Very disappointed and wont go back. My cobb salad looked and tasted like a salad that had been made the day before. The dressing was coagulated and the greens were stuck together and wilted. The chicken was dry and tough and hard to cut even with a knife. When I complained the waitress couldnt have cared less. Next day I went to Jeff the manager who was rude and combatively defended this indefensible food which wasn't cheap! Talk about Gaslighting! read more

Excellent local sourced restaurant with fresh ideas and clean food. A must try if you are looking for a different experience. Most items are either house made, local, farm to table, organic. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Service is great and the price is fair. Kid and everything friendly. read more

Went went to lunch and enjoyed the Mulberry margarita. Friends had the Cobb Salad and Smoked Turkey sandwich. Love the Pig and Fig sandwich (sweet and salty). Service was friendly and efficient place had a nice vibe. Would like to try their happy hour. read more

The only bad thing I can say about The Local, is that is it not "local" to me! I live in Southern California. While driving down from Tampa to Fort Lauderdale we stopped by to have lunch during our drive, man was it a good decision. The vibe and look of the restaurant is really nice, and the food amazing. Service was so friendly and attentive. I had the Skirt Steak Pastrami, my son one of beef burgers and my wife and Kale Caesar with added grilled chicken breast. All of us enjoyed our meals. My Skirt Steak Pastrami was full of flavor and the bread fresh. All in all it was a great stop for lunch. Again if only they had one closer to where I live or in the Fort Lauderdale area where my son lives, it would be much easier for a deserved return visit. read more

Wanted something healthy, so stopped by for the Korean influenced mushroom-eggplant vegan tacos, which comes with either fries or salad. I'd had them before knowing it's a filling choice on its own, but had the smoked turkey chowder also. Like Goldilocks, the chowder was neither gloppy nor watery, but right texture in between. The tacos were more like fajitas to me, but that's fine; comes with four small tortillas. Staff were definitely on their game, attentive without being intrusive. read more

Pros: Service was fast and good. Ambiance was cool. food was great. Cons: all the servers had the coiled snake libertarian symbols on the bottom/back of their shirts. Is this restaurant part of hydra? read more

I've been here a number of times and it's generally quite good. On my most recent visit, a side and a dessert weren't great. Thier pizzas are great, so are thier plant based dishes. They have a great selection of craft beers. The Brussels sprouts side could've been cooked longer. The apple pie crust was soggy and didn't taste fresh. Overall though it's a good place. The service was friendly and quick. read more

Food and service outstanding. Great Happy hour and early dinner specials. Part of strip mall but nice environment inside and out.

I really like this spot. We took a break driving to have lunch and the menu is FABULOUS and super healthy. I had the salad and my niece has the pizza both are great! Prices are decent and the service was good. We'll back on our next trip!! read more

Such a cute place! I'm shocked it took me so long to try it. We had the In-House Turkey Sandwich and Tinga Tacos. The turkey on my sandwich was very tender and the pesto mayonnaise accompanied it perfectly. I opted for the veggie chips instead of the potato chips. My sandwich was $15 and an extra $1 for the veggie chips. My dad got the Tinga tacos and liked it but we were both still hungry. He only got 2 tacos and for $15, I think that's a little pricey. His side salad was an extra $3 and was very small. All in all I will be back but only if I'm not extremely hungry. The quality is good but it is a bit on the costly side for what you get. read more

The Local is a rare find in Naples, with every ingredient tasting farm-fresh. Menu offerings are unique, healthy and delicious! I especially love the 3-course prefix; it's a great value. I also love that it's a family owned local business with caring service read more

