadillas and soup, which were actually pretty good. They did not skimp on the cheese for the quesadillas, and this was very comforting with the soup. It's a pretty good lounge and definitely better than any U.S. lounge. I'm not sure how packed it normally gets but the lounge is pretty small, so just keep that in mind. If it's full, there's always the Mera Business Lounge next door.

Woah, what happened!? Since my last visit just a few months ago, the service, food, and drinks drastically went downhill.

Small, crowded at certain times but clean. The service in here is great and the ladies are wonderful. Might be one of the better Priority Pass lounges I've visited in the Carribeans (but certainly not comparable to Centurion). Overall a pleasant experience with great wifi.

Oh hey now, good updates! Seems like they really listen to feedback / read our reviews. I reviewed this lounge 10 months ago and made comments about the tiny toddler-sized quesadillas, average chilaquiles, and the seats being stained / broken -- but it looks like all these quirks were fixed! Seats were in much better condition, the chilachilles now had their great green sauce and thus were THE BOMB (and served hottt and sooo cheesy! Love meee lots of Oaxaca cheese), and their good service was even better! Excellent! We were checked on very often, but without being too intrusive. Came around 7 a.m. on a Sunday and only 3 other travelers besides my husband and me. Fantastic :) Here you go The Lounge, you got your 5 stars now! Well earned.

Small and cozy lounge for domestic flights within Mexico. There was a queue to get in when we arrived, so the wait was about 15-20 mins. Once seated, it took some time to get the attention of the staff to order food. Very limited food/snack options but full bar for drinks. We ordered the mint mojito and we're offered a classic Mexico cocktail (can't remember name but it was delicious). Not a bad resting area outside of the busy terminal gates. Would return.

No one at the check in either, all inside that room enjoying themselves

No food or bar service, there are only water, soda and coffee. Only peanuts and slice bread available if you want to consider that as food offerings. There are a total of 5 staff members and they are all inside one of the private rooms inside the lounge eating chips, drinking soda and watching something loudly on their phone. They took in a large crate of chips and other snacks but seem to be enjoying them by themselves. From the look of things, better snacks are for the staff and NOT for the guests. The bathroom is dirtier and in worse condition than the ones by the gates. This has to be the worse lounge I have ever been to!

Sopes Con Pollo

I never have high expectations for an airport lounge, especially one that access is included for free with a credit card, so overall this place was not bad. We visited during a busy time and had to wait outside for a couple people to leave to gain access, and then had to wait again for a bit to find a spot to sit. They had all the usual items for drinks, athough hubby was a little disappointed in the lack of ice and the beers were not very cold. For food the ordering system was quite convenient and quick to order items via your phone. We got the Tacos de Carne, Sopes Con Pollo, & Birria De Res and while they didn't compare to the amazing food we had suring the previous 2 weeks of our Yucatan travels, they were all decent. Overall a good way to kill some airport time with some food & drink in a place to relax!

I wasn't sure what to expect. I will say it's better than I anticipated…read more The set up seems pretty efficient really. You land and enter on one side of the airport and arrive, enter, and depart from the other. This makes things pretty easy for customs and such. There are three terminals now and another one is being constructed as I type this review. Our driver told us all about it on the way back. Very chatty dude! I had been warned about all of the predatory tactics by the taxi and ride folks outside so I was prepared and not bothered by them. If you come here, take note of this. You can and will get scammed if you allow yourself to become a victim. Luckily we had prearranged the rides and were looking for very specific attire as well as signs for us to find. Just note this as others have said over and over. I will say it again for those in the back! There are tons of people waiting out front trying to get you to use their services. Those services vary a great deal in scammy/usefulness/end up dead in a ditch. Don't do the last one. No Bueno. My departure was interesting as we did not know what gate we were going to until about 10 minutes before boarding. Luckily the place is not that big so it was not an issue. We got there a couple hours early when we were leaving. There is plenty to do and lots to see while here. Have no fear! Consumerism is alive and well in Cancun Mexico! The whole place runs on it! Margaritaville is always a good time if you partake in the libations. They have a Guy Firebird or whatever there too. The duty free is only a deal because of reduced taxation. I found the items to be slightly higher than normal retail, at least for liquor. All in all it did what I needed it to do. Fly in, fly out, not get searched on the way in, or the way out. Not sure if I will come back to Cancun or not. I may have had my fill. We will see if I can score another 100% paid vacation next year for work! If so, I will see you again Amigos!! If not, it will be ok! ;) '26 - 51

