This was our dream venue after attending a bat mitzvah here 4 years ago and comparing every wedding to it since. Their food and premises is unlike any other. We had our wedding here a few weeks ago on a Sunday and it was perfect in every way. Our guests are still raving about the amazing cocktail hour and unreal dessert presentation. Working with Kenny and Mary was a pleasure. And they do a package for Sunday weddings that includes a base package for florist, dj (can eliminate if you want a band), and photographer/ videographer. AND these vendors were amazing (florist: dalsimer spitz and peck, photo/ video: ira Rosen studio/ Lou Lou photography). We can't say enough good things about the venue and pray we convinced some guests to get married here so we can go back as guests! Truly no one does it better. Late to getting to making a review,but Kenny and Mary and rest of staff went above and beyond for our sons bar mitzvah.We did a twilight party but felt like the party went into the night. They do an amazing affair each and every time! We have been to a dozen Bar Mitzvahs and weddings here and we have never been disappointed! I don't know how many wedding guests there were, but the cocktail hour could not comfortably accomodate all the people. There was minimal seating and it was very crowded. The various food I and my boyfriend tried was cold, even the plated dinner, but it was very good. All, but my vegetable terrine atop a faux meat patty. Unappetizing. So I turned to my boyfriend's meal. What a flawless piece of beef. It barely made it into my mouth when it melted into a wonderful tidal of juicy flavor. Bravo to the caterer. I was delighted by the m.c. He was appropriately spirited and the role suited him so well. One tall gentleman stood awkwardly on the dance floor corner, like a scowling bouncer. Where do I begin...my wedding reception was on June 29,2019 & up until guest are calling / texting telling us it was the best wedding ever. Guest were well attended to and well fed. Everyone said every second you turned around food was being served. The dessert was phenomenal. As a bride I enjoyed every moment - I was truly treated like a princess which of course I loved! My Maitre'd was absolutely the best - she was amazing at everything from helping me in the restroom to ensuring I was well hydrated. Where do we start... My now wife and I just had our wedding at Temple Avodah with Kombert Caterers. They were the first venue we met with and after spending thirty minutes with Kenny we immediately knew we had found our wedding venue. We have heard so many horror stories over the years about other weddings at other venues and we just could see that the level of competence and compassion that Kombert Caterers displayed would ensure zero chance of anything going wrong. The communication throughout the year leading up to the wedding was top notch. We never had any emails or phone calls go unanswered. They were so patient and accommodating in the weeks leading up to the wedding as well and truly made sure that we had everything in place in advance to eliminate any last minute running around or forgetting anything. Mary is a MUST for anyone getting married here. She was truly unbelievable. She made sure the night of our wedding was the greatest night of our lives. When we showed up with our wedding party early they had an unbelievable spread of food and alcohol waiting for us. THEIR FOOD IS AMAZING. The cocktail hour was by far the best anyone has ever experienced. The party was beautiful and the DESSERT!!! OMG!! People are still raving. As a side note the Rabbi who married us (Rabbi Goren) was also UNBELIEVABLE. We were told by friends that already were married that something would go wrong the day of our wedding..at least one thing and we need to just realize it would all work out and not let it ruin our time. They did not get married at avodah though with Kombert because then they all would not have even thought there was a chance. Literally EVERYTHING was perfect.. not one thing went wrong. From the first phone call with Mary, to schedule our meeting with Kenny, we instantly felt comfortable and at ease. After meeting with Kenny we knew we had to have our wedding at Temple Avodah with Kombert Caterers. It was the first and only venue that we went to see. We met with Kenny on a Saturday afternoon and by Monday morning we had officially booked our wedding date. Kenny and Mary were AMAZING to work with. Every email was always answered in the timely manner - we even received responses in the evenings, after work hours. Mary was always available through email, text or for a phone call. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from information to advice, she did it all. Kenny made sure everything ran smoothly and every detail was accounted for, from our first meeting, leading up to and the day of our wedding. He was there for the entire event to see everything through. Our Bridal attendant and Matr'd were also phenomenal. Before the wedding ceremony my mom's strap broke on her shoe and they were able to somehow fix it so she was able to wear them. Later on, the bridesmaids also found that my bustle had broken and they quickly sprang into action and sewed it up, before I walked into the reception. Almost three months later our guests are still raving about our wedding. From the phenomenal food, to the exceptional service they provided. The cocktail hour is out of this world with items like champagne popsicles, truffle mac and cheese, and a wide variety of stations - a grilled cheese station, a tapas and tequila station, a southern comfort station (paired with moonshine lemonade), a deli station, a pasta station and everything in between. We had five choices of entrees (filet mignon, chicken, duck, salmon, and vegetable), which were all enjoyed by our guests. The desserts are another unique and unlike anything you have seen anywhere else. They walk around from table to table offering a wide variety of desserts and after dinner drinks - we had a s'mores station where they actually roasted the marshmallows in front of you, hot pretzels, ice cream sundaes, sorbet in fruit cups, a cordial bar and just about anything you could think of or want for dessert and it was all phenomenal. Most of our guests have said it was by far the best wedding they have ever been to, with the best food and amazing, attentive, service. Each table of guests claimed that they received the best service from the staff. I very rarely give 5-star reviews....they have to be earned. This group delivers an absolute top notch experience where they truly over-deliver. The food was outstanding, the service impeccable and don't even get me started about the dessert....it is an experience to say the least. WOW. Amazing service, everything is very detailed and thought out. the food is outstanding, without doubt the best wedding food I have ever had. This place is super detail oriented. They hand out cool mini water bottles while you're dancing so you don't have to go back to your seat as well as mini icepacks. They just make the entire experience amazing. We have been to a few weddings and bar mitzvah's here. The food is as good as it gets. The appetizers are so delicious, that you wind up wrapping up your dinner and take it home .