I stopped in for a late lunch today as I just wanted something light and quick. Steamers is just a door away but it was so hot and sticky outside their chowder didn't call my name. The Local has good reviews, so I gave it a go. On a Tuesday in September at 2:30 I had the place to myself. It's a nice space, clean and bright with fun wall decor and artistically lettered chalkboards describing their beer menu and daily specials. I like the little potted succulents on the tables as they're a nice pop of fresh green against the dark wood tables. My server, Jessica, was five-star friendly and professional. Their house white is a Pinot Grigio, which I don't like, but the $9 Chardonnay was delicious. It's Taco Tuesday! so I ordered the Blackened Snapper Tacos. The corn tortillas were very light and delicate and there were plenty on the plate. The nicely-cooked fish was in good-sized pieces and topped with really fresh cabbage, lettuce, halved grape tomatoes, and too little of a delicious spicy aioli. I also tried the salsa verde on the table, their "Not so Effing Hot Sauce" and it was definitely spicier than I expected. Overall the ambience is nice, service was excellent, and the food was pretty good. They have a varied menu that changes often as all food served is locally sourced. read more

The food is fantastic (hamburger, cheese pizza, grilled peach salad with snapper, & snapper dish); and service was great. Fresh is word of the day and the food is proof of that. Nice beer, wine, & cocktail selection. It may be in a low key shopping center, but don't let that stop you from trying it out. Great casual atmosphere with food quality that can pass most "up scale" restaurants! Can't wait to try their pasta dishes on the next visit. read more

SO FANTASTIC!!! This is one of the best meals I've had in a long time! We started with The Local Spinach Dip and OMG it was so flavorful, and the color was such a vibrant green. For my entree I had the chicken breast with blacked green beans and creamy au gratin hash. (FYI - each entree comes with 2 sides) It literally was the best meal I've had lately! I could eat it every night for dinner! My daughter had the Vegetable Pasta with a side of roasted cauliflower and she absolutely loved it! My mom had the Snapper Piccata with roasted cauliflower and sweet potato cake. My moms best friend had the Keto steak with roasted cauliflower and sweet potato cake. We all enjoyed every bite of our food!! AND.... of course we HAD to have dessert! The only downer for the night was the "shortage" of desserts. They were out of a lot of things. I ended up with the Chocolate cake and my mom and daughter had zeppoles and my moms best friend had the pina colada bread pudding. I will definitely be going back! Great meal!! Great atmosphere! read more

A fresh stop for one or family. The cowboy rubbed beef brisket had an array of amazing flavors: sweet, a little bite and great meat. The Brussel sprouts were done to perfection and the local Au Gratin hash is smooth tasting. Try the carnivore pizza - it's pretty good and well titled. The seared salmon is great and the pasta side makes a great pairing. The oven-roasted pasture raised chicken breast was succulent: hearty taste yet light flavor. read more

This is the second and last time we've been here. I had the FL shrimp with corn and other vegetables. The shrimp was on the bottom of the plate and when I tried to cut it, I had to use a knife because it was so hard. Very over cooked, so spoke to the waitress, she apologized, and said she'd replace the shrimp. A little later she came back with 3 overcooked shrimp. The dinner had 6. Needless to say it was a flop. I ended up getting 9 bad shrimp, no offer to switch my dinner. The manager never came over and asked if he could help. My husband had pork tenderloin and said "it wasn't bad". The waitress was very sweet and knew I was unhappy but the kitchen wasn't helping her fix the problems. Just cheap brown tables with white chairs. Certainly not a comfy, cozy place for some for some mediocre to bad food. Will never return. read more

Great service. Superb food. Farm to table so everything is fresh. Grouper is amazing.

Ok I almost never leave reviews but I have give them more the one time chance to see if is just a bad day I love the food of this place but they need to improve in paying attention to the costumer orders and definitely costumer service I always order the vegan bruschetta and I order one to go with everything separately that way bread don't get soggy well third time they do this and put the cheese and top and leave tomato on side and I ask for everything on the side the bread is soggy 3rd time read more

We've been to this restaurant many times, and I'd consider it a good local choice ( we live very close). Though the food is usually pretty good, the prices have gotten quite high since the pandemic, so I wouldn't consider it a great value for the money. We went in today for the "Sunset Special" which usually runs from 4:00 to 6:15 pm but were told by our server the owner had decided to discontinue it for the two weeks around Christmas. Very annoying since there were signs all over the restaurant promoting the special - and it's even detailed on their website! read more