Arriving at this airport was a straightforward process as well as going through immigration. Our…read moreluggage took longer than expected and they had 3 flights scheduled for the same belt. That resulted in an overcrowded situation and a long wait to get our suitcases. I realized when I arrived to my hotel that my suitcase was opened at some point but nothing was taken. Exiting the airport will face you with tons of people trying to sell you tours or other services They will ask you questions or attempt to walk you to their desk. I personally just kept on walking as I knew my transfer was outside. If you have a transfer scheduled, you might want to find out the number where they will be located as they have over 60 different areas or numbers where you can find your transfer as well as many people trying to offer you a taxi and other services. Some drivers may be waiting with a signbut just be aware ofnhow to locate your transfer before you arrive as you might be bombarded by people attempting to help you. Checking in with Jetblue was very similar to the process in places like Boston where you print your boarding pass and drop off your luggage. Except they added zip ties to our luggage in Cancun. They were in place when we got to our final destination. Our terminal had many food and souvenir options available. As usual, expect to pay more for items at airports but that's the same everywhere. Gates are announced about an hour prior to departure so you might wait around at a central location until they are announced. In our case, the boarding gate printed on our ticket was not listed on the screen once we entered the gate area. We received a gate change text and saw a gate announcement on the screen an hour before departure as they don't make many intercom announcements. So don't trust your ticket and check an hour before for gate confirmation.

Personally, I always pick Air Margaritaville because the service is dependable and the food is decent. There is also a Bubba Gump's and more. There are places to buy snacks for your flight. There are "duty free" mega stores with everything you can think of. There is a shoe store! There is even a Ray-Ban store with crazy prices (think Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer sunglasses Gen 1 for $700 when Sunglasses Hut USA retails them for under $299). There are lots of Mexican souvenir shops, but also with crazy prices. Tshirts were in the $32-$42 range. Even fridge magnets are $7+. There is ALWAYS a line for restrooms. Cleanliness varies by location. Mera Business Lounge sucks. Always a line - unless you are paying. If you are using your credit card perk for entry, they won't have a place for you. Paying $35? Go right in! Pretty much everything here closes between 7-8pm. If your flight is delayed or later than 8pm, there is no place to get food or drinks. Plan accordingly.

I didn't care to eat at restaurants that I could eat at home. Chairs at the gates are hard plastic so not very comfy when you think that you're getting on an international flight in a few hours. Watch out for the "interviewers" there. They act like they're in an official role, and maybe they are but literally they're walking up to random people and asking about where they stayed, where they're going, for their boarding pass and passport, and other personal questions. I can't believe people actually hand over their documents, fully in possession of some stranger in the open. They have nothing in hand to record or aggregate responses. Yeah, no thanks. Just walk away. My personal info stays that way.

I was looking for decent airport food while waiting for my flight back to the United States from Cancun (after a relaxing stay at the @joiabyiberostar Paraíso). What I found was a surprisingly delicious eatery providing tourists with the final flavors of the Yucatán. The colors and textures of the eatery are intended to remind tourists as much of the warmth and coziness of a hacienda as one can get from a food stall in an airport. Hacienda serves breakfast in addition to lunch and dinner specialties. This is not an eatery to enjoy if your plane is about to board--there was a fifteen-minute wait before the food was ready. I ordered the: Cochinita Tacos (Yucatán-style barbecued pork with pickled red onion) Lime Soup (chicken broth, sofrito, sour lime) Agua de Chaya (leafy perennial shrub native to the peninsula) Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. I am already planning a trip to the area this year. Usually someone who doesn't like to wait long at the airport, I will definitely make time to experience the panuchos, salbutes, and Motuleño-style eggs. It's rare that one is excited to eat airport food.
