Had our wedding here in Feb 2023. We worked with Eric who was absolutely AMAZING. Eric helped us plan all of our venue needs from beginning to end, available by phone whenever we had any questions or ideas. We really appreciated Eric's honest opinions and advice. Visiting the Loft to go over venue plans, etc. was so wonderful every time we went. On the day of, we also worked with Tricia (maitre d) and Isabela (bridal assistant) who were fabulous as well. We felt so, so, so lucky to have worked with Eric, Tricia, and Isabela for our wedding. Everything went super smoothly and they anticipated our every need, also making sure the venue details (lighting, centerpieces, decor, etc.) were exactly how we wanted/planned. WOW!!!! I wish i could give more stars on here. What an amazing venue. Our amazing experience began when we booked our daughter's party with Samantha. She is such a pleasure to deal with. She always got right back to us with any questions we might of had. Sam is very accommodating. She worked with us on every detail you can think of. A true professional.... When we arrived at the Loft for our party, everything we discussed was in place perfectly and ready to go. Trish was our Maitre d'. She was also amazing. Her attention to detail was so on point. She made sure everything we asked for was delivered exactly as we had hoped for. She made my family and friends so comfortable. WHEN you book your event at the Loft, you must request her. The venue itself is gorgeous. All of my family and friends were blown away with the decor, amazing food, and service. From the outdoor patios, cocktail hour room, and ballroom, there was plenty of room for everything. We had 146 guests and no one felt cramped. We got the lighting package from them and it looked beautiful. Another great feature about the place is one event at a time. DO NOT BOOK AN EVENT UNTIL COVID IS TRULY OVER AND DONE, THEY WILL POCKET YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE YOU WITH NOTHING. OWNER IS CONTRACTUALLY OBLIGATED TO REFUND ME BUT DENIES COVID AS AN ACT OF GOD AND REFUSES TO HONOR MY CONTRACT. I was planning a wedding for December of 2020. When the outbreak occurred I called to discuss options and was told 'not to worry' and that they're taking it day by day. I understood. Months went by and I would call at the instructed times they'd post on their Instagram and I'd be met by radio silence. My emails were ignored for weeks at a time and ultimately although we are in a full on pandemic they refuse to refund me or reschedule my wedding because they are HOPING to be open by December. MY CONTRACT CLEARLY STATES THAT IF THERE IS AN 'act of God' THAT KEEPS THE WEDDING FROM HAPPENING THEY WILL RESCHEDULE AT NO COST TO ME. WHEN I SAID THIS, THE OWNER TOLD ME COVID-19 DOESNT COUNT AS AN ACT OF GOD. TELL THAT TO THE THOUSANDS WHO HAVE DIED. How do you plan a wedding at a venue that is unsure. Also, NYC is a hotspot and it would be better to keep everyone safe to reschedule. The naked truth is they want me to explicitly cancel so that they can pocket my money instead of doing the right thing and refunding me. I get the pleasure of working in this beautiful venue all the time alongside their incredible staff but this review is specific for one staff member who I witnessed recently go above and beyond. A few weeks ago before the start of a wedding the building lost power due to weather and an earlier rain storm, it was HOT. Trish took control and knew she was on a timetable to try and make something happen before the ceremony commencement. The guests were arriving and she was reassuring them that all would be ok soon. She was running trying to get fans and water for the guests while still directing her staff for preparation of the reception. It was a bad situation where I have seen many in the wedding industry throw their hands up and say "it's not my fault or my problem". Trish hustled and moved to accommodate all of the guests despite her terrible situation. Just as the bride began walking down the isle, the sun came out and all the power came back on. The remainder of the wedding went off without a hitch. I've been working in the wedding industry for many years and in this moment I personally watched Trish step up, be a manager, take control and certainly keep her cool. read more

Had my daughter's engagement party here yesterday. The place is beautiful, it looked beautiful when I viewed the venue, but once it was all set up for the party, it was even better than we expected! Jenn, who helped us plan the party, was awesome and everything turned out exactly the way we wanted. She was available whenever I reached out, was so helpful and made suggestions that worked for us. Just had my 9/22/18 wedding here and I can't say enough good things. As we were told we were constantly being pulled at every direction and were expecting to not eat. Well after our ceremony our bridal attendants Tricia & Isabella greeted us with our signature drinks before going back up to our bridal suite. When we got up there they had a little something from all of our cocktail stations waiting for us. They knew we were going to get mobbed once we went down so they had that prepared. After every photo shoot my girls Tricia and Isabella were handing us drinks and asking if we were good. They were constantly directing us where to go and how we were on timing. Breaking it down on the dance floor I naturally got hot I told Isabella and she immediately went to make it cooler. All those small things mean so much!!!! The venue did an amazing job setting up and making sure things went smooth. Thank you to Jenn our coordinator for all your suggestions and help. I recently had my daughter's wedding at the Loft June 2018 and was not happy with the venue. We had an bridal attendant, who helped us at first and then we could not find her. We were waiting for the wedding to start and wanted water however, we could not find her, so my daughter went behind the bar and gave the people water. Before the ceremony started we walked out by the water and there were little gnats flying around. I would think that the venue would do something to get rid of the gnats so the people would not be bothered getting bit. We could not enjoy the cocktail hour outside because of the bugs. We had the passed hor d ouvers but the trays were not that full and if you were not standing in the right place you may not have gotten very many. I the mother of the bride got only five hor d ouvers. At times there was no bartender attending the bar and my guests told me weeks later that the beer was warm. They knew a wedding was happening, so I could not understand why the beer was not cold. People were leaving to go home and the favors were not out for the guest to take. I had to mention to them to bring out the favors. Although the place looks nice the service was poor. read more
