STAY AWAY!!! If I could give this place zero stars based on the management alone, I would. They are awful to deal with, unfriendly, unprofessional, and don't know how to run a venue properly or deal with customers properly. My friend's baby shower was being hosted there by her family, I was helping with planning. We were told they don't allow outside vendors for background decor and their minimum packages start at $1600. This was a small event and that was out of budget for just balloons. First of all, the contact I was given was terrible at responding and communication. When I did speak to him, he tells me to meet with him and he'll work with us. Ok. Finally made an appointment with another person, she tells me, we do allow outside vendors when I told her we would rather go somewhere else. She gave me some BS excuse and then tells me they can't do anything about the balloon decor price even though the other person said he'd help. These people are disorganized and don't even speak to each other. She never mentioned other things paying extra for a seat on the stage. We left without a solution. I found another decor person who did a fabulous job at a much lower cost. The day of the party, the owner comes and says why didn't we use their vendor, they don't allow outside vendors. Like, REALLY? You people need to get your act together. And then we can't use the chaise because it "belongs to them" and we have to pay extra. For an ugly, dirty, old broken piece of crap. The management people are the WORST! Then they set up the tables wrong, wrong size, wrong chairs, wrong color napkins. They run out pina colada mix not even half way through. This place is run down, dirty everything. The chairs, linens, the doors are broken, it's so ghetto yet they have the audacity to act like a-holes. The only good thing, Sima the event manager and her staff were great! She was so helpful and kind, loved her. The rest of you at this hellhole suck! read more

The valet there parked my car and when I came out, it was already pulled up at the front. It is night time, and an oversight I will never have again, I did not check my car for damages. I parked my car in my driveway and and had an appointment few days later at BMW for service and they noticed the damage and made me aware of it as soon as I pulled in. I had not driven my car anywhere else after attending the event at Antuns. The valet did not mention anything to me either. I contacted the owners Rekha and Raj. They were empathetic and said they would see what they can do with the valet company that takes care of the cars there. She also have me his number and it went nowhere with the owner. He said his guys, "kids" who parked cars that night had no idea. After a while of reaching out to the owners, they just ignored my messages. I am business owner myself and I don't need to accuse someone to get my car fixed if I am not 100% sure it was the wrong doing on their part. I am disappointed in this business on how they handled this. ***Check out the other reviews of valet on here. I am not alone. The photos on the website are not representative of how the venue looks. It is rundown especially the exterior...which serves as vital 1st impression upon arriving. There were no staff to greet & direct us when we arrived. Asked the guy in coat check for the elevator for my mom who can't manage stairs.. 1st told me no elevator, then when I pushed said it's only for wheelchairs, and after my future insistance finally reluctantly came out and walked her to a sketchy freight elevator at the back. My parents were sent up alone, and stuck for a few mins as the elevator was locked on the 2nd floor. The food was greatly disappointing, did not taste great at all. During the buffet service it was self serve, with 3-4 wait staff standing off to the side. The level of customer service could've jumped up just by them serving food to us guests. There was no visible management or maitre'd, which should be a staple of every function. Took some time for us to find someone to dim the lights which still were on bright an hour and half into the event, as well as to turn off the heat blasting during a summer party. The bathroom also was not in great condition. We were one of 1st to arrive...1 stall has broken dispenser so tissue roll was on the floor, paper towels on counters not on dispenser, and did not look like it was recently cleaned as it should've been at start of event. Came here for a fundraiser today. I was expecting the worst reading the awful reviews on YELP. I think the inside could definitely use a bit of a renovation. The details on cleanliness are just non-existent. Everything from the carpet's having small stains to the bathroom looking like a scene straight out of the Port Authority, it was a bit of a turn-off. However, the ballrooms were pretty spacious. We had a great DJ and the room was full of exciting techno lights so I guess it didn't matter as much what the inside looked like at the end of the day. I actually enjoyed the food. They served fried chips, beet salad, potato salad, some sort of veggie curry, chicken tikka masala, Baingan bagara eggplant and ras malai with fruit for dessert. I've been coming to Antuns for as long as I could remember for different types of parties whether it would be baby showers or engagements or weddings. We had a pre-wedding party for my sister and I was shocked. Everything was perfect and the food was absolutely amazing - which is something I don't ever expect from halls. They do make their own food in-house and they're actually well known for catering. They've catered several of our parties at our house and the food has never disappointed. You literally cannot go wrong with any [indian] dish on the menu. But yes, back to the hall. The drinks were great, the bartender got the job done and the manager would check in every once in a while to make sure our event was running smoothly. read more

