Live band

TLDR : Great music and nice drinks!! Monkey business was a fun place to end our night with. We did not want to go clubbing so skipped the clubs and went around the hotel zone trying out different low key places. Monkey business was amazing with live music band and we ended up on a night they offer karaoke which turned out to be a lot of fun given their unique style of fun with a guy dressed up as a monkey. Their drinks are good and the service staff was pleasant.

This place was so much fun!! Stopped here on our first night in Cancun. If you don't want to pay a cover fee to go into the clubs, this bar is a great place to go. They had live music and interactive activities such as the conga line and karaoke if you're bold enough to go up :) Service was great too, making sure we were being taken care of.

Very tasty local cuisine

This is just outside Krystal hotel what a wonderful experience fantastic seen and lots of laughter as you listen to karaoke. Surprisingly, we were lucky enough to have several beautiful songs in this crazy monkey that comes around and he has a special surprise for you that I let you discover yourself, I must place a muscular place The food and service is excellent tasty and well seasoned. Are you gonna do with this local cuisine?

Late night in Cancun and after walking the entire strip and bar hoping we ended up coming to this place because they had life music. No cover for entry was a plus and everyone was really nice. Temperature was taken and sanitizer for shoes and hands before we entered. Our server showed us to a table and we ordered the chips and salsa with chicken and steak and lime margaritas. Reasonable prices. The chips were handmade and Salsa were fantastic. The meat was tender and everything was hot. Lots of guacamole behind the cream cheese. Fresh ingredients. Everything tasted delicious. The margarita arrived and I wasn't impressed by the glass or presentation but OMG the flavor was 100/100 really good quality tequila, something that I need to add is that I noticed the straw was made of corn, and that was innovative, any effort to recycle and contribute to the save planet is appreciated. There was a very talented band playing rock, the audience got captivated by them. The female singer had a fantastic strong voice. A few other cover songs were played by a male singer he was also very talented, they both complemented each other other while they played a few covers and some requests from the audience. It's was a powerful, smooth, melodious performance. We had fun listening to some old classic rock. My friends wanted to try hookah (first timers) and our server came with a box and explained them everything about it and all the flavors they went for watermelon. Service was awesome, attentive and friendly and the server was always checking on us. We had another round of drinks and really enjoyed our night out there. If you ever in downtown Cancun this is a great spot. Thank me later!!! :)

Monkey Business restaurant and bar is a fun place in downtown Cancun on Kukulcan Boulevard. Somewhat touristy, but it is certainly fun for visitors and locals alike. The location is great and the view from the patio highlights much of the downtown Cancun action. Monkey Business has free WiFi, serves pretty good food, and they have karaoke. I indulged in the karaoke and had a great time. Regarding the beer, you can get a 32 ounce Modelo for $7 bucks, which is not a bad deal at all. Regarding the service, the staff has always done a great job for us. They are prompt, efficient, and very friendly. If you decide you want to join in on the karaoke, there are playlists floating around. If you can't find a playlist, just ask your server. In addition, if your cannot find your "go to" song like Carless Whisper (Joe G.), just ask the server who will inquire with the DJ. Chicken Fried by Zac Brown wasn't on the playlist, but the DJ was able to hook it up. Overall, Monkey Business is a great spot to chill, have a snack, have some drinks, sing a song, and then head off to the next spot.

This is the quietest place in the hotel zone Cancun. They have great live bands that play a few hours a night. The food, drinks and dessert are all great. I am letting everyone know that you have to be here before 9pm as Cancun is on a curfew and all places close early by 11pm.

This was super good! The flavor was just right the steak was so tender a nice gentleman that works at coco Bongo recommended

We just arrived in Cancun and was looking for something light to eat after not eating since breakfast at the airport. Something "light" in Mexico sounds weird, I know. We found this place right next to our hotel and I ordered grilled chicken & vegetables and it was delicious. Very tender, marinated in a very chimichanga sauce. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Great outdoor venue in the Cancun Hotel Zone. We just got beers, and they were cold and refreshing. The band was pretty good too.

Sucha fun place with great bar bites and hookah! Don't be fooled by the looks, the food and service here is really pretty good and the karaoke just adds to the fun! Was a great find and fun to stumble into! Surprisingly exceeded our expectation!

I spent my 28th birthday here. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and customer service. They offer free birthday shots, live music, and karaoke. This place is highly recommended.

Had a lot of fun in Monkey Cancun. The service was very good. There was a lived band playing and it was really good, they also has karaoke. We had chimichangas, and they were delicious!