The watermelon salad is BOMB and quite plentiful. No clashing flavors. Great service. Oh and no crowds so very social distancing friendly. I truly don't know which was worse; the food or the service. Absolutely unbelievable how little care our server had. He hung out behind the bar talking with coworkers every second he could. He left us stewing like 3 day old shrimp cocktail in the corner while he was chattin it up. Guy Fieri needs to re evaluate his review of this place. It was AWFUL read more

I came in for brunch and had a delicious dish. I got the brisket hash. This had potatoes, smoked brisket, peppers, onions, bacon aoli, and an over easy egg on top. The brisket was so smokey it coated my mouth with flavor on each bite. The bacon aoli was creamy and had a nice bacon flavor. This pulled together all the ingredients. This is something I would order again without hesitation. read more

Great locally owned and operated restaurant good clean food Everything is very fresh and delicious.

Not my type of place but the food was good. The price for lunch is rather breathtaking. The big draw for us was their grass fed hamburger. It is served for lunch only. My daughter in law can only eat grass fed beef. So bingo we are good to go. I had their lentil soup, grouper sandwich, and the table shared the homemade apple pie. The soup was very good the grouper was supposed to be blackened but I sure never saw it. The grouper was rather bland and could have used the spice. The apple pie has homemade and it was as good an apple pie I have had from a restaurant. Mrs of course makes the best apple pie. :) read more

I was anxious to try this local farm to table spot for the mere gumption of it. Sadly the meal and menu did not deliver. We tried the beet salad with a disappointing local goat cheese and no sign of a promised orange slice squeeze or zest. The carbonara was the best of our choices - great pasta and a fresh egg on top. The pot roast was more like boiled beef with little seasoning or gravy. We ended the meal with a very dry apple and blueberry pie. How does anyone bake a DRY fruit pie ? No cocktails and a $100 tab will not make us try it again. read more

Love this place. Fresh ingredients and a talented chef. It's the place where I'm likely to order much more healthy food or even vegan because it tastes so good. read more

Extremely overpriced. My entrée came with a small side salad...literally a side dish in a tiny bowl. I asked to add cucumber and tomato (one would think this would automatically come on a SALAD, but not here!) They charged $3 extra for the three peices of a diced tomato and cucumber. (Was also charged $2 to add lettuce and half slice of tomato to a kids burger!!) Wish I took a picture. I love and always support local business but this is downright insulting. I'd also like to add that the salad was made wrong...and when asked if I wanted to send it back so they can correct it, I said "no, I'll deal, I hate wasting food" and was still charged extra!!! Thanks guys. Thanks a bunch. 4 people - 2 adults, 2 kids - lunch - no alcohol - $118 read more

The Local Restaurant - Sunset menu - Seafood Near Me - Naples, Florida

What a great place!! My parents took me here while I was visiting and I have to say I was impressed with the food and service. Naples has some of the BEST places to dine and I've been to pretty much all of them all in the past 25 plus years. Supporting local businesses is important. The owners are a bother and sister and if your Vegan this is definitely a place for you too! They also support local farmers and the food is very fresh. They do not have a full bar however there is a nice wine selection and beer on tap (if you like draft) I did see a few cocktails on the menu and when I asked for a Vodka and soda the server immediately told me NO!! Weird since Vodka was in one of the cocktails they offered... The menu is not overwhelming at all and they have a nice 3 course meal fir $25.00 that you can't pass up especially when everything looks so yummy. Started with soups and salads: Chicken noodle was hands down the chefs grandmother's recipe the chicken melted in your mouth as if they injected butter into it prior.. Red lentil soup was delicious it needed a bit of salt and pepper Mixed Green Salad was super fresh and plenty of greens with some onions blue cheese crumbles and a nice slice of tomato Entrees: Cowboy brisket the meat was pretty tough and not that great Triple tail was a nice filet and prepared to perfection Kung Pu Avocado was hands down the BEST and favorite. Sauce was perfect and the avocados melted in your mouth. They do not offer any desserts or if they do we were not offered. Our server was spunky and very sweet. Next time I want to check out the brunch they offer.... read more