Shithole extraordinaire. What a dump. This place is another catering hall that has been around for a long time. It was recently bought and is run by new management - my brother had a party here for his kid and let me tell you, I could have tossed as better shindig at a crackhouse. The place is small and "used". The parking is all the way around the back and then you have to walk down a trash strewn alley to get to the front door. My best friend got married at Antun's. The place is nice for something a little bit more intimate. Like many wedding halls, the place had multiple entrances for different groups. Each room was pretty big though which was definitely a plus. As for the food, that was what was most surprising to me because it was delicious. Normally I don't like wedding food, as I feel it lacks flavor and depth but I loved the Pakistani/Indian food served here. My favorite was the saag paneer, it was creamy and didn't lack seasoning at all. The regular pulao was great as well. We had our engagement held at Antuns by Minar last month. The manager who worked with us (Akram) was extremely helpful. The set-up/decor was exactly as we expected/thought of. It matched our theme perfectly which was gold and peach. The food was extremely good. We still get compliments on the food that was served and all the set up. Overall, I think Akram and his staff did a wonderful job in making our event very special and memorable for my fiance and I and our guests. Let me first talk about the food. I am Turkish and my husband is Pakistani, we wanted something that everyone will enjoy and send their taste buds on a trip. Raj helped with the menu and we even opted out of doing food testing, this is how much we trust him. The food the night of the wedding was AMAZZZINGGG!! Next, all of the deserts were also just perfect (I was obsessed with the gulab jamun, I kept asking for more.) Also, most weddings I have been to the bride and groom do not get a chance to eat, not at Antuns, Raj made sureeee my husband and I ate!!! We got to try everythingggg that was selected on the menu, and it was finger licking GOODDDD!!!!!!! Raj also helped me book my DJ, photo booth, cake, bouquet since I was a rather busy bride. Let me just say he did an amazinggg job. DJ Gudha was amazing in transitioning from Punjabi music to Turkish to English!!!... The photo booth that Raj picked was also the best, my guests could not stop taking pictures... The cake was delicious and came out with flares!!... The bouquet was immaculate ! Now regarding the stage, IT WAS PERFECTTT and much more beautiful than I pictured it would be. The backdrop made the professional photos we took come out AMAZINGG!!! I could not stop turning around to look at it!! The center pieces we with the small LED lights made the room pop in more when the lights in the room were dimmed. The tables runners, chair covers, bows etc. was crisppppppppp and just perfect!!!!!!!!! The guests are still talking about my wedding. They cannot stop talking about the food and how gorgeous the hall is, and the amazing friendly staff. My cousin loved the place so much she booked and had her wedding there yesterday. We had our blessing ceremony for our LO (little one) on Sept 9, 2017 and the staff as well as their manager messed up our entire menu. For appetizers, we had requested Masala Idli, they served no Idli and claimed it was not a part of our menu. Similarly mango lassi, Chana Masala for our Jain guests, papad, assorted naans were not served till we requested and mentioned that it was all discussed and confirmed by their Event Manager. The Mushroom appetizer was tasteless and inspite of mentioning that we wanted peas in our paneer subji, it was missing. After the event, we even called and told the Event Manager about all this, which clearly was not taken seriously and nothing has been done till today. No refund, no sorry, absolutely nothing. Most outstanding individuals with the best service! I have had the most memorable and wonderful experience doing a pre-engagement dinner gathering for my sister here at Minar Antuns. We came in few days prior to the event (yes so last minute) but Simran just did her magic and made it happen. I had my akth there. We were looking for a smaller venue and it fit the bill. We worked w/ VJ Khan, who was the banquet manager. He was able to accommodate our request for decorations and halal food. The selection and quality of food exceeded our expectations. We wanted to have lollipop chicken from Saagar Chinese as an addition to the appetizer menu, and they allowed us to do so. These chicken wings are like crack to Bengali people. If you're reading this review, and are thinking, "hmmm that sounds interesting, I should try it".... you should! I can't comment on how well they can accommodate Western events, but they are worth a look if you need something simple and aren't in the market for a Bollywood style extravaganza. read more

Went here for an engagement celebration in the medium sized ballroom. The glitz and glamor of the place is felt as soon as you walk through the doors. I was a little turned away from the few holes that I saw on the table cloths and how non-interactive some of the staff were. The food here was excellent and well done for a catered event. The food is served buffet style but for the glitz and glamor that was on the outside, you'd expect servers at the hot table assisting with the serving. All in all the place is worth a visit for the food and decor, but service and tables need a little work. Akash was very professional and went above and beyond to find the exact green color that our sister was looking for on the stage. Food was delicious!!! I just got married this past weekend, and we had our pre-wedding festivities held here. I can't speak for how the American functions are held & run -- but I had my garba/sangeet party here -- and it was honestly exceptional. All our guests were shocked at the quantity and variety of food that was arranged for us. We worked with Sam, and he really made the whole process VERY smooth (which is so hard to find these days) -- and we are glad it all went without any difficulties. My mother and I felt that Sam was very reasonable, and never tried to "pull one over" ... as many companies in this wedding industry would probably try. I had wanted to hold my wedding here and gave them a deposit before the pandemic and signed a contract. My event was cancelled because of the lockdown. When I tried to reschedule, they doubled the price for the event blaming the pandemic and wouldn't return my security deposit even though they were the ones that were breaking the contract. This is horrible place to have party. I had my daughter's surprise birthday party on July 24th. I made lots of efforts to have a great party with music, decor, and food but owner made all their efforts to destroy it. Their party hall is not bad at all but the way buffet room was presented was not matching at all with the commitment made at the time of booking. Their buffet room is horrible and the way they presented is looks more bad. These are the following mistakes: 1. They had suggested the white curtains to be removed and I had agreed to this. However, the white curtains were still present during the party and it was not up to my standards. Owner said that they were doing me a favor to have those white curtains but I do not believe so as that is simply not what I had asked for. White curtains was dirty and had lots of black spots. 