We had been walking in the area earlier that day and made a plan to come back for dinner. When we arrived there were a lot of people but we were seated immediately. Martin was our waiter and he was great. There were a few large screen TVs playing sports. There was live music. A lot was going on but it really worked. People were enjoying themselves and the wait staff was friendly and talkative. I ordered shrimp fajitas and my husband ordered the mole. He always orders mole. The meals were very good. We ordered a mango margarita and Tecate. The margarita came with a tehine rim. I just wiped it off. That is becoming so popular. I decided to indulge in the banana dessert and I am glad I did. It came with a show. That was fun and the dessert was delicious. We were there earlier in the evening and we saw many couples and families. I'm sure the place gets a little more livelier as the night goes on. If you are in the area, this is a good place to eat and enjoy your time in Cancun.

The wait staff forms a conga line to deliver a margarita, carried atop a sombrero! The play tunes and dance around inviting diners to join them. Service is attentive & excellent! The menu has 90% Mexican specialities, but also has pasta, burgers and vegetarian. I was there with friends who had quesadillas & I had chicken enchiladas. Everything was good & portions were big. I just drank water, so cannot comment on the drinks. I had the flan for dessert, which was generous in size & ok. One of my friends had the flaming bananas & said it was so yummy! Everything is surprisingly (for Cancun) priced affordable. My enchiladas were about $12. I would happily return here! So much fun!

They were pretty dead, so we thought our service would be quick. It wasn't. We were sat at a dirty table with sticky/mildew-smelling menus. I ordered chicken strips thinking it was a meal that couldn't be messed up. They had no taste at all. None! My fiancé loved his burger and ate his fries and mine. The chicken went to waste, unfortunately. All in all, it's an ok place to try if you're looking for American food. I just didn't enjoy my experience. When we left the restaurant and walked towards the street near the ice cream shop, the photographer from this restaurant ran after us and asked us to buy our photos. She was so far away from the restaurant & I was shocked that she followed us just to make that sale. My fiancé felt sorry for her and bought a photo and let her keep the change. In the past this place has always been a staple for us, but each year we go we like it a little less. This year majority of the group was disappointed in the entire experience from the service to the food. To start, the service was lacking compared to what we get at other local restaurants nearby. Our servers did not frequently come back to ask if we needed anything and we were constantly having to ask to get our waters refilled. The drinks are good, but nothing we can't get elsewhere. Half of our group enjoyed (but not loved) their food and half did not enjoy. My SO and I split the al pastor meal. In the past we have loved this, but this time it felt like they rushed to make it and the flavors we remembered just weren't there. It was still good, but I think it could have been better. I do love the churro cart here, but you can get good churros several other places. Overall, this place has gone downhill in our opinion, and for the price it isn't worth it when there so many better options close by. I saw so many videos and read so much hype about this place. I was excited to try it. I was just as disappointed when I threw out my burrito after a couple of bites. The food here is not good. It is so basic. I ordered chili cheese fries, and a burrito. For the burrito, you have to complete a form for your customizations, which I thought was going to be efficient. Unfortunately, despite my burrito, having everything in it that it was supposed to, I was overwhelmed by the massive amount of onions. Additionally, I was underwhelmed by the amount of shrimp inside my burrito. There weren't many at all and the entire burrito literally tasted like nothing. I ordered the shrimp and mahi. There was absolutely nothing remarkable about it. For a second, I almost wondered if I had Covid because the flavor was so lacking. But after speaking to friends of mine who also visited, I realized that I wasn't the only one. In total, I spent about US$32 on an order of chili cheese fries, a jerk, chicken, quesadilla, and a burrito. Fries: so bland. I wanted to throw them out, but I saved them and took them back to my hotel and added salt. It helped a bit, but these were overwhelmingly underseasoned and lacking flavor. The portion, however, was huge. Two out of five. Burrito: more mahi-mahi than shrimp, and neither protein was flavorful. The entire burrito was very bland and was full of more onions than I would ever care to eat. The burrito wasn't OK size, but it did not taste good. Two out of five. Jerk, chicken quesadilla: basic. Not super flavorful. And the chicken did not taste like jerk chicken at all. It didn't even have jerk flavor. Didn't even taste like they rolled the chicken in a little bit of jerk before cooking it. Three out of five. The staff noticed that I did not eat much of my food and asked if I didn't like it. I informed them that I did not like it and that I didn't think it had enough flavor. They did not care. I didn't fully expect them to because I know customer service is very different in Mexico, but I expected more. She even asked if the burrito was too spicy, which was hilarious because there was nothing spicy or even flavorful about it. This is very much a hole in the wall, kind of spot that has been blown up on social media. Very casual vibes, and there appears to be a small roof area where you can overlook the street. I would not return here. I also would not recommend it. Another example of influencers likely getting free food in exchange for review reviews.
