1 Stars are for not enforcing the mask mandate and being slow. Nothing about the food or the coffee For all the one stars you see, most of them are because you can CHOOSE to wear a mask or not with COVID. I WORE MY MASK. And guess what? My coffee was still excellent! You also know the other one stars are because of privileged city goers coming back from skiing or hiking. It's a small town and community. They are at a slower pace of life! Science has even proven that city dwelling is detrimental to your health. So take a moment to slow down and breath. The barista also knew everyone BUT me because it was my first time. Guess what? Even with my mask, I was still treated with respect and I commended her on knowing everyone else's drinks when they walked in. It was thanksgiving and I was just bless they were open and giving me my cup of joe.

What a beautiful, cozy, and calm coffee shop. This is the perfect stop on your way to/from Mt Rainer National Park. The barista was friendly and welcoming of visitors. I appreciated the wisdom and experience the barista shared among coffee enthusiasts. I purchased the hibiscus mango lemonade tea and that was probably one of the most refreshing drinks in my life. Also, it is quite respectable and admired when a double shot of espresso only costs $2 and it was a strong, simple good espresso!

I used to really like this place because they always had food all day and great service but this year they are always out of sandwiches and breakfast items and they only have one person working so its really slow. The bacon sandwich is very good, it's the only thing that keeps me coming back. I had the caprese though and it was really bad. Not sure why it is called a caprese because it has nothing like that in it. It took approximately 40 min last week to get a coffee, today it was so long I just left. Probably won't be coming back anymore. As a side note, they are pretty up front about not wearing masks so I would not recommend if you are concerned about covid. They continued to stay open for indoor dining during the mandated closure so not the most covid friendly.

Let's get this out of the way. Staff wasn't wearing a mask and prominent displays of Christian paraphernalia. Got coffee. Honey tumeric latte. I don't know why more places do not make this drink. It was executed competently. There was seating outside with a small fire table so my group was able to enjoy the evening with a warm beverage and crackling fire. Not bad at all.

Walking in I was engulfed in the aroma of fresh cinnamon rolls. I absolutely adore this town and the boutiques. Local coffee is exactly what I picture in my mind when I want coffee and a leather chair to sit in with a good book. I would definitely come here again.

Me and my dogs taking a pic while waiting for our breakfast sandwiches. Super dog friendly here

We were recommended to The Local from the friend we were staying with in Enumclaw. We went for coffee (had vanilla Latte coffees which were excellent) and then got two breakfast sandwiches (one bacon and the other sausage). They were so fresh and yummy-- probably the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! I'm still thinking about it!

Very disappointed in this establishment and how they are disregarding safety during the pandemic. I love supporting small businesses and used to come here often to study and meet up w/ friends pre covid, however I cannot support a business that allows their patrons to enter w/o a mask, baristas to serve w/o a mask, and to stay open under "religious" privileges. The Local's blatant stance screams white privilege and just shows that they do not care about their community. If they really loved their neighbors as themselves, they would mask up and close their doors. The review below is Pre Covid thoughts :( FOOD: Their coffee is Stumptown, they have many milk options and different drinks available such as cold brew, smoothies, and kombucha. They also serve mini donuts made the same day as well as sandwiches. I really like the caprese sandwich and you can ask to get it warmed up. PRICE: Food is $-$$, their coffee is decently priced and their sandwiches are cheap and good, however their smoothies or red bull drinks are a bit pricer. Items in store $$-$$$, many of the items that you may buy are expensive for what they are, however many of the items available are handmade or supplied by local vendors. ATMOSPHERE: Small town farm vibes. Lots of seating. A back room for more privacy if you can snag it. One of their walls features a local artist that you can buy their art. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The baristas there are friendly and make great coffee!

White chocolate Americano with half of a jalapeño bagel with plain cream cheese and half a bacon, egg sandwich with a Asiago cheese bagel.

Passing through and stopped here for coffee and breakfast. Coffee was perfect and the bagel sandwiches are delicious! Definitely had a very friendly small town vibe.

The Local is a nice LOCAL coffee and gift shop in downtown Enumclaw. I came here after an all-day event, so desperately needed caffeine for the drive home. I found The Local after walking around town and the storefront is what drew me in, with its large, open windows and the place resembled that of a former hardware store. It had a lot of character. And when I walked in, the place certainly did! In addition to it being a coffee shop with tables and seats for lounging in the front area, the back space serves as a store for homemade house decor and gifts. I ordered a sugar free iced mocha, which was solid. The Local's menu had standard coffee drinks, but saw that they had kombucha on tap and several different syrup flavors. They also had some small snack items, like pastries and candy. What I liked most about the place were the homemade gift items. In particular, they sell wooden signs where you can customize any message on them, as the local business owner who makes these provides an order form for those interested. Love the personal touch of this small business and is clear The Local is community-oriented. Overall, The Local is a great coffee stop in downtown Enumclaw for just that, coffee...with fun gift items to check out!

Got the blue butterfly flower iced tea and cafe mocha - tasted ok. Going by how good the google reviews were, expected better service.