2. I paid $25 per table for the center piece and we had agreed to have both red and white flowers as written in our contract but white flowers were missing. 3. Out of the 6 appetizers (3 Veg and 3 Non-Veg), only 2 appetizers were supposed to be passed ( one of each ) and the remaining 4 were supposed to be available in the buffet. But all the veg appetizers were missing from the buffet table. On top of that, they were serving samosa and chat papri which was not even in my menu. Their manager, Mr. Ali told me that owner did not order enough materials to make my appetizers and that's why serving samosa and pani puri from next door party. owner said they were doing me a favor but this was highly unprofessional. There were only 2 non-veg appetizers on the buffet table and it was looking awful. I had very awkward position to go in the front of my guest . Some of my guests were vegetarian and were starving when I came to the party about 7:30pm and found out what was happening. 4. The food was very cold when the main course was served and how can anybody enjoy the food when the food is cold and the buffet room is in poor condition compared to the hall itself. It was a very awkward position for myself. 5. The hall was not setup like we had discussed, scrapbook and gift tables were both missing. I'm glad I was able to see it before the party started at 3:15pm when I dropped off the cake and was able to rearrange the layout myself. 6. There was no sign display of the party downstairs as you had told me. It seems like you promised a lot of things at the time of the booking but failed to deliver half of it, highly unprofessional. Vijay was awesome he helped us set the best menu and after a year they are still raving about the food. The food is halal. They were very accommodating with our needs and helpful with my questions. We were doing an all girls party for sangeet and they set us up with a female staff and closed the doors for privacy. I would highly recommend them. The only complain I have is the cake. Tinsy thing! the cake was horrible and we were doing the desert table and didnt care about the cake but decorating wise I would say simple is best as I got a lopsided cake. We celebrated my son's and daughter-in-laws wedding last Saturday. From the minute we got there everyone was very attentive. The decorations were beautiful. They did an amazing job with the centerpieces. Akram sent me numerous photos so I could choose the right color flowers and he did not disappoint. They were beautiful. There's not enough great things that my husband and I can say about Raj and our experience at Antun's by Minar. We had our wedding of over 300 guests towards the end of July 2019. When we first met with Raj, we had a good feeling that we were going to use Antun's for our reception. Not only was Raj down to earth and direct with answering the wide ranging topics and concerns we had for our event, he helped us get in touch with multiple vendors to use. When we weren't satisfied with somebody we met, he immediately had more people lined up to help us with our photography and DJ needs. We'd like to think we became close to Raj in the almost 10 months we spent planning the event. He had full availability to meet or discuss the ongoing plans and deal with new issues at they came up. We knew from shopping around that the price we got was incredible, especially considering how many things we had included. We brought our families in to do the food tasting and everybody loved it. Our reception was a fusion wedding, with half American and Indian guests. Navigating the different cuisines to help keep all our guests happy proved way easier than we thought it would be. The American, Italian and Indian food that we all went with (not to mention the pasta and Mexican stations during cocktail hour) were delicious. Raj not only provided the decorations for our wedding reception, but he also decorated our Jaggo event a few days prior that was held off site. The stage, tables and decorations came out perfectly on both evenings. We consider ourselves very fortunate that there's really not a single major thing we can complain about the entire process, from the planning to the execution of everything on the night of the event. Raj's attention to detail and ability to scramble to help get us everything we wanted made us feel truly welcome. It goes without saying, for anybody who is considering hosting an event at Antun's, they should follow that instinct. Raj is a great person, his staff are very friendly and hardworking and it all came together for a perfect night. We would (and have) recommend Antun's to any and all our friends and family members and hope that we can attend more events there in the future. I have hosted two events within the last 6 months at Antuns and I wouldn't have chosen any other place. My daughters Akika was planned here in August and her 1st birthday, which was this passed weekend. The staff at Antuns is very professional and accommodating. Rekha pays attention to details and went above and beyond what I expected. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful and all my guests are still raving about it. I attended this place for a wedding reception and had to valet my car. upon arriving home after the party, i realized my personal belongings were missing from my car and i reached out to Antuns for answers and to have them talk to their staff or watch cameras, and other possible ways we can find out about the loss. Antuns promised to take liability of the stolen goods since they hired a 3rd party company for valet,( they dont let you park your car yourself, you HAVE to valet it), however no body followed up with me nor ever got back to me, I was never contacted again regarding this issue and its extremely unprofessional and shitty to not take responsibility. read more

I had my nikkah event at Antuns this past weekend and I still have people talking about how beautiful the event was. From the first day my family and I met with Raj, to the day of the event managed by Akram, everything was more than what we expected.
